Hi,
My little bubby DS has eczema and I swear it was getting worse. I think it's because we made the move to Cairns where it's MUCH warmer than Melbourne and as you may or may not have noticed with your bubs, the itchiness gets worse when the skin is hot.
Anyway, I have tried many different creams and whilst tea tree oil worked, it ONLY worked if used undiluted. I'd since found out undiluted tea tree oil is too strong for babies and tried it diluted which didn't work; tried the tea tree oil cream and didn't work; tried tea tree oil bath and didn't work.
At my wits end, I went to a chinese herbalist. He gave me some medicine stuff to boil and drink, and also gave me this cream to use on Cameron. Today is the third day, and lo and behold, IT'S CLEARING UP! The medicine doesn't taste bad - even Cameron has about 20mls whenever I have some - which is three times a day.
Cameron's eczema is worst on his feet and whilst cortizones, QV baths/lotions, dermaid, dermeze, cortival creams, other Ego products, Avenue baths and other baby oils give limited control over the eczema on the neck, chest, biceps and elbows, it didn't absolutely nothing for his feet. As I mentioned before, it was only undiluted tea tree that worked on his feet.
This stuff from the chinese herbalist works! Unfortunately I don't know what this medicine and cream is called but maybe give the herbalist a try? I've never seen his feet so smooth and for once, I've not put socks on him and he DOES NOT SCRATCH!!! WOO HOO!!!
