AM - Don't feel too bad, I can never tell either if Charli is putting it on or not!

QC -:laughing: Elephants nose!! Thats too cute, they come out with the funniest stuff at this age, lol.

Sabby - What a lovely photo :) I'm glad you got your bed!

Charlotte came running up to me this morning holding her bottom and yelled "Help!! I need to do a dump!!":laughing::laughing: I think I have my brother to thank for that one!! Lucky we were just at mums and not out in public!

We've just had a lovely morning at the playground and then had fish n chips for lunch mmm yummy and greasy! Then we fed our leftovers to the seagulls.

A couple of pics:

CM lovely photos of that big girl of yours!
AM hope Andrew has recovered from his illness. You are right, it is hard sometimes to be able to judge how ill they are, and I suppose as they get older they start "trying it on" a bit.
Genevieve has had a cold, cough and runny nose for days now, and yesterday she added a temperature to the repetoire. So I cracked and took her to the Dr this morning. We had an appointment and still had to wait for nearly two hours, how bad is that? Just as well Dh was with me otherwise I think I would've been in tears. Last night I think I was up every hour to one or the other of my darling children.
Anyway - G just has a cold thank goodness. We are off to Cairns tomorrow morning and I really wanted to make sure she didn't have an ear infection lurking.
Yay for a holiday - I cannot wait. It feels like such a long time since T was born and then dh had to rush off to England and his mum dying - dh said we needed a holiday then, and that was March.
Hope everyone is going well. Take care and I will "see" you when we get back!!

I've had 3 kiddies who have been sick all last week, and it's still going... :dizzy:

Twice, we thought about taking Jake off to hospital once again (he's been admitted twice in his lifetime with croup) but then again, he'll settle with the meds we give him. Although he's not 100%, but it's enough to not make us stress too much...

I'm praying for an uneventful night tonight! During the day, they are all OK, today AJ was back at soccer, Hayden and Jake weren't suffering because we had the warmth of the sun on us while watching AJ play... but nowwwww, we've had a few issues with Jake already. I hope he relaxes enough and there's no hospital visit!

So, we're dealing with illness atm. Hope your kiddies are all OK!!

 Ladies,

Kylie sorry to hear about the boys. :hugs: I hope you have been getting some rest and they have as well.

QC - Hope your having a lovely holiday you lucky duck! We are going away end of july for a few nights, but DH wont "let" me fly and im not bothered to try and change his mind so its prob central coast for us!

Shell, how are ya? How did your GD test come back?

Sabby, how are you feeling? Are you 18weeks yet? Having your scan soon? Are you going to find out?

Nanay, B is so cute!! What a funny thing to say..

Not too much new here. Tantrums have settled down, she has a cold atm so grumpier then usual but becoming better at controlling the emotions which is a god send atm. As for me and the new baby, well I am tired, tired, tired! Have GD again, but apart from that all good!

Hope your all well..:D

A'smum - hope your kiddies are now on the mend.
AZ - tough having GD although i did not have it the lady across from me in the ward had it and she had a tough time with feeding and with the constant checking of the sugar levels...

AFM - for some reason every afternoon when i hear DHs car, i tell Braden that daddy's home he quickly runs beside me like he's running away from something he's afraid off and cries saying no daddy no...hmm..any ideas what this maybe.. but then when DH comes in the door he will take to him almost immediately or up to 5 minutes and they are best friends again. Cant be a good feeling for DH coming home from a hard days work to find that his son does not want him...i just want him to get over it for now.

As for TT..we did good today unexpectedly.. he is still in nappies, but once in the morning he told me he is pooing (his generic word for pee and poo)...and we took off the nappy and he did his wees in the toilet, then before sleep he said it again although this time around he already did it in the nappy and had a few drops in the toilet...The afternoons are the problem though..he doesnt seem to want to go to the toilet in the afternoons..i'm not rushing him i'm gonna wait till the weather is warmer but every little thing counts, we've given up on the rewards, only when he remembers that he is supposed to get something that we give it to him otherwise its a good boy and thank you for telling me sorta thing...

Nanay, thats what I am dreading the 2hrly heal prick for baby! They just get to sleep and then the nurse unwraps them and pricks them and they are up screaming again! It was hell! Although at least I am prepared this time.

Good work with the TT!

Hey Ladies, I know QC from the Feb 09 chat with our 2nd little ones but I thought I might pop my head in here since this is where DD fits in (rather than boring the Feb girls wiht Z's exploits as well as R's.
Hope thats okay:D
DD is TT'ed and we did the rewards only if she asked after the first little while - I used jelly snakes cut into 1cm bits and she got one (or 2) bits for remembering to use the toilet she is pretty good these days and only had the odd accident, we got rid of the night nappys once we got home from Brisbane after R was born so we have mostly avoided the 2 in nappies thing which is better for the bank balance - although DD likes the my little pony knickers so that adds up esp since you need quite a few pairs:yelclap:
Any way I better run R is demanding my attention.

Hi again ladies.

Wow so much to catch up on. I have trouble finding the birth groups thread when I come on here lol.

Andrews mum, sorry the boys are sick. Its just horrible when we cant do anything. DD1 is sick at the moment and its so sad to see.

QC I hope your enjoying your trip away.

Well tomorrow is my birthday! And tomorrow I also get on a plane and leave the girls and DH for 4 nights! I am very nervous. I have only left them for one night before.
I am heading off to Brisbane for a break and to meet OM!

I am going to stay at some weirdo strangers house which is making me feel a bit nervous!
We just decided the other day when she won some tickets to a high tea event so I said bugger it I will come lol.

I hope the girls go alright with out me.
Natalia is turning in to a mummy's girl now as DH is away so often. Which i think when she calls for mummy at night he gets a bit upset, so hopefully this will help!

Seacretsquirrel - Welcome the the thread!!

AngelZara - I'm on 17 weeks today! yay! I'm having my scan in 2 weeks and cant wait! Haven't seen bub since my 9 wks scan. And no we wont be finding out.. DH prefers to be surprise.. but knowing our luck its probably a girl again.. Pity about the GD.

Nanay - Well done B for TT! Chelsea was TT then winter came and she's had too many accidents so I put her back on pull ups when we go out but when at home she's ok and always tells us when she needs to go. She's still on nappies at night time. i think because its cold hard for her to hold her wee's.

AM - hope the boys are better now..

QC - Oh I'm so jealous! YOu are on a holiday AGAIN! that's so good you have a lot of family holidays.. I'm hoping that we go to GC on October for a week staying at Mantra apartments for free. Just have to pay for our tickets. DH doesnt want to book the flights just incase something happen with his work. He doesnt want to leave his work and just want to see how it goes. He realised that its difficult times looking for work at the moment. He likes what he does he just doesnt like the long hours and being into trouble.. Well since his meeting with his boss he has been working long hrs.. leaving home at 6am and not getting home till 4.30sh.. I feel sorry for him and I've told him to find another job but he is not to keen going elsewhere at the moment.. so will just have to wait till maybe Sept then if everything is ok with his work then I guess we can have a holiday before baby # 2 comes out! Yay! :fingerscrossed:

When can you come to sydney? we want to organise to have a meet up on a sat at QC's house when you are over.

08-07-2009, 14:25
Braden is on and off with his TT so i just let him lead..sometimes he tells other times he doesnt so i just take it as he's sorta ready but not yet no pressure..so he is still full time in nappies...
Soo..looks like i might be going back to work one day a week..since i left apparently sh*ts hit the fan with my boss and he quit leaving the department empty (i was only ever on contract so they do no have the legal obligation to keep my job open) and then my boss's boss (who is based in singapore quit as well a few weeks ago so basically the department is up the creek with out a paddle at work and the person covering was not taught properly by my boss... SO HR calls me today and i said its better if i get a set day a week, itd be easier for care of my boys rather than ad hoc. Here i thought she was gonna offer it to me and talk about everything else that is required...well she then tells me that she will have to talk to the new head of the division and with the person covering about the amount of work (well i talked to the person covering and she wants me to do come in today ). First of all shouldnt HR have confirmed with the head of department BEFORE contacting me..that's is just crazy! Oh yeah they need someone in there straight away as its a pharma company and TGA is a sh*t to deal with!!!
DH is okay with it and i think i'd be okay leaving Shaun only one day a week at daycare ... but not more than that as he would be just under 3 months old if i do go back.
ANd then i found out today that DH could have been sent to the Philippines for a couple of weeks for work and his boss sent someone else coz he cant "afford" to send DH away!! DH and I have been wanting to go for sometime now just that things come up (like me being preggos)...i'm so annoyed that he did not get sent I could have been there right now relaxing/shopping with the relos arguing who will take the boys!!

AZ No word on my GD yet

EN Enjoy your trip away!

Sabby Hope you get to go to the GC!

Well, Charlotte is going to be a flower girl in a few weeks :flowerz: She's so excited! I got her dress today, her and her cousin are going to be fairies! I just tried it on her and she looks so beautiful, I wanted to put her on top of a little cupcake, lol. She was tearing around the house flapping her "wings" and then twirling in front of the mirror   I struggled to get it back off her, lol.

Just caught up on a whole lot of chat here!!
Hello!
Yes, we have made it back (reluctantly) from our Tropical Holiday! It was great, gorgeous weather, swimming, exploring and generally lazing around the place. The kids both enjoyed themselves - Genevieve in particular really loved having dh at her beck and call - she loves her Daddy a lot, which is great. When he's around I take a backseat with her, thats for sure. The flight up was probably G's worst-ever, she was up far too early in the morning and carried on all the way, coming home both the kidlets slept for a good chunk of the journey. Made me realise how mad it would've been to take them to England at this age/stage. Though we are going to make that trip again either later in the year, or early next - we need to show Toby off to his English rels!
Anyway, at least it isn't rainy here today, and both the kids are sleeping now, which is just lovely.

Toby is just a laugh, such a contented pudding! Its funny when he does wake up hungry as he can't bring himself to smile when we pick him up - its as though he wants to punish us! Its not like he's howling though, just stern! He likes a good chat, and he also mimics G something fierce - she has taken up screaming (great huh) for attention and the next thing you know he's doing the exact same noise - a real treat eh? We had him in his blue and white striped "singlet" easy suit when we were away and he looked like the Strong Man from the circus, such a chunker with his round and basically bald head!
Apart from the screaming G is a hoot these days. We had a bubble bath this morning and she was telling me it was teamwork! She likes to look out for the moon - at all times of the day or night - in the day its the "daynight moon". She can "read" most of her favourite books, and even recites poems that she loves. It floors me sometimes the stuff she comes out with.
CM what fun for Charli to be a flowergirl - I'm hoping one of dh's friends gets married and asks G to do the honours sometime before she's old enough to be a junior bridesmaid!!
Sabby lovely photos! The bed looks great, and so does Chelsea's! Will there be room for the cot too?
AZ sorry to hear GD has reappeared, what a nuisance. Get your holiday organised!!
EN trust you had a hoot up in Brisbane
OM I know you're lurking - more news from you too please!!

QC - so impressive that G can read books and recites poems.. so nice to hear you had a lovely holiday. It is so nice when DH and our DD's are close.. so nice to see and gives you that space...

Chelsea is so cute and sings you are my sunshine.. I love it!

CM - Baby shower 2.. lucky you! Why not hey if someone else is organising it - it's nice..

Well found out on the weekend that my parents is going o/seas around the time I'm due.. they will be gone for a month.. they will miss Chelsea's bday and probably miss my child birth.. I'm so upset as I need my mom to be there in the labour.. she was like 'oh will be back on the 13/12 so will make it for your due date on the 15th!'.. I was like well chelsea came 2.5 weeks early! And what if this one does the same! :banghead: Its upsetting bec she was there for my other sister for both her labour then when its my turn like its just didnt matter to her....!!!

Well sick with a cold atm but still went to work.. will see if I last.

CharlisMummy

QC Sounds like you had a lovely break  I'm glad the flight home was a bit better, we've only flown with Charli once at 10 months and she slept there and back. I can't imagine a flight to England with her   she can't even sit still to eat dinner!

