Acupuncture over a week ago and still REALLY SORE

It was Thursday before last that I had acupuncture done - and my shoulders/upper back are still REALLY sore from it. I shouldn't be sore still - should I?? I tried to have a bath this afternoon to soothe it - but my bath goes cold really quickly so that didn't help at all. Any suggestions???

are you saying that the muscles are sore, as in the problem it was trying to treat? or is it sore where the needles went in?

Mostly where the needles went in. My shoulders are really sore and the glands under my arm pits are a bit sore too. Also where the needles went in there are little red spots and most of them are quite pimply - I normally have a really clear back!

I have had accupuncture a few times, have never had a reaction like that though, only its never actually worked for me. Have you had accupuncture before?

I had it a few times as a child and from what I recall it worked.

Maybe I just need my hubby home to give me a good massage!!! :kiss:

I have been having acupuncture once a week for a few weeks for fertility and have had it in the past for a wrist problem... I have never felt sore at all afterwards, or even during, except for when they are putting it in or moving it around in certain bony spots (like in my foot or between my eyes! :eek: )

I would speak to your therapist and tell them what you are experiancing.
