Hello
DP, 3yr old DD and I are making the move from Sydney to the Central Coast in the next couple of months :smiliedance: yay can't wait!
Just wanted to know how you find it for kids activities? Playgroups/Playcentres? What is the library service like?
Any pointers?
Also what suburb do you live in and what's good or bad about it?
Thanks!

We live at Point Frederick (just near Gosford) and love it  We're right near the waterfront and within walking distance to Gosford shops and the station and 5 mins from Erina Fair.
I grew up at Umina and love it there too.
I think the library system is good, we go quite often, sometimes to storytime, sometimes just to borrow.
There are heaps of playcentres around
Good Luck with the move!

We're not sure about where we'll live yet, we'll be renting so it's a matter of what's available really.
We just want to make sure we're either right on the coast or the lake.

heh, generally speaking even if you dont live that close to water, your not exactly far away from it :p
Im midway - Entrance area... only bad for me is its the tourist area and can sometimes feel like the peace has disappeared... but generally quite good.
No complaints about anywhere on the coast really... i dont do the library thing, do more catch up with friends when we can. Playcentres everywhere really - prefer Tuggerah.
Though, getting some of these Coast members together can be like pulling teeth :shame::laughing:

 The coast is awesome for kiddies:yes: We just bought a house in Berkeley Vale, great area for families. Heaps of parks, playgroups, there is a great toy library near by, libraries are okay...good for holiday activities and story time. I love living here, hubby travels to work everyday but he does not mind. Leaves at 5.30am so he can be home by 5.30pm.
Erin, I am up for a meet...would like to see you again.

Thanks for the replies ladies.
spoon - We actually have a rental to look at on Saturday in Berkeley Vale! Looks like a nice area.
Can I ask does your hubby work in Sydney? DP works in the city and will have to do the commute for the first little while and we're curious to know what the travel time will be during peak times.
