I love it. Its so great being able to watch it all.

I cant see Cadel Evans getting up this year though .... will end up being Armstrong or Contador for sure.

DH and I have been sitting up late and watching it. Poor Cadel, we don't see him making up all the time he has lost.

 Yes, have watched it every year for as long as I can remember.

Poor Cadel,... always the bridesmaid, never the bride. :(

Watching it every day here (yep, I get to watch it in the afternoons! I keep my diary free :D) I would say Contador has it sewn up now. I get a bit sick of people saying Lance hasn't 'got it in him' Look at his age, 3 years out of serious riding and he finished top 10 in the Giro and should finish top 10 here. I'm impressed.

Sadly I think Cadel made a bad choice staying with Silence Lotto. It does NOT have the team to support him, but that is his choice. If he'd had the team last year he could have won it.

:iagree:. I think Contador will win but I am really hoping Lance Armstrong gets there. They say it is a fantastically strong team.

DH & I are planning on doing a tour of Le Tour in a few years time. Just following it along would be so awesome

Actually I am kind of hoping that Astana get 1, 2, 3 with Contador, Armstrong and Kloden.

Rumours are pretty rife that Armstrong will have his own team next year, so that'll be pretty interesting

We're not watching the tour as much as we would normally ... our SBS reception is shocking atm for some reason, and some days its unwatchable. I don't have the stamina for much more than an hour of the stage at night, and then catch the highlights the next evening, unfortunately ...

As to who's going to get it ... probably Contador. I don't think Lance has the support at Astana he is used to ... his teams in the past have been all about Lance Armstrong, and Astana is focused elsewhere.

That said, he is Armstrong, the master of the surprise win.

Not sure we will see any Aussies up there this time around ... the teams situation seems particularly woeful for the Australian riders atm.

Regardless of the outcome, though, I love it all. Always thrilling ... even when we can't SEE it properly :hissy:

Jaq - you can get live streaming through the sbs web site.
