Hi Everyone.

My cousin who is 20 months old, was found to have an allergic reaction to peanuts this week and it has been officially confirmed by an allergist. I was wondering if any of you, whose children may be allergic to peanuts, would mind noting down some of the foods and products you have found that dont contain peanuts or traces of peanuts etc.. I know weat bix and uncle tobys porridge are two such foods.. but if I get a list of a few, it will be great to give to my aunty.. save her a lot of rummaging through boxes etc at the supermarket, will give her some direction. I have yet to try my 16 month old with anything to do with peanuts, its such a scary allergy isnt it!!!!

Thanks in advance...
Danielle

You can buy t.shirts, badges and stickers to make people aware of your childs allergy, may be a nice gift for your cousin's child just a thought:D

Hi Danielle

My DD is severley allergic to peanuts and eggs. We've lived with it now for 18+ months and it does get easier. You can't let your guard down though as that is when stupid things that you kick yourself after happens.

Here's a list of what we packaged food we can buy:

Sanitarium weet-bix
Heinz baby muesli
Corn Thins (great snack with cream cheese)
Coles Brand rice crackers
Kinnerton chocolate bars (from Priceline & Target)
Natural confectionary company lollies

There is a great allergy forum site that you may want to check out: http://pwak.1.forumer.com

Sorry the list is small but my brain is suffering after only 1 hours sleep (too much soccer!).

Cheers
Janelle
