I was wondering what other parent notice that their little ones do that suprises them.
My son, when he has something in his mouth he knows hes not meant to have, I just have to either hold my hand out to him and/or say 'tah' and he will spit it out for you.
However if he knows he is allowed to have it (say I missed some crust when cleaning his lunch up) there is no way in hell you will get it out of his mouth

I think that is very well done of him lol. I have learnt to 'listen' to him about this and if he doesnt give it to me, I can pretty much let it go.

I also think it very cute that he has learnt to get his pants on with my help. So if I hold his pants out for him, he will come and step in...However he is still learning to hold on

Too cute.

DD is currently patting a crying DS and giving him kisses to make him feel better (and it worked he has stopped crying!):yelclap:

She also gives high fives then does the thumbs up (with no thumb up) and says cool dude:laughing:

Jasper has learnt that mummy and daddy's deepest fear is him choking (or not breathing) so he does this very dramatic fake choking noise if he isn't getting attention - often in the back of the car!

I did it back to him, made a choking noise, and he reached up and gave me a cuddle. I think he thinks choking noise means "Cuddle me!"

I still remember DD's first ever joke she played on us! She was about 2 and we were out walking and she looked behind us and pointed and said "duck!", so we both looked round to see the duck only there was nothing there. When we looked back at her, she started laughing and laughing and saying "haha... NO duck!".

Seacretsquirrel I have seen kids do this before it is the cutest and caring thing ever to see :yelclap: I cant help but go "aawweee" everytime lol

chel87 That would be kind of annoying, like th eboy who cried wolf. I hope you can tell when he is playing! DS does that but coughing, he just coughs and then ya copy him and he keeps doing it haha

ANonnyMouse :laughing::laughing: At least you didnt hit the deck lol. I cant wait for DS to get to the stage of making his own little jokes up.

My DS is 17 months old and for a couple months now when he is playing with his straw cup in the car ( making the water go everywhere) I reach around to grab it off him and he puts it in his mouth and starts drinking so I cant get it!

At night time too he has milk in his cup, when I pick him up to say good night he will drink a heap more to stall going to bed.

It makes me wonder how he learns these things. Like when he started to get into the kitchen cupboards I held my leg against it so he couldnt get in and he tried to push me out the way. God knows where he learn that!

Ty does the spit it out thing too, it's good cause you say ta, and he gives you what he has, most of the time. Ty is going through a chasing stage at the moment. He comes out the the lounge room peeks his head around the coutch and if he sees you look at him he starts to run to his bedroom, and wants you to chace him, and if you do, he has a cute little laugh.

DS2 has a runny nose at the moment, and everytime he sneezes or just feels the need, he gets me a tissue and presents his nose for wiping:D, he then takes it off me and puts it in the bin. DS1 always screamed and ran away at that age if I was to try to wipe his nose.

DS2 will even clean up after everyone by picking up their dishes and shoving them in the sink:yes:. Not good when the sink is full of water and the bowls are full of food.:p

Ds is very much the ladies man always has been.
From about 2yo every few days in comes in when I'm getting ready and tells me how beautiful I look :cloud9: and if I get my hair done or a new outfit he is the first to comment on how nice it is and looks.
His such a sweetie and makes my day as long as he keeps it up his future wife will be a very lucky lady.

I'm 20 wks pg and getting to the hard to bend over stage - and often have DS2 (19 months) on my hip anyway so it's hard to pick anything up off the floor. So now I point to whatever I want on the floor and say 'Ta' and then I kind of turn DS upside down and he picks it up for me! Very nifty.
