is it possible to ovulate twice in the one cycle? i am asking because for the last two cycles i have been charting and both months i have had two positive opk's each moth 7days apart, my only rise with the first positive opk though. my cycles are 38days long with positives opks at day 18 and 27.
what do you think?

it is possible not sure if it's possible that far apart though. what could be happening is your body is trying to ovulate earlier in your cycle but isn't getting there and so you are ovulating later this happens to me. Do you have a chart i could look at? if you're temping you should be able to see the thermal shift showing ovulation.

Its also possible it was a chem pg. The OPK can pick up pg hormones as well (hcg) - so that might have been happening the 2nd time. Esp if your temp was already up - it also could explain why your cycle was a bit long..
Did you also do an HPT? Maybe try that this cycle if you get the same thing.

Goodluck!

There is a phenomenom called a lunar cycle where is is possible to ovulate twice in one month. It is not necesarily proven, but there is some evidence to show that you can ovulate at your lunar peak, or when the cycle of the moon is at the same postion that it was when you were born. This can result in a spontaneous ovulation (as a result usually of sexual activity of some variety).
Otherwise like previously suggested by ringneck that it could be that your body gets ready to ovulate, then doesn't quite make it, and then retries a week later.
Best of luck, my only suggestion is to make sure that you BD at both postive OPK readings, just to be sure.