Sabby Thats a shame about your mum :( I know I'd be upset if mine wasn't there and she doesn't even come in ("oh god, I don't have to come in with you do I??" lol) Hope your cold isn't a bad one, I've got one too. Very draining on top of being pg!

Charli and I had to gatecrash DH's doctors apt last night, lol. She was screaming with a sore tummy all Sunday night, then seemed ok yesterday morning and slept the rest of the day but woke screaming again. Lucky Dh was already going to the docs otherwise it would have been a long night in emergency I imagine. Had to sign her up to his Doc though as we go to a different surgery! She's a lot better today though, he said it may have been a bit of gastro and just keep up the panadol and water. She's raking mums front lawn at the moment and helping stack firewood

SabbyMaybe your Mum is psychic and this baby will be two weeks late like Miss G! I know it must just feel awful, but she must think that you are a very capable woman - which you are!!
CM I do hope little Charli is feeling a lot better.

AFU yesterday G was the devil incarnate, and today she was back to her sweet self, we were off to the gym together, then it was nail polish etc in the garden before lunch, then she took herself off to bed when I was putting T in his cot - I read her a quick story and she came out two hours later!!
We've just come in from dinner in Chinatown which was lovely!

Hey Ladies!
QC - I finally found my way here!!!
It sounds like everyones LO's are a blast!

Z is a crack up she amazes me sometimes with the stuff she comes out with. She has a few stories that she can "read" well she can repeat the repetitive lines in a heap and as she is obsessed with Peepo she can do every 2nd line!
anyhoo my tune is being sung so I better go!

Sabby lovely photos! The bed looks great, and so does Chelsea's! Will there be room for the cot too?

YEs there's room for the cot but no I want the baby to be on its own room... baby will wake Chelsea up too much and wont be nice to have her grumpy and me with lack of sleep..

CM - hope charli is better now.. DH is home today with food poisoning - must be the 4 day old chinese honey chicken he insisted of eating it last night... oh well that will teach him a lesson.

Well every wed alvo after work Chelsea and I go pass my parents house for a quick visit.. but I was still upset at the fact she may not be there in my labour so I decided to text her and tell her I was too sick and we wont be coming for weekly visit (I was feeling better but was still piffed off). So she text me back saying that she and dad will just come over to visit after dinner. :hair: Oh well so they did by 7pm but you know had to keep the peace and I dont really like taking Chelsea's time away from them when I have the issue with my mom... QC - I know what you mean that she must think I'm capable of coping without her but emotionally it would have been nice for her to be there again and knowing that she cares more being there for me than being overseas for someone else' wedding. Maybe I should tell her the I will have my MIL in there instead to be spiteful to her! LOL!!!

CharlisMummy
16-07-2009, 12:25
QC My devil child took an extra day to return to normal! I ended up in tears of frustration and she folded her arms and said "Go on, cry then!" What a little b... You're so lucky G still has a day sleep, and to just take herself off to bed, I'm jealous!

Sabby I had to laugh about your DH and his old chicken! I do hope he is feeling better though! Did you tell your mum that your MIL would be with you instead? lol

Charli is feeling much better now, thankgoodness but gosh its a struggle to get medicine into her!!!

I've decided to get some maternity photography done :D with DH and Charli in them too. Not sure if I'm game enough to get down to my knickers though! I really like those ones though. I'll psych myself up!

Sabby rest assured that your new baby won't wake up Chelsea - plus my dear, cast your mind back to overnight feeds - you need that baby in your room! I would die if we had to go any further to pick up Mr T for his feeds, and he has them in bed with me, I aint sitting up for anyone at 3am!!
On the subject of Mr T, I went to the drop-in at the clinic this morning and he is going just fine, just wanted to get him weighed and measured (7.5kg and 66cm at 4 months and a bit). Also wanted to find out about cutting out the midnight/midmorning buffet service - and cold turkey and the dummy is it it seems. So when we are feeling brave thats going to be that! He is big enough without needing another feed in the middle of the night.
Genevieve took herself off for her afternoon nap again today - go figure? She is chattering away with dh in the lounge room playing shops I think, just 'selling Daddy a few things, busy in my shop!" - oh yeah, standing up on the back of the lounge!! We had friends over this afternoon so she is pretty tired now, and T is in bed already.

We have a girl!!! Life's going to get VERY interesting...

Her name's Abby (http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/andrewsmum_2006/01072009131.jpg)

She is a 10 week old Beagle and so much a part of our family  It's been an interesting 2 weeks, since we picked her up from the breeder. Sometimes it feels like yet another toddler the same age as Hayden and Jake (toilet training, LOL)... Oh and she loves to dig/eat grass http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/andrewsmum_2006/100_0354.jpg

Andrew loves to pick her up and carry her around LOL... He's always asking if she could come inside to play - and I was the mean mummy, making him change out of his school uniform so he could go play with Abby (http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/andrewsmum_2006/100_0350.jpg)

And finally, our run of flu/cold illnesses seems to be coming to an end, DH got it last and seems to be getting over it now :smiliedance:

AM what a gorgeous puppy!! You must all be having a lot of fun!
CM forgot to tell you how funny yet b----- of your daughter to make that comment. I would die if G came out with something like that.
Everything is fine here, we've had a busy weekend running around. Went down to the Royal National Park today for lunch - it was impromptu as we'd had a flat battery and were told to go for a drive! It was beautiful down there, such a gorgeous day for mid-winter I have to say.
Toby is surviving well without his midnight to dawn buffet service, and I am feeling a bit more rested - which is the point eh?
Genevieve is hilarious - she has been singing the Alphabet Song her own way around which is just so gorgeous to listen to. I am sure she is going to have a career in retail, she is always "selling" things whereever she is, in the house or the car or anywhere else for that matter! She seems to have shifted the Devil Girl that was lurking early in the week, just as well as I was tearing my hair out trying to work out some coping strategies.
Hope all is going well with all of you!

OM are your homestayers Chinese?? I know that there it is seen as completely normal for your children to live with their paternal grandparents in a different part of the country, and basically only see their parents twice a year. Friends of our here who are chinese were thinking about sending their children back for a few years - just a different mindset. I think I would die though if my kids were somewhere else, even if it wasn't far away. Keep us posted as to how the visitors go! I bet they'll have a great time at your place!! BTW - did your sister get married earlier this year, if so how did the Bridesmaid Experience go??
Sabby pleased to hear you had a lovely weekend. Hope the scan goes well, though I'm sure we'll see you in here before then!
Both my little ones are still sleeping - I thought G was going to buck it today, but it seems she is really asleep. We went for a walk down to the station with Dh, G loves looking at the trains coming and going, then we had a good play in the park at the end of our street. So worthwhile getting out of the house!

Sabby
23-07-2009, 10:25
QC - yeah a little walk in the park is so worthwhile.. breaks the daily routine.. Cant wait to do that when I'm on maternity leave. Looking forward spending more time with Chelsea again, rather than me being at work and her at a carer.

Went to Target midnight toy sale last night.. I went to bed at 2am but probably awake for an hr.. It was so good to get everything. It was funny and crazy with like 400 ppl there! So relieved though that all my xmas kids shopping is done - only adults to go.. might just give movie vouchers to the adults this yr. Bought Chelsea pretty much all Dora stuff.. drum set, laptop, scooter, musical band set.. yep Dora dora dora.. Some of the gifts are for her bday and rest for xmas fr santa and mom & dad.

Oh yes got Chelsea off the bottle and formula.. she's now drinking fresh milk!! Finally!! She drinks it though with a little bit of milo.. She say's "I'm a big girl now.. no more bot bot.. thats only for baby".. Awww.. brings tears to my house that she is getting big now.. no longer my baby..

The students are Korean and wow the way they live must be sooo different to here. One of the kids speaks really really minimal english the other is pretty good so has to translate alot to the other boy. The one who's english isn't good also is a bit of a hypocondriac I think. When he arrived he said he had a bean allergy, we then discovered it was only a dislike, now he says he has a milk allergy but eats cheese and drank chocolate milk???? And he will also not touch any vegetables at all - I mean NONE, not even peas and corn!!!! Oh and today he tells me he has a cat allergy lol - he's been here for a week with no symptoms or anything but this morning he sneezed so blamed the cat lol!!! Funny thing is my cat is a devon rex so in most cases ppl with allergies are fine with that breed. I don't think he's a bad kid, I just think it must be his up bringing and a child can't help that. The teacher even wished me good luck with that one (referring to him) but hey I am always up for a challenge. My mum always threatens my brother to come and live with me instead of her when he is being naughty and it always makes him smarten up lol - I am a bit of a strict parent lol:o:p

My sisters wedding is December coming. And omg the bridesmaid dress is just hideous!!! It's a flower print dress - ewwww. Bright orange dinner plate size pansy's print!!! Seriously I don't even think Elle McPherson could look good in that print, it's disgusting. I am considering putting in some green hair extensions and a bright orange fake tan and just rocking up as a pumpkin to the wedding lmao.

Went to Target midnight toy sale last night.. I went to bed at 2am but probably awake for an hr.. It was so good to get everything. It was funny and crazy with like 400 ppl there!

400 ppl OMG! I had a great time at the toy sale, didn't buy much but there was a guy that works at Target standing at the toy section when I walked in and I thought I would just ask him where the items where that I wanted. He then led me to one of the items and pointed to the others. Whilst I was still standing at the first item he came back with the other items I was after and handed them to me! Now that is fantastic customer service!!!

And now for the exciting news!!!:yelclap:

Do you remember that last year I was an egg donor to a lovely lady in NZ??? Well I am pleased to announce that in the wee hours of this morning she had a bouncing baby boy!!!!

He's a little early but apparantly mum and bub are both healthy. I am sooo excited for her (and her DP too) that I am literally bouncing off the walls!:goodvibes:

Oh OM I was hoping that would be the exciting news!! How wonderful to be able to help another woman in that way, no wonder you are bouncing off the walls!
Sounds like you have a bit of a challenge on your hands with Mr K II, though Mr K I sounds okay. What a PITA some kids can be, but you are right, if their parents let them get away with it then they probably think its fine. Too funny about sneezing once and blaming the cat. I'm sure you will have him under the thumb by the time they go home!
Goodness, you are right, the bridesmaids fabric sounds a little full-on, not much re-wear value in a number like that!
Well, it seems the UTI lurgy is still lurking here. I cracked and went to the Doc today, and am on a course of superstrong yet acceptable for bf-ing antibiotics. I hope they work better than the last course I took. I also hope that little To has no reaction to the additive in his milk. Oh well, I have a script for stuff for him if he does get oral thrush. He's pretty resiliant though I think!
Genevieve is just fine. I realised the other day when she didn't have a run in the park that it is essential to her having an afternoon nap. Plus she has so much fun down there! Whilst I was at the Doc's today dh put the child seat on the back of his bike, apparently they were riding around the back yard much to Toby's amusement! I think tomorrow we have to get her a helmet so they can go out properly! T and I will just have to stroll/ drive or stay home though til he gets a bit older and we get a seat on my bike for him!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Had my 19 wks u/s last friday and all organs etc are fine.. Babies heartbeat was 156bpm. Measuring at 18wks and 1 day. So saying my bub is due 24/12!!!! We told the sonogapher we dont want to find out the sex and she said thats ok she wont look at that area. Through out the whole scan my DH just kept saying 'oh I think its a girl' but the sonographer wouldnt budge. Then she said at the end that baby kept showing baby's bits. So then DH and I just looked at each other and asked each other if we want to find out.. for one stage DH nearly said yes.. then I asked the sonographer how sure is she.. then she said 100%!! So I guess we were then eager to find out but still wasnt sure. Then she suggested that she'll write the sex on a paper and place it on an envelope, when we want to find out then we'll just open it then... So now we have this envelope that will tell us but we haven't open it. DH said that if we still want to find out we can open the envelope on my bday next month! So I guess thats the exciting part of the scan.

