Ok well i have been going through some tests well still going through them actually :hair: lol
and the doctors have found out i have an underactive thyroid which is the reason i only get my periods every 6 months or so because the thyroid is messing around with my hormones
me and my partner have been TTC for about 12 months now with no luck and now it all makes sense.
ill be glad once i start getting medication :smiliedance:
my question is how many other women have this problem and or have fallen pregnant and made it out the other side??
much love
XOXO
I have:)
I had my right side removed about 9 years ago and have gone on to have 2 kids a 30 weeks pregnent with my 3rd. I am hyaving some issues with it ATM though, my levels have dropped and it can cause problems.
M/C is more likly as well if you dont get your levels back up before falling pregnent. I have had 2 M/C.
My advice would be stop TTC till your thyroid is sorted cause it can cause loads of problems if its not right.
Good luck darl.

I have an under active thyroid. We were not TTC but my periods were all over the place. Now that I have been on medication for about 8 months, all my levels are perfect and the doctor said there is no reason now why I shouldn't get pregnant.
I agree with bAaM to stop TTC, my doctor told me not to TTC until the levels were right as I had a 65% chance of a miscarriage, but it didn't matter to us as we were waiting until we got married.
There is an end to it all, I feel great now days, not sleeping 16+ hours a day. I hope everything gets sorted out for you.
I had an underactive thyrois after DS2 and it took me 11 months to fall pregnant with DD. That was a post partum thing though, so probably different.

my mum and i both have Hashimotos an autoimmune disease which causes the thyroid to vary between over active and underactive.
My mums thyroid is completeley non functioning but she is well medicated and has been since her 20's.
We both have PCOS.
She has 6 kids and has had 7 pregnancies.
Thyroxine controls it pretty well i think.
Goodluck !
