I am really quite mad about this. Last night DH gets a txt message from his sister to say that DH's niece's little boy (he is 18 months) has inhaled metho and is in hospital!

We couldn't believe the message we received. So of course like any normal person we asked how the hell that happened. Apparently the father of the baby was downstairs with the little fella and was using metho to clean something and the child thought it looked like something good to drink and took a swig which the father saw and apparently yelled at which frightened the little boy who instead of swallowing the metho, inhaled it, which then caused the baby to pass out and begin to turn blue!. I just have to wonder if their is truth behind that story, this little boy has had too many accidents for my liking and yet nothing seems to be done about it.

Originally the child was taken away as the father was beating up the mother with the baby in her arms, but she got the child back, and so did he. Next the child fell off a 2nd story balcony and another incident where hot coffee was spilt all over his arms and legs.

Now I am pretty clumsy myself but to me that seems like alot of so called 'accidents' for such a young child. I just really have to wonder when is someone going to step in and look into this.

Sorry that is my vent for the day. Oh and the little boy is fine now apparently but still in hospital!

with that many "accidents", I'd call DoCS to look into it, I know it's family, but it may be in the child's best interests IYKWIM :hugs:

Docs has been informed about all of the incidents, yet they seem to want to just keep giving them chance after chance!:banghead:

Poor little darling. Hope he recovers fully very soon.
Maybe this will be the incident that finally spurs DOCS into action? Sad it had to come to this though. The kid has to nearly die before something is done

Let's hope this is what kicks DOCS into action. I know accidents can happen but I do think that is too many times. What's worse is the mother is pg again too.:(

I think maybe its the environment of this man, but at the same time i know how hard ti can be to stay fully active while pregnant.

THat is so bad that that sort of thing happened to the baby!! :crying: :banghead: Please contact them, and if they already have a file i am sure they will defiantly look into it.