But yes there's a BIG but. She found a cysts on the baby's brain. It's called bilateral choroid plexus cysts which measures 5.3mm. She said its common and nothing to worry about and will dissapear at 26wks.. so I will need to have another scan at 30 wks.. I have been doing alot of research about it and I'm so scared and very worried sick.. I have been crying the thought that something could be wrong with my baby. There was no other abonomalities detected. I am praying that the cysts goes away...:(

I am trying to stay positive about it but its really hard. Its going to be a hard 10 wks wait till next scan to see if it dissapears... :(

That's sooo sad Sabby, I pray your bubs is OK... Try not to stress - the next 10 weeks will go fast!! Just enjoy those kicks (are you getting them yet?) and watch that growing bump and be reassured that all else is growing normally etc...

I also think it's gonna be a boy :detective: Who else flashes their bits at the sonographer??

What do you think?? :flowerz:

Thanks everyone with the kind words.. I'm trying to be back to being happy and enjoying the pregnancy as I need to be positive for baby.. It wont be good to baby if I'm sad.... I'm gonna love baby no matter what... So happy thoughts from now now.. Thanks again all!

Well I'm not sure AM... I do hope its a boy but also wouldn't mind a girl so a bestfriend for Chelsea..

Might soon find out next month if DH agrees to open the envelope.. I do want to find out now to have that extra bond with baby but also don't mind if we just have the surprise..

What does everyone think - boy or girl? If she also said that baby wee'd few times during the scan.. and she's 100%!

Sabby so funny now you want to guess whats in the envelope!!! Wait it out, the surprise at the end is just lovely!! Find out, then you and Dh can start arguing about names properly!!! I don't know about the extra bond thing, I don't think the bond can get any stronger between a mother and her baby than that precise relationship. Just my thoughts though, not having found out early with either of my babies.
AZnow on the subject of smug pregnants - what are you having? I do recall a certain pg woman being very excited about a scan coming up ages ago now!!
My Fairy Ballerina and her little brother are still napping off their jaunt down to dance class. G decided that she had to cry (loudly) and sit on my lap for most of the lesson but she did enjoy the bits she did join in on. Toby was out in the waiting room being passed around the other mothers, being very calm and well mannered about it all from all reports!
Oh, we got our acceptance letter from Genevieve's preschool today!! She will be there 2 days a week

Sabby - I hope the cysts eventuate into nothing for your little boy bubba ( lol yep I am guessing it's a boy) ;) The envelope idea is a great idea, I did that when I was pregnant with Oscar as DH couldn't be at the scan and I wanted him to share in the excitement with me lol.

OM - Congrats by the way with your ED lady!! That such exciting news and such a great feeling for you. To help someone bring a life in this world!

QC - YAY G getting in to preschool! I do understand what you mean about the extra bond.. maybe I was practising what to say to DH to convince him to open the envelope! Hehehehe! I would just like to know so I can buy the right colour of muslin wrap, clothes and we can decorate the nursery blue or more girlish.. I dont know most of the times I would like to know (maybe its more the impatient side of me) then other times I want to keep the excitement of the surprise when bub comes out... will see hey!

AZ - Oh yes so what are you having??? Or is it one of those where you know but not allowed to tell anyone?

Well have my Dr's hospital appointment this alvo.. :fingerscrossed: the Dr will assure me that I've got nothing to stress about just like what my family Dr told me last monday alvo. I also hope Dr lets me have midwife's visits than hosp/dr visits. Because with midwife's visit I can make appointments on weekends, I feel bad when I have to leave work early.

AZ oh I love your attitude towards the sex of your bub-on-the-way!! I know what you mean about people getting it wrong with the scans though.
Sabby don't worry about what colour to decorate the nursery!! I have to say though, boys clothes are nowhere near as cute or as varied as girls - and some of the "boy colours" out there are awful. Just as well Tobias is gorgeous and can outshine this issue!! Plus we have some really nice clothes for him of course!
Yes, we are pleased that G has got into the little preschool down the road! I rang them up today to confirm our place at a little session they are having in September and it was nice to have a chat with the director.
I took both the kids to playgroup this morning and they both enjoyed themselves. I was pleased!! We've only been one other time this year and even when we were going often at the end of last year G would spend ages on my knee. Today she just ran off to play - such a relief really.

AZ - Congrats with the girl! Did they say how many % sure they are??? lets just see hey maybe wrong.

QC - So good that our little ones are more independant!

Well had the Hosp dr appointment yday and Dr was not concern about the cysts on bub's brain, she wasn't even recommending to get a scan in 10 wks as she is so sure that it will be gone but I will persist on getting another scan for reassuration that the cysts are gone. In the bad point I cant get the all clearance to just have midwife's visits. I have to see the endocronolist on tuesday! If I get the all clear then I can have midwife's visit fr then on.. I hate dr visits in the hosp, takes forever to find parking then you have to wait like almost 2 hrs to see the dr!!

Bright side I'm getting my brand new HP laptop delivered later!! I'm so excited!! I have a new toy!! That means more time to be on the net rather than being on the pc and stuck in the room.. I hardly go on the net when I'm at home due to this..

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Sabby - yay for the new laptop!
Can I tell you all something that is way too funny? Genevieve has progressed from asking Where are the boys? when we go past the local football fields (oh and by the way she thinks soccer, or any football for that matter is tennis) to chasing boys!! Yesterday it was a boy at playgroup she's known all her life, and today it was a random toddler boy in a park we've never been to before. Kind of funny, but today the two of them took off at a great pace way up this park, I had to leave Toby with a random mum and run after them - luckily the dad of the boy caught up with them before I did!! It seemed to have tuckered her out completely though, she's been asleep for over 2 hours already!

QC - Yay for G getting into preschool! She sounds so much like Charli with the boys, we have 2 boys next door and she always stands at the window and yells out "boys!! boys!! where are you?" (they're 15 and 9 mind you, lol)

OM - Thats fantastic news about the ED! What an amaing thing to do for someone :flowerz:

Well, Charlotte was a flower girl on the weekend :bee: she was soooo adorable in her fairy costume, everyone kept coming up to us saying "oh is the pink fairy yours? shes so cute!" lol. She walked down the aisle with my SIL and then sat with me and the whole time kept asking "is it time to dance yet?? time to dance?" I kept trying to shhhh her and everyone around us was giggling at her, so cheeky!! I will post some pics, just trying to upload them and its taking a while (you can imagine how many this proud mummy took, lol)

We also painted bubs room on the weekend. Charlotte was a very good "helper" painting it "blue for boys". Now to put all the furniture back up!

CM I love the photos!!
I hope you don't (a) have diabetes again or (b) push out a toddler sized baby. I've found that ultrasounds aren't really a good estimate of my babies size - with both of them they were saying I was having a big baby - and both the bubs came out on the 50th percentile, which is big enough if you ask me!
Sabby you are right, G is a bit of a worry with her boy chasing antics!!
She is such a sweet child - when she isn't being possessed by the devil! Today at the park she was sidling up to other kids and saying things like "I like that beautiful star on your trousers, so sparkly". Luckily its water off a ducks back for her when these kids then basically ignore her, she just moves to the beat of her own drum, like all other toddlers!! She is off with her cousins again this afternoon and I'm sure they're having a riot over at their place. T and I are enjoying the peace and quiet!!

CM lovely photos especially love the one with the bouquets

As for chasing the opposite sex, Braden's got that down pat...a friend of a friend has 2 girls they are like 5 and 9 or something and everytime braden sees them he wants to chase them around constantly...but they are good with him, they humour him. Even at playgroup he tends to want to play with the girls more than the boys...

Well got braden's acceptance letter to kindy last week so i figured i better get a move on TT'ing him. Started yesterday afternoon only putting nappies on sleeps ... yesterday was like 3 accidents...so far today only 1 and i knew he was due to go but did not want to push him when he says no. He has actually told me a grand total of twice when he needed to go and went to toilet himself...

I'm pretty sure he'll get the hang of it soonish..he's been doing some stuff in the toilet sometimes he's even pushing hard for either one to come out.

I can't face the tt (again) yet. I think I'll wait til the weather warms up a bit more and G can run around pants-free. But it has to be done by the end of January I suppose with preschool looming. I'm hoping she decides to do it herself soon - she hates getting her nappy changed with a vengeance. She also has a thing about all the paraphenalia that goes with the little toilet seat ie loves it, so I've told her she has to use her potty seat properly for a full week then she can use the toilet. I just want her to be able to go by herself so the potty seat is perfect.
I know for some of you this all happened a while ago - we started before T came but I gave up!!

Hope everyone is well!
OM any photos yet of the new bub to share?

Sounds like me Mary...I wanted to do it again when the weather is warmer but thought i would start it now so he hopefully will be well on his way at least when kindy starts. We also started before Shaun is born actually at about 39weeks (i know crazy)..even the mchn said that he will go back because of the big change.. and he did...but for today only one big accident so happy with that.. another day in the house for us tomorrow..i've resolved that we will not go out of the house until he is mostly TT'ed apart from activities he has weekly...DH thinks this is ridiculous as kids need fresh air but i told him i would take them out to the yard to play if its warm...

Gosh, we had a busy day today. I even had a nap when both the kids were down this afternoon! This morning I took G for her first haircut with the two neighbourhood cousins - so it was a bit of a three ring circus but she did get a trim and looks even cuter for it. I doubt that T will need a cut before he's two and a half either! After that little trauma we came home for half an hour then charged out the door with the kids in the p&t to playgroup. After G not sleeping last thurs I decided to stop in the park on the way home as sleep is guaranteed after that.
It is amazing how G can switch from the devil-child screaming, kicking and crying because we got the wrong cupcake (go figure) to my sweet little girl who gives me a hug and asks how I am feeling, and whether I need a tissue (when I was in tears again - this time of happiness with how delightful she can be). Ah, 2 - thank goodness they get older!!
Toby had a great old time at playgroup, there's one other bub that is the same age so they were laying down on their rugs next to each other gurgling away in a very contented second baby fashion!
I am using our new-to-us mac laptop and it is much swisher than my old one, all white and new(ish) and shiny. Bit sad really to think we got it for my dearly departed m-i-l so they could skype with us - but they did use it, which really was a miracle when you think neither of them had even ever typed before!

Well ladies..I think we have TT success in this house (well for the awake times anyways, still too chicken to do nights until i buy a mattress protector thing that goes on top of the sheets) .. After a week he has not had any "accidents" in the last couple of days even left him at day care today to go to an interview and they told me he went twice...
DH and i have decided that I should start looking for a job now as it takes about 2-3 months to get a good one and just happened that this job was posted and was too good to pass up. Hopefully I get it as it is with what looks like a good international company with great career development prospects.
Shaun's just been his usual contented self. Giggles and baby talks all the time as well as smiling away. They loved him at the day care they said he was very contented.

Well the drama in my life is never ending! My nan had a sudden terminal cancer diagnosis last week, so we are all dealing with the shock at the moment. She has been such a wonderful support for us since mum died so it makes it that much harder. I just hope she doesn't suffer for long.
Apart from that all is well with us!

CM - I agree with QC. Growth scans are always wrong!!

Nanay - congrats on the preschool!

Ugghh...TT!! We do it, but on and off and omg, what a hassle it is! I need to just not buy nappies. But now we are up and down the coast seeing Nan, I really don't think Z will be fulltime trained before the baby arrives. Which is OK.

Nanay you are inspiring me to bite the bullet and start G back on the tt game. Soon soon I'm sure!!
I think if we spent a bit more time at home I'd get around to it sooner, but I have filled up the week with various activities and I can't stand the thought of carrying a potty around, or taking both the kids into the various scuzzy public toilets around here. Excuses excuses!
We are fine. G had her swimming lesson this evening and boy is she bucking the system there at the moment - for a child who has been going since she was 6 months old its pretty disgusting behaviour. After the lesson we go into the other pool and she is all sunshine and light and super-water-confident. I'm hoping she grows out of this little stage quick smart.

I actually only spent 2 days at home with him full time..the other days we would have a walk or something i'd put him in a nappy but he seemed to have picked it up...as for scuzzy toilets you can buy a portable potty thing that folds up called a pottete with plastic liners as well i bought Braden a cushie tushie fold up seat its just a thing you put on top of regular toilet seat so they dont fall in.

