Seeking Paed in Brisbane with Kidney specialty?

My son was born with posterior urethral valves and has only one functioning kidney. I'm seeking a paediatrician, preferably with kidney interest/experience. Would love a recommendation of someone who's a good listener and who doesn't require a 3 month wait to get an appointment! Please can anyone give me some names?

hi i went to one the other day for my son who had a UTI and they were worried it was something more (its not thank goodness) anyway the pead we saw was really lovely she covered everything from birth to where he is now... she went through milestones (she said lochie was advanced, could be why i like her!!) and was just really thorough.... shes at nundah in oliver street... and her name is dr susan cadzow...

The only paediatric nephrologist in Brisbane are John Burke and Steve Mctaggert.

my DD has kidney and urinary tract issues. We saw Dr Mark Stretton as a paedatrician. He's referred us onto a uruologist (sp?) but Dr Stretton was really good with the kidney stuff. Not sure how long it takes to get an appt with him but i know the urologist is 3 mths wait. Good luck with everything.

Hi. I'm looking for a paediatrician in brisbane who specialises in kidney problems. My daughter, now 7, was diagnosed as a baby with reflux after 2 stays in hospital with really bad UTI's. She's been relatively well over the last 4 years, but has had 2 UTI's in 3 weeks, so I need to take her to a paed. I have had no luck finding our old paeditrician Dr Bruce Goodwin. Can anyone recommend a good one. My son, who was born with worse kindney problems used to see Dr Burke and Dr Borzi, and although Borzi is great he's hard to get into. I really need to see someone sooner rather than later. Thanks

Hi,

My little one had to have a cystoscopy as a 5 month old and we saw Dr. David Winkle; he's a paediatric urologist and at the time he was operating out of the Mater Children's hospital. This was about 3 years ago now.

He was lovely, gentle and really nice as well as being excellent at his job.

I got an appointment for my sons cystoscopy (we had a consultation just before he took my boy in) within 3 weeks. There is a possibility that we got in quicker than normal as my Father is a doctor and that was written on our referral.
