Hi there
Okay, I'm starting to go insane...I am spotting. I spot from 8DPO and then I get my AF at around 12 DPO. I have an OBGYN appointment on 28 July and I'm hoping I'll get some answers.
In the meantime I'd thought I'd ask the lovely ladies on here...do you spot...has it stopped you from conceiving and what did you do to stop it??
TIA

Hi Silverbaby
I spot from around 8 or 9 DPO and AF comes on 10 or 11DPO. This hasn't stopped me getting UTD and although I've had multiple miscarriages, they have mainly been a lot of bad luck. Sometimes spotting can indicate low progesterone levels I think - if you are in the second half of your cycle, it might be worth getting levels done to check (your GP could request them) - one thing you could cross off before seeing the FS - otherwise I'm sure they would look at that.
Good luck - hope you turn out to be preggers at the appointment.

Hi
I'm interested in hearing about this too, although my situation is a little different.
Normally (who knows what normal is anymore!!) I have spotting the day before AF arrives and a couple of days after. At the moment I am at CD12 and have been spotting for the last few days. AF finished around CD4 and I haven't O'd yet (been using opk's). There's not much there, and it's brownish not red, but it is totally confusing

Spotting can be a sign of endo (if you suffer painful AF's), or it can also be a sign of low progesterone.
Unfortunately also, it can be for an unknown reason which is my case....
I spot from around 9 dpo till AF arrives at 15dpo so about 6 days of spotting, just lightly, but have had progesterone monitoring, laparoscopy, tried clomid etc and it still haunts me! My GP, Obgyn and FS all say that it doesnt hinder TTC as its not a progesterone issue, so like MrMoosmum said, have your progesterone tested to see. They do this by doing 3 blood tests after you ovulate to check your levels are staying high through your 2ww. Goodluck!

I spot from 3dpo until af arrives at 10dpo, my progesterone drops after o for some reason but last cycle with clomid i didn't spot until the day before af and had a 12 day lp.
It can be a sign of endo i have mild endo but my dr thinks it's the pcos that causes it.
Good luck hope it gets sorted out for you.

Hi there
Thank you for all your replies. I don't have painful periods or bad pmt so that's something at least! My temps stay up even when I'm spotting and only goes down once I get my period. I will definitely get my progesterone tested but will wait for my gyno to do that. Luckily he's also a fertility specialist so at least if there is anything wrong ...I won't have to change doctors
I'll let you know what my OBGYN says re: the spotting...my GP thought it was fine...would like to get tested to know for sure...just started cycle 8..
Thanks again

I usually have very light spotting about 3 - 4 days before AF arrives.