AZ if i were you I'd do it after like I did. We started the TT process before Shaun was born and I thought we had made progress with him but when Shaun was born he slowly reverted back to nappies and not telling us. AZ - sorry to hear about your nan, hopefully she'll hang on to see your bubs :hugs: Congrats on your maybe girl baby - lucky because I know you got a pink pram!! You don't have long to go! Are you all set? Bag packed, cot ready etc...

Nanay - good luck with the job, sounds like it has good prospects so I wish you all the best. Oh, glad TT is going well for you, my boys use the toilet once a day before their baths but I'm not game to do a whole day yet! Believe me I've tried a few times and it's always just too hard but yeah I'm another one waiting for the weather to get warmer to take TT seriously. Nanay, just get the day times sorted, and leave night time TT for a bit later!! Ask him one night if he wants to wear undies or nappies and be prepared to do a bed change if he chooses to wear his undies!!

QC - you always make me laugh when you tell us of G's antics!! Pity about the swimming lesson - Hayden and Jake have been going for about 2months now, and Hayden cries all lesson!! Jake loves every minute and keeps telling Hayden to 'shhhh'. Today we had a different instructor and for the first time, Hayden actually stopped crying and enjoyed himself! I've temporarily switched their lessons from Thursdays to Wednesdays, may make it permanent if Hayden continues to enjoy it and improve.

CM - Good luck with the GTT, I hope you don't have GD this time around! I actually thought your bub was normal weight for it's gestation? Yeah, sometimes ultrasounds get it wrong but if it's done properly they can be pretty accurate with weight estimations. They correctly estimated my boys weights the day they were born! Your little princess sounds sooo cute, I'm glad you had a good day at your cousin's wedding!!

Well - I'm a little ashamed to say this, but I'm doing a parenting course. :o I would have thought I'd have this parenting thing down pat by now! I need to learn some discipline techniques because H&J certainly challenge and push my buttons and all I feel like I do these days is shout at them continuously. Out of all my boys Hayden's the one who challenges me the most. I just feel like I'm not coping some days.

Our pup is growing heaps, she keeps me on my toes!! I get enough of that from my boys LOL. She's definitely going through the puppy (toddler) stage! Poor G cops it from me sometimes and I always feel so dreadful, she is such a sweet little duffer overall. She must wonder what gets into me.
You are right, she is a hoot! Yesterday we made cupcakes (and I didn't eat one, how is that?? weightwatcher must be getting to me!!) and she took some over to her cousins "Oh" she said "Daddy will be surprised when he sees these!" that and "Grandma will be so proud of me" have been the classics lately. Its still all hair and nail polish around here, or as she calls it "poe tolish" - how can you correct something as funny as that!!
Hope you're all doing fine!

Good luck to everyone doing TT.. I'm same with CM - not game enough to do night TT yet.. even though she hates wearing nappies to sleep at night, at times it's dry but most of the times its wet. So will try before bub#2 comes for TT her at night sleep. Otherwise its good as only need nappies for night and saves heaps on buying it. I do get her to wear pull ups if we go out somewhere like the shops as I dont like using the public toilets. Otherwsie she is wearing her undies throughout the day even during her day naps.

QC- i know how you feel about having a new laptop - i love mine.. but kinda feeling guilty as it does take my time away being with Chelsea as I'm on the net more often than I used to be. Also my C is like your G - loves making cupcakes.. so cute how much she enjoys it.. more eating the left overs of the choc cake mix on the spatula and mixing bowl.

AM - Wow your pup has grown heaps.. and don't be ashamed about taking parental classes.. my best friend did it and her son was 4 yrs old and she said it has helped her and her DH. I feel guilty when I yell at C for being naughty but I know its because I'm tired fr work and just taking it out on her..

CM - Enjoy your family maternity potraits session, it's gonna be fun. BTW nice pics of the wedding, Charli looks so cute! I've booked our family potraits at end of jan next yr, so bub#2 will be hopefully 6 weeks then. I'm excited bec we can have a fam pic done and get a big canvas done for our main wall..

Nanay - goodluck with the job haunting..

AZ - I'm sorry to hear about your nan :hugs:
No we haven't open the envelope.. we might on 24/8 - my bday. So will see then.

We have decided that this will be our last bub and we wont try for another 3rd. Mostly because of medical reason for me as my tumor keeps growing when I'm pregnant and I'm not on my medication. So wether this bub is a girl we wouldnt try for a 3rd for a boy.. so my work friend point out that since we experienced not knowing the sex with Chelsea, then would be nice to experience what it's like knowing.. so will see.. still not sure. Up to DH all up.

AM - You're puppy is so cute!! Goodluck with the parenting course, I wouldn't mind learning some discipline techniques either, I feel awful when I have to yell at her especially when she says "I'm so sorry *sob* I need a cuddle from our baby *sob" :(

QC - I love how G speaks, so cute! Sometimes Charli comes off as a real yobbo, lol. Although when I came back from the GTT with patches on both my arms she said "oh mummy what happened to you!"

Sabby - I didn't realise you had a tumor, is it serious?? This is def our last bub too  I like knowing the sex this time around, it was wonderful to have the surprise with Charli but I'm enjoying being able to do a blue nursery etc before he arrives!

We're having family portraits done after he arrives too, I won a photo package at a baby expo, I even get my hair and makeup done which is great because my makeup collection consists of mascara and vasaline!:laughing:

I booked tickets to The Fairies concert today in Newcastle :D It's her new fav show and she's so excited! I'll have a pretty fresh newborn to take along too though!!

CM I love some of the Charli comments you have facebooked - does she still yell out about the holden dealership? The thing that is really funny about G is her "English" pronounciation of some words - dance for instance! I can fairly give dh the credit for that, and her (general) super-politeness, I'm the one with the guttermouth around here!
Sabby I do remember something about your tumour from when we were all pg way back then. I hope your general health isn't too adversely affected with this pg. I bet you are having a boy by the way, its the year for it!!
Ah, family portraits! What fun that would be - and it reminds me that the dad from our mother's group owes me some, he is a professional photographer! They wont be the complete glamour number but he does take great photos! Must get on to that.
I feel as though I really should get on with this TT malarky but on my care-scale its just a bit too low still. I'm hoping she takes after her eldest girl-cous who took a week to have it all down pat when she was about 2yrs 9 months.
We had a lovely day today. G had a ball at playgroup, and was behaving herself so well that I even ventured into the shops with them both in the pram. Everyone loves it when they realise that Toby is in the lower "deck" of the phil and ted! I do get a lot of comments! We stopped at the park and playground on the way home and another little friend from playgroup arrived so the girls had a great old time together. G was so exhausted when we got home that she slept for 4 hours - a record for her. She does have a cold as well, but even so I was wondering if she was going to wake up at all!

Yey!! I just a received a call from the agency that i was offered the job (on contract with a view to permanency!) ... Only thing is I have to confirm with them that its okay to take a week off in october to go to NZ for FIL's wedding..that should be okay right?
Now looking for child care for the boys and man its hard its mostly booked close to the place!! Had one lucky break where its the last two spots..
A bit nervous leaving Shaun at 4 months old but with the economy right now and DH's job in doubt at the beginning of the year its just a sacrifice we have to make i guess..i just think of it as a necessary evil and that some parents dont even get that long with their babies some put them in at 6 weeks...

I didn't realise you had a tumor, is it serious??

Its in my pituitary gland which is not a good place to have it but it was really tiny when I found out about it when we we're TTC with Chelsea. But since then it has grown and keeps growing if I'm not on my meds. So basically I have to be on my meds for the rest of my life, otherwise it gets too big I will have to have a surgery as it causes blindness and severe headaches.

Nanay - Congrats with the new job!! I'm pretty sure they will let you, but make sure you let them know asap. I've got a feeling they wont be happy about it but hey what can they do, it's pre-planned.

QC - hope G's cold has cleared up. Weather is so good this weekend! Loved it.

CM - wow getting glam up for the pic's and the beauty about it you dont have to pay for it. Our family pic's wont be glamour ones.. I just have to do my makeup myself (if I get time having 2 kids by then )

Well 1 week to go till my bday and our MAYBE day to open the envelope. DH wont budge though and still giving me the impression that we wont open it.. I just want to be more prepared this time just incase its a boy at least can start buying outfits as per colour rather than normal white, yellow or green.. :fingerscrossed:He'll let us open the envelope.

Can't wait for the weekend to celebrate my bday. Going to powerhouse museum to take Chelsea on sat and then stay overnight at citigate hotel (with Cheslea - twin queen beds - hehehe!) then next day take her to Luna Park. I don't know if its my bday or hers hey! Sunday is funday with public transport that its only $2.50 for bus, train and ferries. So good.. so looking forward for a fun weekend!

Lovely photos Sabby what a good looking family you have - both your own and your sisters!
Sounds like you have a good weekend planned out, what fun to have a night in the city and a couple of days running around the town with your dh and dd!
Nanay I hope the new job is really good, and that childcare works out well for both your boys and your good self.
Everything is fine with us, we had a busy weekend. Today I was meant to take G in to her swimming lesson, and I ran around getting both kids ready to go, got into the car and the blasted thing wouldn't start. By chance my parents pulled up at the point that I was in hysterics on the phone to dh (with G in the back saying "Its ok Mumma") - but a jump start didn't do the job either. So I got the kids out, rang the nrma battery service and we now have a new battery - I really want to get a new car!! If Dh would just agree I'd get one tomorrow, and he isn't the one who uses the car during the week. Won't be long and he'll crack too.

Well nan died on monday. Funeral was yesterday, so today is a new day! I am still feeling very emotionally exhausted but I will live. Hoping the baby doesnt decide to make an enterance in the next few days. I need to do so much housework and find some time to be by myself as well! And as I say that, I get a massive roll and stab to my (you know where).. Thanks baby, I know your there.

Sabby, your photos look great! I love the family resemblance.

Nanay, the new job sounds exciting! Hope you find some care for the boys.

QC, sorry to hear about your car troubles! I hope dh comes on board soon and gets a new car. Its distressing not having reliabilty with the car!

Charlis, how is your going? Did you get your GD results back?

AZ oh, its a hard time you're going through. Take care of yourself - that housework can wait! I hope you do get some time to yourself - you need it.
Kirst85 Welcome to our little thread!!
CM I'm actually sorry to hear that Charli is no longer enthused at the prospect of getting married at the local Holden dealership! I'm glad that your GD is under control, and that you can see the light at the end of the throwing up!

Well, we got the car serviced yesterday - and I believe it is, of course, a marked improvement. Still waiting for the "green light" for the new car - I know I'll have it before the end of september - we are heading up the coast for a holiday!! I think dh is just a little too busy with work to think logically about it at the moment!
We are fine here. G is still so lovely, and the tantrums still come but I think I'm getting better at dealing with her. She is still loving her afternoon nap - and today she told me that she was going to bed, which she promptly did! Actually her day sleeps are much easier than getting her to bed at night. Toby is just a delight - he's at that moving backwards stage, and it is really funny to watch as he gets as frustrated as all get out. I am plodding along - nothing much to report really!
Hope you're all doing well, and have lovely weekends planned!!

Hi all!

All these pregnant mummies, its making my clucky as usual. But I am not ready to have another baby just yet.
By the time Elora was the age of our dec bubs, Natalia was here. Feels like forever ago. Gorgeous age gap.

Well Natalia decided to toilet train a little while ago, it was a bit too easy?

I got to catch up with Angelzara just over a week ago, you should see how gorgeous she is looking. Her belly is just lovey. And even with no sleep and the stress of her Nan she was still looking awesome.
I miss living near you AZ .

Anymore DEC06 Sydney meets coming up?

EandN - Oh when ever you plan to come we'll have a get together.. just let us know when you want to come down.

Well I'm 32 today. Had a fab weekend! So much walking being at the city. Checked in hotel, then walked to Powerhouse museum, stayed there for 2 hrs - Chelsea had so much fun, then we walked to Darling Harbour - gees with this belly and no form of excercise I was buggerred when we walked back to the hotel. Rested for an hr then we went and ate dinenr at China town. Next day caught train fr central to circular quay then ferry to Luna Park.. Oh did Chelsea just have a blast!! It was such a good weekend but I'm paying for it now.. I'm tired and have a minor headache - need to go back to sleep.. oh well!

Here's my latest pic's:

Sabby - great pics!! You surely had a good weekend - and before I forget
Happy Birthday to You!!
Get walking Mrs, so you have some endurance built up for labour!! Its hard I know, but you will thank yourself in the long run!!

E&N good to see you here again. When can you come down?? I've already volunteered my place for the Sydney and Surrounds meet-up.
This coming weekend we're pretty busy, then the following Sunday is Father's Day but we're free on the Sat. We are having a little party for Toby on the 13th in the afternoon - you are all welcome to come along to join in the organised chaos!!
Everything is fine here. Both the littlies are sleeping. G told me she wasn't going to, after she'd spent the morning on the couch with her dummy, pillow and blanket - but a good cry did the trick it seems as it has been all quiet from her room for two hours. We are off to swimming this afternoon so I should get everything organised now eh?
Hope you're all doing well!

Sabby Love the pics! Especially the first one on the bed :D We've taken Charli to Powerhouse, she loved wearing the little helmet and vest, lol.

QC I'm so jealous that G still has a nap! I'll miss being able to 'sleep when the baby sleeps' with this one, lol.

EN :wave:Nice to see you around still.

Are everyone else's little one's full of questions?? It's never ending around here! The other night as I was putting her to bed I got "Tell me about sugar cane, Where does rice come from? Where do banana's come from? Where does pineapple come from? Tell me about Wattle, Where do potatoes come from?" She was most horrified to discover potatoes come from the ground, lol.
When I told her I didn't know where vegemite came from and to ask Daddy she ran upstairs then a few minutes later yelled down "It comes from the shop Mummy!!" Nice one DH

Another gem - I was holding up letters and getting her to tell me what they were and she got stuck on E so I said "What does Egg start with?" Her reply? "A chicken!" I nearly wet myself laughing and the poor little thing was so confused "But eggs DO come from chickens Mummy!" :D

CM - Oh that's so cute! Chelsea is not in the asking stage yet.. lucky.. I can still keep my sanity!
QC - I hate excercising! Chelsea and G goes same days to swimming lessons.

Thanks for all the bday greetings.. when I got home DH had 2 bunches of flowers for me - one fr him and one fr dd and my Oroton earrings! I was over the moon. While getting ready for bed he came in the room with small cake and a candle for me to blow.. so cute then handed me the envelope!.........

Anyways our DD did the honors and open it and it said:
"Congratulations - its a GIRL"

Well I just laughed especially because how DH reacted - he just kept saying in a crying tone 'Oh no, its another girl, I'm out numbered'... it was funny at the time.

Told the girls at work and I cried because this will be our last and we were really hoping for a boy. I know DH would have been over the moon if it was a boy. I'm sad for him and I'm dissapointed that I can't give him a boy... but I know we'll get over it soon and we'll be happy with what we are given.

At least now I can call baby by its name - Charlize...

Nanay
25-08-2009, 12:21
Sabby - i knew it..a girl..congratulations.. as for being outnumbered...i'm the only female in this house even our cat's a boy!!!
I like Charlize...our friends daughter has that for a middle name hyphenated with an Ann though (Charlize-Ann) its cute..if we had a girl she would have been called Emily Jane. But alas no more for "planned ones" for me..
As for me.. Braden has just been such a handful lately that DH actually put him into time out for 15mins!!! Our Child nurse said thats very excessive and told us about a book called 123Magic..I've got it on reserve at the Library hopefully I get it soon i'm at my wits end with him...He almost ran out of the shop (shop is on a very busy road) while i was paying for DHs meds (counter was at the back of the shop). He's done this to me a couple of times and it scared the crap out of me although he seems to just stop at the edge of danger...poor shaun probably thinks I'm telling him off rather than his brother...
Off to work for me on Monday...a bit nervous about it all..but im sure it will be just fine...

Sabby congratulations on your Girl News!! Its so lovely to have a sister!! Your Dh is going to love her soooo much - boys are fine, but girls are grand!! Happy and healthy is what we really want! And my pal who has three girls tells me that fathers of all girls are better lovers!!
Nanay I think I will have to look up that book - I need some better coping mechanisms for my little Miss.
CM what a hoot Charlotte is - I think I would have had a hard time keeping a straight face with the egg and chicken comment!
We had a busy morning - did the toy library minding stint for our playgroup zone with another Mum. They have a little playground just there, and G had a ball with the other little girls. Then we charged off to ballet - where she actually behaved herself. Now both the little ones are sound asleep. Our day started just a little too early - anything before 6 is a killer as far as I'm concerned.
I think we've decided to give swimming a wide berth for a few months - G isn't enjoying herself or doing what's asked of her so none of us are having much fun. I will look for lessons where she goes independently with the teacher - I think she'd have a much better time. She's so much more capable than what she is actually doing in the lesson. We'd all have more fun going down the bay one morning a week when the weather warms up (consistently!!).
Apart from that all's well here!

Sabby

Nanay - That so scary B running away fr you.. Chelsea does it if I'm not holding her hands and she thinks its a game. I tell her that if she runs away I'll put her in the pram and she most of the time listens.. we give them a bit of independance and they abuse it - kids!!!
CM - I know it was just hard to accept it or I mean take it in.. I really thought or maybe hoping that we are having a boy. But having a daughter will just be as nice, so many benefits for Chelsea.
QC - love that - good lover ha! Pity G is not enjoying her lesson..

Well it was world war 3 between DH and Chelsea last night... she was being naughty and refuse to eat her dinner. DH had it and was going off his nuts and basically told her she is not allowed to sleep in our room, she had to sleep in her own room. So after I gave her a shower and etc tucked in her room and she taught I would sleep there too and when I walked away she scream crying her head off. Dh went off her for crying and told her why she had to stay as she was naughty for not eating her dinner.. so this went on for an hr and finally she fell asleep! Thank goodness.. I felt so sorry for her. Then at 3 am I could hear her little foot step outside our door but she wouldnt come in thinking she will be in big trouble if she did so I just told her to soosh and tuck her in her toddler bed next to us and I didnt hear a peep fr her until she woke up this morning. First thing she said - 'No crying when sleeping, don't be naughty and need to eat my dinner'... Oh so relieved it worked! She understood... hopefully she will eat her dinner with no problem at all tonight... I don't want another screaming night of DH...

Nanay
26-08-2009, 13:46
Sabby i hear you with DHs screaming ... mine does that with Braden when he is being extra naughty hence the 15minute time out (which the nurse told ME off for)...he has toys in his room so he just gets up and plays with them when we send him to his room...The 123magic method i find is working for him though so far...i have not read the book yet but the nurse told me basically if you dont like what they are doing or being naughty give them 1 and explain what they are doing wrong. If they continue then 2, as soon as its 3 then straight to time out/take them away/take IT away (whatever) no negotiations... Lately Braden only gets to 2 max because i do tell him that when i say 3 he goes to time out...
Maybe give that a try..i'll let you guys know what the book says once i get it from the library.

Oh - it sounds like we are all going through the same kind of things with our willful little ones. Sabby I nearly cried at Chelsea's waking comments today - they just tug your heart strings don't they?
I'm the screamer in this house - I always knew that when it came to Good Cop Bad Cop in this house I was going to be the Bad Cop. I think I have to get that book. I hate losing it with G. Dh loses it too, but he is so reserved and English most people wouldn't even register that he was cranky!!
Ah well, at least I know we're all in a better mood once G has had her sleep. I need the break as much as she does.
Enough on all that! Today G announced that when we went to the plaza that she would "have a babycino"! The kid has had two of them in her whole life I think - so goodness knows how that popped into her head, she also said that I could have a cappucino - though she found that a bit hard to say! She was happy with an iced doughnut and sharing a choc milkshake, which was just as well. Poor old Tob was in the ergo just eyeing off my doughnut - the whole experience was a bit overwhelming for him so he just went to sleep half way around Franklins!!
Suppose I should get up and put the rest of the groceries away whilst they are both asleep!

Well just spoke to DH and he felt really bad about last night but undertood he had to do it otherwise she'll continue to do what she thinks is ok.. He was teary talking about it and that Chelsea's first words this morning.. I bet he cant wait till when we get home this alvo and he gives her lots of hugs and kisses.. I guess there's only so much patience we can take till we just loose it...

Nanay - I do the counting with Chelsea now.. and normally works.. she know that by 3 she is in big trouble.. everything is like a bribing/compromising with her.. It's like share your toys or I'll throw away your mickey mouse dvd.. or finish your dinner or you wont get dessert.. or dont be naughty otherwise no swimming lesson for you.. it always work when you have like a 'bribe'.. gets them thinking that they will benefit if they listen to you.. I wonder if there is any toddler that would just listen because you ask them to do/not do something.

QC - so cute - babycino! I must say I haven't given one to Chelsea but she does love her donuts! She says "No coffee, only for big people, not good for me".. might try the babycino considering its only milk and she drinks chocolate milk now..

Cooking creamy chicken and mushroom penne tonight.. yum.. she likes pasta so :fingerscrossed: she'll eat!

Well have a lovely evening ladies.. I like that our thread has been busy this past few days..

hello again! It is good to see things moving along a bit here again!
One thing I have to remember is that Genevieve is only two. Aparently us humans don't get logic or consequences until we are about 8 years old. Although G remembers everything there is no way she would realise that doing the same thing again the next day would get the same results. I try to stick away from the bribes - but I do use them. The other thing I try to remember with G is that she will eat when she is hungry, and there is no use forcing the issue when she isn't. It is frustrating though.

Nanay
26-08-2009, 19:48
We're done with the briberies in this house...DH bribed Braden with hot wheels when we first started toilet training he must have over 70 cars now!! and all it took was a $1 sheet of transformers stickers to get him fully TT!!

With coffee Braden says.."bradens coffee is milo mummy?" although i dont drink coffee i drink milo with him, only when we're at other peoples house..his coffee is milo..he even asks me for his coffee. so cute... so i put the milk in the microwave and he knows to wait for the "beep" and then he'll get on his ladder and will hold the spoon with me to put the milo in the cup and stir it.

quitecontrary
27-08-2009, 08:24
hahaha to the milo-coffee - thats what G and all her cousins have at my parents place! I don't think G has realised we have milo here too! Just as well, she has a sweet tooth, and a very demanding turn of phrase!

Nanay
27-08-2009, 10:39
Braden sometimes will ask for 2 cups that's the limit though as his "cup" is small and only holds about 1/4 to 1/3 of a normal sized cup. He gets a demanding voice happening when i tell him no, no more for anything...he better get rid of it quick smart as the novelty has already worn off...
Well we had a trial at daycare today...people are nice (although they kept calling Shaun she/her), Braden seemed to have a great time. I'm a bit peeved that they only let Shaun sleep 30mins!!! I stayed there and explained to them that he does wake up at 30-45 min mark and to just leave him as he goes back to sleep on his own. But on the board it said he only slept 845-915. Not happy. I think im letting it slide for now as i only left them there for a couple of hours but on monday they better sort it out or im looking for another one. I kinda got stuck with this one as most are full already at this short notice and it looks like they have a great kindy program for Braden next year. They have separated 3 & 4 year old kindy (unlike the previous one where they have them together).

DH is definately the bad cop in this house, lol. I'm the big softie :o

At the moment we're going with the If you don't do as your told your toys are going in the bin. Which is normally met with "So put them in the bin" So DH gathers up her toys and hides them in the garage and she has to earn them back, which seems to be working - for now, lol.

Anyway...

Charlotte is a big fan of the babycino :D whenever we go shopping she has to get "sushi and a babycino please!" lol. I really need to look into making my own sushi, she loves it so much!

And some good news....I became an Aunty for the 7th time last night!!!! My SIL had a little girl Zailee :bee: so gorgeous! I had lots of cuddles, she hadn't even been weighed yet and was still all naked in her blankies, lol.

CM - Oh congrats for being an aunty for the 7th time.. love the name... We do the toy in the bin as well. But I put it in a garbage bag and I let her see me put it in the big bin that DH later retrieves back.. I usually do that when she wont tidy up her toys...

Nanay - hope the childcare would eventually suit the kids and your needs. So hard finding the 'right suit' childcare.

AZ - Dh last night said he is starting to get used to the idea of having 3 gals in the house.. but he goes "oh I wont have anyone to play the playstation with and will be playing with barbie's instead" Like as he has time to play with the playstation now! Would you want to TTC for a 3rd one?.. DH doesn't want 3 and especially because not medically suit for me either.. I guess that's why I'm so sad for DH because this is it.. no more chance of a boy..

QC - Is G going to day care or kindy atm? I'm hoping to take Chelsea to her carer at least 2 days a week when Charlize comes.. at least for the first 3 months.. cant afford to take her to her carer for the full 12 months I'm off work..

We are announcing to my family at 2mrw's soul food that its a girl.. so be exciting but hopefully I dont cry like I did when I told the girls here at work..

Sabby Tell your DH not to worry, Charlotte LOVES playing the Wii, lol. I'm sure he'll still have a playstation buddy :D

I asked DH if he wanted to come to The Fairies with us and his reply was "Only if the hot dads get special backstage passes":rolleyes:

Sabby tell your DH not to worry a friend of ours has a girl she's turning 2 next month and she is a bit of a tomboy..loves cars, plays racing games on the playstation with dad (they have a steering wheel thing) and at times even goes out in the garage to "help" do up his car.
I was told when i was in the hospital that girls are better when they grow up as they become somewhat your friend...which is true as i see my and my sisters relationship with my mum I see her more as a friend now than a mum.

G is always out helping dh do all sorts of things around the place!! On the weekends I don't even get a look in!
She is at home with me every day - she is going to preschool next year which she is already excited about. Just two days a week - and I think Toby and I will miss her dreadfully. But on the other hand it will give us a bit of time to do more fun things for tiny tots!

You guys are all doing great!!!!

Happy Birthday Sabby and congrats on your girl news - I was SO sure you were having a boy!! I love the name Charlise, one of the girls from mothers group is named that, and everyone calls her Charli for short! It's cute when the kids shorten their names LOL

I didn't know 'babycinos' were made from plain milk - I always thought it was like milo done a cappacino way LOL

Re the discipline side of things, I could give you a brief rundown of what i'm learning in parenting class but its late so I'll update you when I get a chance!! And, I'm STILL trying getting my head around this discipline thing - it's all trial and error - oh if only my kids could do time out!! Out of everything I've learned at parenting class, the two main things I've learnt are that I really must be the calm parent and be able to be peristent with the time out section... but in real life, it certainly wears me down!!

My boys are sooo overdue for a haircut, I can't bring myself to do it, so once again it's up to DH - we have a wedding to go to in mid September and the boys are invited (eek) so must get their hair done up somehow...

My DH might just do the number 1 all over LOL...

:wave:Hi everyone!!

I'm finally here with some details, lol :D I haven't got the internet at home at the moment  we're shopping for a new computer.

So little William Peter Kennedy is here 4 weeks early :cloud9: 6lb 10oz (3.08kg) 49cm long Head Circ 33cm.

Got quite a shock last Sunday morning at 7am. We were all in bed and I rolled over and felt something drip drip drip so I woke DH and said "something feels wet" and he thought I meant Charlotte had wet our bed, lol and I said "No...me" so I got out of bed and just exploded all over the carpet!! DH jumped out of bed with a string of swear words in a huge panic which woke Charlotte up - she jumped up and burst into tears "why is Mummy weeing on the floor?" haha! So we said it was ok it meant her brother was coming!

I rang the hospital and they said to come straight in because it was 4 weeks early. I hadn't even packed our bags so had to do a mad rush around. I'd just pulled the door shut and DH realised he'd left the car keys inside! So he had to jump the neighbours fence and KICK THE BACK DOOR IN!! Soo funny, lol.

Anyway, got to hospy, no contractions yet so they admitted me to the maternity ward......where I sat for the next 2 days waiting for something to happen! They ended up inducing me on Tuesday morning at 8am and labour started with a bang at 10am. I went from nothing to severe contractions every 2 minutes. It turned out he was posterior, which is why it was so intense. No fun, lol.

William arrived at 2pmon the dot after a 4 hour labour. It only took 2 pushes to get him out!

He's all good, slightly jaundiced and has a bit of a tongue tie but it doesn't affect his feeding so they said we won't have to do anything about it.

I had to stay in until he was 48 hours while they monitored his temps and then got to bring my little man home on Thursday arvo.

So I've rambled on for long enough now but will be back with some pics after!

Oh Shell - that's such a funny story!! Your DH cracks me up! I cant wait to get home and see your pic's, cant view facebook here at work.

Had a lovely weekend - spent all day at the park yday for father days. Then did loads of folding last night and a basket of ironing that I was exhausted by night time - I thought I can give birth my belly was so low!

Finally getting our down lights done this friday and saturday! We've only waitied 3 yrs to get this done! We bought the lights then and just been waiting for DH's bestfriend to install them.. I'll be so happy when its all done, that means we've done the all the major things we wanted to do with the house.. just took 5 yrs to get it all done!

Chelsea been acting little strange lately, her carer said that she must know that little Charlize's arrival is approaching soon.. she's been doing baby talk at times and wants to be cuddled lots. And she doesn't like being into trouble.. being sensitive when we get angry at her and she is quick to apologise. Hope she'll be ok when Charlize arrives..

Sabby - I love downlights - it's good for someone like me who relies on light for communication! We have no dark corners in our house - so it was totally worth it installing our downlights!

Kimmy Kim kim - are you feeling any twinges yet? how cool would it be if your bubs was born on 09.09.09?? Like the same 08.08.08 thing!! I wish you luck!! it doesn't matter if bub's not ready to show, I think any day in the 9th month of the 9th year is still cool! Got your names picked out yet?

We have finally succeeded in getting my boys haircuts - it took a long time - and plenty of encouragement for them to accept that they were getting their haircut!! They kept insisting that mummy/daddy do it at home... (no, this was a last resort!!) But yay, success - after 4 attempts at going to the barbers and the hairdressers they were happy to sit in DH's lap (on Fathers Day of all days) while getting their hair cut... I'm happy with how it all looks!

My boys are now adjusting well, and I'm starting to relax about this discipline/parenting thing - it was worth it to do a short course in order to get some other options/ideas that you can implement at home if you so wish - time out isn't working (yet) but there's a lot of other things you can do instead - like distractions, count to 3 etc and I'm making use of 'quality time' rather than 'quantity time' so of course, the dreaded paints/playdough has had some use recently. The focus seems to be on positive time with your kids and if it's via baking, painting, building lego etc... put the housework aside for a bit and just have some fun with your kiddies!! Seems to be working for us so far.

I can't view your pics Charli's mum (boo hoo!!) but I'm sure lil' William is cute and I pray that Charli loves her lil brother! and isn't too jealous, rough with him either...

Hope your fathers day went well

9/9/09 would be cool, but don't think its going to happen! :p

What was the course you did Kylie?

Sabby, Zara went through a difficult stage about 3mths ago but luckily she is better now. I just stayed consistent and tried to stay calm with her. Its so hard! I don't know what its going to be like when the baby comes..

9/9/09 would be cool, but don't think its going to happen! :p What was the course you did Kylie?

It's a cool date eh? September is shaping to be a big month - my cousin's getting married on the 18th Sept, he proposed at exactly 8.08pm on the 08.08.08 LOL so I questioned why he wasn't getting married on the 09.09.09 at 9.09!! Boys have their preschool photos next week - partly the reason for their hair cuts LOL... and there's also a few birthdays and soccer presentations in there!

Must upload their before and after haircuts - I can't believe we finally got it done, especially when they kicked up quite a stink at the shops but we went to a different place and they were little angels sitting still while their hair got cut! Tip - DON'T get your little ones haircut on a Sunday they double their prices and in our case it was x2!! But they look good now, yay!

Kim, I did the Triple P - positive parenting program. Some of it's working but other aspects of it still needs work - such as the timeout thing which my boys flat out refuse to do! Distractions are the main thing - take the focus off the tantrum (or ignore it) and get them onto other things - so there's lots of chopping and changing plans here (much to DH's dismay - I say I'll get vacuuming done, but instead go and bake a cake due to the circumstances LOL) ;)

Also, I try and 'pick my battles' - it's easier to remove the kid from the situation rather than rant 'DON'T jump on the lounge!!' - remove the kid from the lounge, and distract with other toys or a game etc... rather than launching into the 'How many times have I told you, NO jumping on the lounge' spiel etc...

It's all in a day's work - Motherhood - geee, it's not easy... But the cuddles and kisses that I do get are the most prized treasures of all :valentine:

Hope you are all well :flowerz:

AZ for some reason I didn't look here again last night, but I did see E&N's FB post - thought that might be you!! I hope you're not reading this - and instead you are in the hospy with your baby in your arms!!
AM sounds like you are doing some wonderfully positive parenting! So much more important than the housework I feel.
We don't do timeout here, G has no idea what it is when I've sort-of tried it. She does get man-handled down to her room when I'm at the end of my tether and it doesn't really help much, though sometimes she just gets her pillow and blanket and kicks back on the couch there. Timeout for me works much better!! A few minutes out in the garden til I cool down and we all feel better!!
We had the preschool introduction meeting last week, so I need to go down there and complete the rest of the enrolment process, as I'd lost the letter with the instructions on it. G will be pleased to call in again, even if we're just going to the office. Must fill in the form etc before we head off to the gym this morning!
By the way, I love the music for Charli and Lola! (its just finished!)

QC - Chelsea likes that show too just like U:laughing:..
AM - Good to hear most of what you've learnt is working.. Yes cant wait to see the before and after shot.
AZ- :fingerscrossed: baby comes soon.. Did you get a gift for Zara fr new baby.. read somewhere that its a good idea to give a gift to older sibling that it came fr new baby considering all visitors will be coming to give gifts to baby.

Chelsea is big on Dora atm and I found this book called 'Big Sister Dora'.. I'm so eager to get it but lost a bid on ebay so yday called Dymocks and placed an order which they have to wait to arrive fr oseas.. but I'm ok to wait as only need to pay $8 for it.. hope she responds to it well to the book... She said the other day "I don't want baby Charlize".... she repeated herself 3 times.. i was so shock.. then I told her that it upsets me hearing her say that and she said.. "mummy, i love baby charlize".. so my reply to her.. "Oh thats good girl Chelsea, I love you and you are going to be a great BIG sister".. I'm scared how upset she will be when her little sister arrives and the minimal attention I will give to her since I will have to put spend more time with baby.. hope she will be ok with the transition.. makes me sad when I feel like i'm neglecting her.. but its not in purpose.. my friend said that i need to start seperating my self now so she gets used to the idea.. I have given allot of the bonding chores to DH, like bathing etc. But I feel real guilty not spending enough time with her so I will make up for it..

Sabby - ahhh, you know, when the new baby does come it will be wonderful! A big change for everyone, but so lovely! Have you got "The House in Mummy's Tummy"? Dh read it all the time to G (it used to make me cry tears of joy so I couldn't read it to her myself for a long time) - its such a beautiful book. Don't worry too much about Chelsea (easier said than done I know) she will be fine, and there are a lot of things you will find that are easy to do with both of them!
As for things children say - G has started saying bullsh!t - especially if I've asked her something that she doesn't want to answer - and I know exactly who it comes from (me, oops)! Oh she can be really funny though! The other day we had bought some cakes for after dinner, and she was so pooped she went to bed without mentioning them, but she woke up and it was "I want my cupcake" straight away! She was laying in our bed saying to Dh "Daddy, there's something missing from your mouth" and he was "What?", her reply "Your cake". Rest assured she didn't actually get to eat it til morning tea!
She does love Toby a lot, as one of the Mum's in my Feb group says, if he survives this Tough Love he'll survive anything! The other day I did see her trying to carry him - which was a little concerning as he is more than half her weight. It won't be long and the two of them will be doing that carry-you-around thing to each other I can tell!
All is fine here. Both of them are napping - its a hard life when you're under 3 eh?

