DD (who is nearly 4) has been going to this child care centre since she was 8 months old and I have absolutely no problems with them. I think they are fantastic. DS has been going there now for months and he is happy (mind you I think he'd be happy anywhere:) ).

We have moved house a couple of times since DD started there and so it now is about a 25 minute drive away. We have had a Tadpoles open up just around the corner from where we are now and I'm wondering whether I should transfer them over at the end of the year.

The thing is, all of DD's friends are going off to Prep next year (she just misses out) so she's going to be a bit lonely anyway I think. Also, if I move her to the one just around the corner, wouldn't she be more likely to make friends that she is likely to then go on to school with (as she will be going to school in this area too). I don't know whether this will upset her too much. She has told me that she would like to go to the new one next year so she can make new friends, but I'm not sure if she understands the reality of it. Should I just leave her where she is where she is familiar with the staff?

Any advice? Also, has anyone had any experience with Tadpoles?

You have a really tough decision ahead of you! But to be honest with you I would probably move her to the new centre that is closer to you as there are so many positives to moving DD.
It will make life run so much smoother for you and your family without all that added travelling time and expense, it would be nice for your DD to make some new friends closer to home and hopefully ones that will go to school with her and at her age since lots of her little friends will be leaving as well it might be a nice exciting adventure for her.
Good luck! :fingerscrossed:
