Hi everyone,

DH and I have been TTC since March for Baby #1 and we've had no luck as yet. I previously used Implanon for 5.5 years, and Yasmin for 3 weeks. I know its still pretty early as far as TTC goes, but is it ever going to happen?!!

My AF is normally every 28 days like clockwork. My last one was 4 days overdue (which was absolutely devastating - by the 4th day, I'd pretty much convinced myself that I was preg, and that my hormone levels weren't high enough yet to show up on a test... but nope, AF arrived).

AF was due on Friday but she is still yet to make an appearance.

This is driving me nuts!!! Why is it now that we're TTC that AF goes awol?

Every month I keep my cool and just relax and BD all the time... but then when AF is late, I go a bit nutty (probably PMS lol).

Sorry, but I just needed to vent :) I have a wonderful DH and great friends who are all very supportive, but I'm sick of being told to keep cool and just wait cos it'll happen... I feel like they don't understand just how hard it is to "just wait" sometimes!

It's nice to be able to vent, thats why I love bubhub!!

We have also been ttc since march with no luck!! I have 2 beautiful boys already which makes me feel so lucky as there are so many women on here who have been trying for so long for bub#1, which makes me feel so bad when I get frustrated that we are on our 5th cycle ttc #3 and nothing, but I just want to see that :bfp: so badly!
It took us 3 cycles with ds1 and 2 cycles with ds2, and even though I have had a feeling from the start that #3 wont happen as quick, I kind of hoped I was wrong!! Im getting more and more frustrated because I thought it may just take 1 cycle more then the first 2 bubs!!
I know exactly how you feel at the momment... everyone says relax, dont think about it and it will happen... but it is so hard to do, no matter how hard you try!!

I could only imagine how you would have been feeling when af was late, that would have been upsetting to think that this may be it!! :hugs:

But like everyone else says... It will happen for both of us hopefully very soon... I wish you the very best!!
Lots and lots of :babydust2: to you... hope you see that wonderful :bfp: very soon!!

I just wanted to come in and offer some :hugs:

It was Christmas Day 2006 when we decided we would have another kid. And so I went off the pill and we just started bunking down whenever. I didn't chart or anything or keep track of things.

It took until August 2008 for me to fall pregnant so we were surprised because we didn't think it would happen.

And in May we finally blessed with another girl. And the wait was worth it, the worrying something wasn't right with one of us... it was just taking time.

So, hang in there and I look forward to reading pregnancy announcements. :D

Hi:) just thought i would share my experience.
I was on the pill for 6 year straight (yasmin). my dh and i decided to ttc. i came off the pill, had a withdrawal bleed and then nothing for 6 weeks when af arrived. I fell pregnant with dd on the next cycle. We are ttc again and same thing happened 6 weeks and then af, and its now been 3 cycles and still nothing.
i guess what im tying to say is that the pill/implanon creates falls periods/or none and it takes a while for your cycles to regulate when you come off them. The great thing is, you cycles should no doubt regulate and you will fall pregnant like i did. (for dd we baby danced every 3 days through my whole cycle because i wasnt up for charting at that stage).
good luck and i hope you get a :bfp: soon!!!

Thanks girls so much - this is what I love about bubhub too. We're all here for one another and all know exactly how the others are feeling! When I have friends who aren't trying to get preg cause they don't want kids telling me "it'll happen, just relax" I don't think they fully understand - but you all do!

I never got AF while I had implanon, and we decided to start TTC after 3 weeks of me being on yasmin, so I wondered if my cycle might have been messed up after all the years of contraception, but I've been getting regular AFs since then, and was hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones that get UTD in the first few cycles.

I know that my time will come, I just wish it wasn't taking so long :o

Thank you so much for your understanding - it really does help :hugs:

Being on Implanon etc for so long is going to muck with your hormones, it may take some time for it to settle down and straighten out.

My body just doesnt accept contraception (not that I complain haha) it plays with my hormones way to much.

I every day think is this EVER going to happen, we have been TTC for 18 months with so far 4 months of acupuncture, herbs and remedies to help cycles etc.. and 1500 dollars later!!!
Good luck and I hope you get your BFP soon.. Have some :hugs: and enjoy the practice ;)

hmmmm i was on implanon for 5 and half years aswell.. i only got mine out 2 weeks ago.. it scares me to think implanon may effect you from having children.. by the way.. can you remember if after you got it removed if you had any strange problems with your body? for example cramps headaches etc?..

I had a bit ofa loss of appetite when I came off implanon - but I went onto yasmin straight away, so its hard to know what the cause was really.

Its a pity that these contraceptives don't come with a bit of info about what happens in this situation (e.g. what happens when you stop the pil or have your implanon taken out). I might have looked a different options if I knew this was going to happen - on the other hand though, these contraceptives react differently to each woman, so I guess there's no blanket fix for it all, except time (I hope).

Hi....sorry I don't have any advice re: implanon, just wanted to send you some :hugs::hugs:

I know how you feel. It doesn't matter how long you may have been TTC, when you know you are ready to start a family, we all want it to happen immediately

Sending you lots of :babydust2:...hope we both get some good news soon

hello girlies! aw i hope everyone gets BFP soon, fingers crossed for you all!
i had a mirena IUD for 12 months, had it removed april 7th and concieved april 28th, that bubs MC'd at 6 weeks 3 days, ive since then just concieved again ( dates etc unknown) and we didnt chart etc, my mucus is not very strong so cant tell based on it, so we just BD'd every second day, from day 10 onwards. the only real sign i had was a little cramp in my ovary around June 29th and i thought my body was releasing an egg.