Still here, still pregnant! Had a small Amniotic leak but it seems to have repaired and all is still intact. Joy! I am ready, but again I can wait..:p

Sabby, I got Zara & the baby (which is hopefully indeed a girl!) Thomas Sabo braclets with a matching Charm (The pink booty) and i'll engrave their initals on the back once the baby is here. Then i'll add to them every B'day. I already did 2 more for Z's 1st and 2nd bday's. So i'll get her another in Dec.
I've bought Z a special dress to come and meet the baby in and take the baby home in. And also I bought her a My little Pony baby that has a dummy and says some silly lovey things. Totally novelty, but she will love that. And also I packed some new crayons and a colouring book into my hospy bag.

Z seems to be pretty excited about the baby and talks to my tummy asking the baby to come out now..."I want to show you things to your eyes"
I think she will be too "helpful" if anything. She will want to do the nappy changes and dressing and bathing and will prob have quite a few tantrums about not doing as much as she wants too I bet!

So yeah...thats me! I am hoping I don't get to 41wks and have to be induced, thats my only wish!

10-09-2009, 14:16
AZ I'm so excited for you, I was so sure you would have had your bub by now! Z is going to be completely in awe of the baby - as I am sure Charli is!!
Genevieve says things like "Toby can't talk, yet", and I don't know whether I told you about her saying he has "pink teeth" - I have to say it won't be long til those jaws are containing teeth on the outside!! I have to say its not all sweetness though, she came out of the lounge room today saying "I gave Toby a slap, he was being rude to you". Goodness knows whether she actually did, but she did spend a few minutes by herself on her couch to think about it. Oh yes, its hug a baby, squeeze a baby around here!
They are both having their afternoon nap - I should've joined them, am feeling weary these days. G vomited in her bed last night (the only place she ever does it it seems) so we were up changing bedlinen etc in the middle of the morning. It was just a one off, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with her at all. Dh and G both slept in, but I was feeding T as per the usual at 6.30, which is better than 5 I suppose.
Hope you're all well!

AZ - Oh all the pressie's sounds good esp the bracelet.. great idea I'll be packing her colouring book, stickers and crayons in my hosp bag.. oh so excited for your new addition to come...

Went to Target last night and got a baby bag full of goodies as they have a babython atm. Bag had nappies, 5 J&J pack wipes, 5 j&j baby wash, 2 big tanning lotion & find me lost wrist bracelet. So good when you get things for free.

Bought Chelsea's first real bike, its a dora 30 cm with a parent steering attachment. Its on sale for $99 and so cute comes with bag and a flag thing.. Then bought her a Dora dress that she can wear as her outfit for her bday as she is having a dora theme at Lollipopland.

DH bought her a rip girl full swimmers rashy, so cute and he got me black havaianas - love them! So comfy.. be wearing them to work fr now on.. don't care.. what's my boss gonna do - sack me.. he can try I say! LOL! Hey I'm pregnant - as the saying goes I can get away with murder!

QC - what's the party for Toby for.. his bday is not till 4/3?? I'm presuming it's his 6 month old bday? How did it go?

Well had a busy weekend.. got our downlights done in our house (finally after waiting 3 years!) and it looks sooo much nicer and brighter with so many lights now.

Then yday went to Ikea to buy chest drawers for bub's room but it was out of stock. Then we went to Sydney aquatic centre and Chelsea had a ball! She loves all the slides and cool stuff they had in the pools.. she also liked showing off her swimming skills to mommy and daddy. Then afterwards we were hungry so while lining up to get some hot chips had a dizzy spell and nearly passed out - lucky I made it to the chair to sit down. 2nd time its happen with this pregnancy - lucky DH has been there at both times.

Hi all..sorry been really busy with work and kids and house really only have time to read..lurk..
Jobs going good still lots to learn now i know why they say they have an extensive training program it will take months for me to finish the initial training and get qualified..i guess because its pharmaceutical...too bad we have to cut our nz holiday short though...daycare still gives me the sh!ts so hope to get them out of there and into one we like in Nov crossing our fingers and toes..even braden says in the mornings he does not want to go where in the old one he would drag me out the door!!!
Shaun's doing fine..today though he will have 5 bottles of 240mls!! so im thinking either growth spurt or milk is just not doing it..i'll give it a week and see if he still wakes up in the middle of night for a feed then this weekend will have to give him solids..

Nanay I've just started T on solids and he still wakes at 4am for a feed - which is better than 2 am (we just settle him again if he wakes then or before). Not exactly fun, but seeings G wakes up sometime around 6 I couldn't stand letting him cry it out just to wake her up tooooo early.
Sabby yes, it was a party to celebrate Toby's 6 months!! This last 6 months have been pretty busy and a bit tumultuous with dh's Mum dying and everything, its taken a bit longer to get around to having a celebration in honour of our new baby! We don't christen our babies, but I suppose it is our equivalent kind-of thing! Besides I love parties!! We ended up with about 30 guests as there were a few late cancellers, but that was just about optimum for our house! Such a hot day, it was lovely to be out in the garden with friends in the late afternoon, eating and drinking and watching the kids playing together.

Solids for Toby and Shaun already?? Where did the time go??

I have just updated my boys albums - it was lovely to reminisce over the 'good old days' back when our toddlers were only little bubbies... I showed my mum some of the pics and she got the boys wrong LOL!! ahhh, wasn't it all easy back then?? Or was it still just as hard as it is now??

I guess we grow with the times, each year there's been different obstacles, new challenges and new ways of dealing with these challenges...Parenting's still bl**dy hard but we can't help but look back and think it was all rosy and hunky dory back when they were newborns then eh?

We've been taking a trip down memory lane!! So get out your little one's photo albums, take a look at their gorgeous toothless grins, and tell me it's still easy (parenting) or that it's all harder now?? Awww, I still love my boys, even though they give me my moments :valentine:

When Z was little it was harder to know why she was cranky and how to help. Although on the other hand Boob fixed everything!

Now the things she does are just amazing to me and she is such a sweet little girl!

Right now I think she is easier...but she has her days. Sleeping through the night makes life easier.

I agree with AZ - I think every stages of there growth has its up and down but I think Chelsea is much easier now especially her sleeping through at night.. I remember the first few months was hell for DH and I as she was colic and has cat naps during the day and was up every 2 hrs at night.. It was truly challenging!

Oh on a good note Chelsea is finally into her fresh milk! Before she'll only have it if you put a little bit of milo now she's gobbing down fresh milk.. maybe she might put on some fat - finally!!

He doesn't even cry when he wakes in the night, just lays there gurgling til I come and get him. :fingerscrossed: He stays like that!

We had a lovely family day on Friday, took the kidlets to the Shark and Ray Centre in Nelsons Bay. It was so much fun, DH and Charlotte swam with the sharks and stingrays and hand fed them. Charli had to wear a little wetsuit, too cute! She was a bit scared at first feeding the stingrays, she screamed her lungs out when it came out the water! I'm just putting pics up on Facebook now and a video too :D

And here's a couple of my little man

Sabby, great to hear that C is loving her milk now. Z has always loved fresh milk. Cold from the fridge :p

Shell, awwwwwwww :cloud9:. William is just so gorgeous! He really looks like Charli doesn't he? So cute. Well done!

Yes I am still without baby on the outside. Waiting waiting....I am not sure what the hold up in there is. Maybe she is lost and can't find her way out. E&N suggested I draw her a map, so I might do so tonight  Its my due date today! :D Proud we made it here....I now know what it will be like to be overdue..woo hoo..

I'mmm back!!

With my lovely little newborn girl "Lucy Silva" :cloud9::baby:

It is funny that I had just written a post and shortly after I had a bloody show and then 3.30am on 17/9 I started contractions which got regular and strong at about 11am and then was fully dialated at 3.30pm ( I think, time is eluding me atm)..I pushed for 1.5hrs unsuccessfully and she was firmly wedged, posterior with her forehead trying to come first. She has a V shaped bruise on her forehead (poor baby) and then I had an emergency c-sec.

She is just such a lovely cuddly little baby. Such a little cutie. I am definitley in a baby moon haze at the minute. Very sleep deprived but wonderful!

I said to DH I have now had an epidural birth, a natural birth (minus the ring of fire..hehe) and an emergency C-sec in 2 pregnancies...so now we need to have another so I can have a planned c-sec and i've done it all!

Hi, welcome back!! Congrats on the birth of cute lil' Lucy!! You DO forget how tiny our bubs once were! Hope you enjoy your babymoon and that Zara is being a good 'big' sister for Lucy. Hope you're not too uncomfortable after your c/s.

Sabby - which Lollipops playland?? Sounds like lots of fun for a party!! We love the one at wetherill park... You are super organised, thinking of her 3yo party already  Maybe I should get my lil' ones party organised soon!!

Take care all

Congratulations again AZ! What a beautiful name Lucy Silva.. hope you are getting help fr DH and family so you can rest and recover.. So there is going to be a number 3 ha!

AM - I haven't been to Wetherill Park but I have been the one in campbelltown and spoken to people to the one whose been in to both and all prefer the Campbelltown one so I'm booking there instead as same distance from us for both play centres. I have to organise it early as this belly is just growing and getting more uncomfortable. So while I can still move around I'll do as much.. now maybe we'll have time to do the nursery in few weeks time! I'm 28 weeks this week! Woo hoo!

Had a girls night in at my sis' house on saturday. There was 11 girls (all mum's) and we had a massuer, manicurist and beautician doing facial to pamper us all night. Then we also had games such as pictionary and bingo.. it was so much fun. I was so buggerred though from laughing and yelling when we were playing games and my body is still trying to recover..

AZ Congratulations!!!:bee: I just looked at your photos on facebook, so precious! I love love love the name Lucy, its so cute! I hope you are recovering well from the c/s. It's good to have different birth experiences isn't it? I was glad I got to find out what it felt like for my water to break after being induced with Charli and having it broken in hospy, lol. Well done xx

Sabby Glad you like the raunchy pics  I have some others with no bra on and DH holding my boobies, lol, too raunchy for facebook!! Good Luck with the party planning, I can't believe our babies are going to be 3!!
The girls night sounded awesome too, lucky duck!

All is well here, I'm getting William's hand and foot casting done tomorrow, trying to decide which photo to put in with it! Not sure whether to do one of mine or wait for one of the photos we're having done on Sunday. Hmmm.

He's a little piggie, I'm going to weigh him on Friday which is his due date and thank my lucky stars I didn't have to push him out this size, lol.

CharlisMummy - DH holidng boobies and no bra!! Woot woot! Bring it on!! LOL!!!
Glad that his putting on the weight well..

This thread has been too quiet!

Well supposed to do the nursery on the weekend but didn't get around to it.. being the 2nd I guess not as eager with the 1st - like making sure everything is done certain time etc..

Did do another photobook on big w online as it's on sale for $9.95.. love doing it rather than getting the pic's printed and placing on album.. the photobooks don't take up as much space on the lamp side table...

Have my 3 hr GD test 2mrw.. so no looking forward to it.. Have to fast and be there at 7am! My 1 hr gd test showed really high levels of sugar.. I'm so spewing and will be devastated if this test comes back positive.. I'm going to be sweets deprived for the rest of this pregnancy and then Charlie will have a risk of having diabetes later in her life.

Hope all you ladies have a great week!

Sabby - hope all is well!! Are you due the same day that Chelsea was almost 3years ago?? Except that she decided to arrive a little earlier? Wishing you luck that you go full term this time around!!

You still have plenty of time to do the nursery up! I think you're more relaxed 2nd time around!! No longer do you obsess over the trivial things...

