Hi,

I recieved some blood tests from my FS yesterday which revealed that I am ANA+ (antinclear antibody) though the results where on the lower end. He is running some further tests for Lupus systemic and Rhumetoid arthritis. I have had one early M/C in March this year and also have PCOS. Is anyone currently being treated for this while TTC and if so what is being prescribed? My FS spoke about baby aspirin and possibly Heparin, but waiting on the further test results to come back first. This was picked up as he was running tests for clotting disorders that run in my family factor IV, c protein and lupus anti coagulant which all came back negative. TIA

Hi kylnor,

I recently got diagnosed with ITP which is a autoimmune disease where my body destroys the platelets (for clotting) in my blood. Funnily enough, they were looking for a clotting problem as blood clots are frequent in my family on both sides. During more testing I came up positive for ANA, but not enough to have lupus, I also have a "Ro" antibody that lupus people have and it can occasionally cause heart blockages in babies. Very rare though.

I am new to all of this my diagnosis was in April, I have seen many specialists and none of them have said not to have a baby, I just needed to be aware. I only go on medication if my platelet level drops to 20 000, (norm 150 -400 000). I take nothing in relation to the ANA.

I hoped that helped some. Also remember some people test pos for ANA and have nothing wrong with them. I wish you well.:goodvibes:
