Just a silly question perhaps.
I know most (loose generalisation) people ovluate around CD 10-14.
Does it make a difference if your AF is short or long as to when you ovulate?
My AF is only 4 days long, so will I ovulate sooner than someone who has say a 7 day AF?
Oh and my cycle is usually only 23-25 days long.
Just want to know when to start using the OPK's - don't want to waste them hehe.

I think the general rule is that O usually happens 14 days before AF. So, I don't think it matters how long AF lasts.

I agree with PP that it doesn't matter how long AF lasts. What ultimately matters is how long your luteal phase is. For example I have on average a 26 day cycle but I don't usually ovulate until day 16 because I only have a 10 day luteal phase. The generalisations that are out there are very loose as you said.
By way of answering your question - the instructions that come with my OPKs say that for a 23 day cycle you should start testing on day 7 (day 8 for a 25 day cycle). Hope that helps you out. Your OPKs might have something written in their instructions or on the box which tell you something similar. Good luck.

felicia81 my cycle is like yours. I have 4 days of AF and a 25 day cycle, I ovulate on CD12.