My bad, I know I promised piccies of before and after boys' haircuts but it hasn't happened - September has proven to be quite a busy month!!!

Things should settle down soon - when AJ starts his school holidays on Friday afternoon!! And DH too!! I will still be working though, booooooo! but we have some good holiday 'things-to-do' plans already. Like 10 pin bowling! And treating DH and I to a La Premiere movie special (i want to see Mao's last dancer) so will ship the kiddielets off to the grandparents and have a break ourselves!

Plus lots of sleeeeeeppppp - boys have been a bit difficult lately!! but we're fine :flowerz:

BEFORE (http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/andrewsmum_2006/100_0390.jpg)

Andrew's t-shirt says "Dad taught me everything he knows - it didn't take long" bwahhaahaaa... I'd have to agree! LOL

AFTER (http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/andrewsmum_2006/100_0400.jpg)

We were getting ready for a wedding (hence the reason/urgency for their haircuts!!) I'm glad the boys got over their fear of the hairdresser's/barber's and allowed them to cut their hair - maybe it was the bribe of getting a donut afterwards that worked!! LOL...

Ooooh, and pity about the identical bruises on their heads - separate incidents, ID bruises = crazy kids!!

Hope you're well. :flowerz:

So quiet in here!!

AM The boys look very handsome with their new haircuts! They look older now too I think  Enjoy your holiday activities and La Premiere, I've always wanted to go there!

Sabby I hope your GD comes back clear. Its not too bad if you have it though, just a bit annoying really but it is worrying that you and bub might have it later in life. I had it both pregnancies and seeing as DH is a real diabetic our kiddies are probably doomed anyway
Don't worry about the bubs room, I'm still trying to finish Williams. I'm almost done, will have to post a pic, Its looking really good :D

I'm making a Big W photobook at the moment too, lol, of our pregnancy photos. We had photos of William and some of Charlotte taken on Sunday so I hope they arrive before the sale finishes! I've seen one of the photos already and I LOVE it! can't wait to see the rest!

I'm taking the kids to the New MacDonalds Farm concert tomorrow at Hornsby. Charlotte is sooooo excited, she's been watching her dvd every day practicing the songs and dances and I've bought her a denim overall dress to wear hehe.

AM - Yes Chelsea was due around same time as bub#2.. you see we only make love once every 3 yrs and thats when we conceive! LOL!!!! I don't think I'm going full term with bubba2, I'm confident she'll be early like her big sister, the midwife thinks so too.. :fingerscrossed: she arrives at 37 weeks, otherwise I'll go insane if she goes full term - I'm not mentally prepared for that!
I love the boys haircut, they look so handsome and looking more like Andrew too! Enjoy your holiday activities.. how I wish Chris and I can go on a date.. too much expenses lately so really need to keep on a budget.. only 2 pays to go till I will be on my unpaid mat leave!

CM - Yeah the bigw sale finishes 2mrw hopefully you get the pic's on time. Enjoy the concert 2mrw, I know Charli will! Haven't taken Chelsea to a concert since wiggles last yr.. but she is only interested on Dora or Mickey Mouse atm.

Well had the 3 hr long GD test yday and proud to say it came back NORMAL! :smiliedance: I'm soooo sooo happy.. I can eat sweets again! So hard being sweets deprived...

Then went to lollipopland and paid for the deposit for Chelsea's party, got the invitations so handing them out this week as I want RSVP asap just incase I'm short the min amount of kids I have plenty of time to invite others - lol! So far 14 kids and 23 adults on the list.

DH is home sick with a cold.. my poor DH.. He's been snoring so bad at night as his nose is super blocked that I moved in the middle of the night to the guest room and boy did I get good sleep. So will need to care for a sick hubby when I get home and also a clingy DD and carry this wide load infront of me and cook dinner! Oh well... I have this weekend to look forward.. going to Lake Macquarie for 3 nights. Pity the weather is forecast to be rain..

AM - Yes Chelsea was due around same time as bub#2.. you see we only make love once every 3 yrs and thats when we conceive! LOL!!!!

Funny you say that - AJ was due 22nd December, he was overdue, born on 28th December.

2nd full pregnancy - due date 15th December, then we found out it was twins and so aimed for 24th November when they were 37 weeks but they were born 22nd November LOL...

So you could say we conceive every 3 years!! Except for this year LOL!!! I'm not sure if i really want more kiddies!! However, babies will come when they're ready! As I'm sure your's will, and maybe baking longer than 37 weeks!

But still, I think you have plenty of time to set up the nursery, and that perhaps you're overreacting!! Relaxxxxx... Have you finished work yet...

However, wow at getting Chelsea's birthday party organised already - let's hope you can enjoy the festivities!! :flowerz:

Sabby, yay for being in the 3rd trimester!! How fast is this year going?? make sure you get plenty of sleep and rest and enjoy it, because having a newborn means sleep deprivation! :p I know you know that, but I forgot how tiring it can be having broken sleep all night.

Kylie, Love the boys haircuts and Andrews shirt! Cute!

Shell, hope you get the photobook finished. Can't wait to see some pics of W's nursery.

Where is QC? Is she on holidays?

AFM, well everything is going great! Recovery from the c-sec has been a sinch and I made the first trip out of the house with two kidlets by myself today. I filled Lucy up with boob before we left and she slept the whole time. The bugaboo was great with the skateboard and the car capsule sat in the basinet part quite nicely! Spent $100 on clothes for Z & I...hehe. Didn't push it though and was home within an hour or so. Lucy is still asleep though! Well going to go and enjoy some time with Z...speak soon!

Was looking forward for the long weekend but this weather is becoming a damper.. We are going to Lake Macquarie and come back on Tuesday. DH bday on tuesday so having his family and my family for dinner that night, so I'm gonna be so buggered the next day.

Hope we atleast get a day when the sun comes out this weekend so can take Chelsea for a nice swim in the pool and beach.. otherwise staying in the cabin the whole weekend is not going to be so much fun...

Hello!!
Yes, we've been up the coast for 9 nights - a week at Yamba up on the hill behind the beach, and a night each way to break up the drive. We had fabulous weather, a great town house, great food (love love love Yamba prawns) good shopping and great kids!! Toby is 7 months old today, and got his first tooth on Tuesday and is getting ready to launch himself into the World of Crawling - he is up on all fours and rocking!!
Funny G quotes for the week " we bought prawns and oyster eggs" and "round and round the garden ..... one step two step tickle you under Woolooware" (where my parents live!!). She is such a ball of unpredictablity - stunningly lovely one minute and a screaming banshee the next - but you all know the drill with two year olds.
AM - love the pics, and Andrew's shirt - too too funny!
AZ - glad to hear you are recovering well, and that the bugaboo works well with a skateboard attachment.
Sabby - hope your little holiday is a good one!

AZ Glad you recovered quickly from the c/s  I did my first solo trip with 2 kiddies the other day too. We were out nearly all day so we went into the library so I could BF in air conditioned comfort on the couch, lol. He did a really loud explosive poo in there too, so embarrassing! Nothing quite like a BF newborn poo!

Charli walked all the way to the shops which is at least 35mins each way, walked all around both shopping centres, played in the new playground for about an hour, walked all the way home, played with the neighbours for an hour and a half and still didn't go to bed until 9:30pm! Poor sleep deprived Mummy.

QC Sounds like you had a lovely trip away. mmmm prawns! I can't believe Toby is at the teething/crawling stage already, its gone so quickly! And our 2yo's sound very similar :D

Sabby I hope you got to enjoy your long weekend, I wish the rain would go away!

The other day as we were leaving swimming lessons Charlotte said " I'm sooo sad" When DH asked her why "because I don't want to go to Coles, I want to go to Woolies!" We think it was because there's a ride outside Woolies, lol

And the other night after she snuck into our bed I came back from feeding William and we could hear him grizzling in his cot a bit, she rolled over with a HUGE put out sigh and said " I think he needs a burp mum" cheeky bugger!

CM sounds like there'll be 4 in the bed every night soon - what a laugh your Charli is! Wont be too long and she can be getting up to Will in the night too!! Poor old G has only just clicked that those rides in shopping centres take money, she was just happy to sit in them!!
We have just come back from storytime, and both of the kids are asleep. I tell you what, I count my blessings in that regard!
Yesterday Dh decided a trip into the city to the Apple Store was in order, and we both got iPhones - very schmick I must say, and kind-of out of my league, I usually use my phone as a phone, but I suppose I'll get addicted to it. Then we went to the Lindt Cafe - would've been very romantic if we didn't have the two passion-killers in the p&t!
Can't believe how much we are back to winter-ish weather. Our week up the coast was just divine weather wise, so sunny and warm. But I kind-of like a bit of rain around the place, we are so slack at watering our garden even without the stricter restrictions.
Enough on all that, I suppose I should have some lunch etc whilst its quiet around here.

QC - so glad you had wonderful weather for your trip.. Can't believe Toby is already almost crawling - wow that's so good! And Iphone's ha.. you trendy mom!

CM - Charli cracks me up with her comments.. so cute! Yeah chelsea's loves those rides and I used to be a sucker and put the coin all the time when I got told by my sister that shouldn't do that. So she just sits there until some other sucker pays instead - lol! Otherwise I just tell her its broken and that usually works.

Had a great long weekend up the coast - got back yday. Even though the weather was not warm enough to go for a swim, there was a couple of days where it was sunny enough for Chelsea to play in the beach sand. Overall it was nice to get away.

Was DH bday yday as well and had his family over for dinenr. It was a good night - I'm just buggerred.. my muscles are acheing and getting harder to walk.. like my bones are brittle! Can't wait to go on mat leave! Count down soon!

Sabby, glad to hear your little trip was nice and Chelsea got some beach time. Hope Dh had a nice bday.

CM, sounds like a long day with the kiddies! Good on you! I can't wait till I can go for walks. Even though my recovery is great, it did pull a bit on my scar walking down hill on a travelator thing at the shops. So don't think i'm up for a walk around the neighbourhood as yet.

I totally hate those rides at shops! I try to bypass them all as I know where most are in the shops we go to but Z has ride radar and always spots them! Then its a big fight if I say No. Which usually I do. :hair: I told DH we should invest in some because those people must be making a $$$!

On the holiday front I think we will venture up to the gold coast in March and take Z to Wiggles world. Hopefully SIL and her family can come as well so Z has a playmate. Can't wait!

AZ please take it easy with your c/s recovery. Its one of those things that you can't underestimate the healing process of. With both my kidlets I was banned from driving and lifting the pram (family ban mind you) until the 6 weeks was up. I felt like I was up to doing everything but I knew my bod wouldn't thank me. Plus with all the trauma and drama that went on straight after Toby was born I really needed to be taking it easy physically as much as possible.

Ha, you all will be laughing that as soon as we got home I started researching our next holiday! It won't be for a little while though. In the meanwhilst we really have to organise our Tour of Duty to England - I shouldn't say it like that but it's not much of a holiday.
It is such a wintery looking day here today. We are going to venture out to playgroup but I don't think we'll be walking unless the wind dies down considerably. I always feel bad driving as its seriously 5 minutes max, plus allow 10 to find a parking spot! The walk is a good one with the hills around here though!

QC, I prob should be taking it more easy. But I am only doing what I can and being sensible. I was so bed ridden after Zara's delivery that I think this time I have just refused to be! But I think that has meant I have recovered easier. The scar feels great. Just occasionally stings a bit.

Still haven't found a preschool for Z! :hair: Bloody area I live in! Seriously, we need 3 or 4 more preschools to cope with demand. I really don't want to send her to daycare b/c most of the ones I have seen have 3yr-5yr old rooms. My sister who works in childcare said its not a great option. What to do! I am enrolling little miss Lucy now! I wish I knew to do that with Z when she was a baby.

AZ I worked (as admin) in a long day care centre, and the pre-school program was great. One major advantage that LDC has over pre-school is that it is long day care, and even if you keep Z to pre-school hours you can have her in there a little longer/earlier if/when required. If you find a centre that you feel comfortable with then go for it!! One thing too is if you put her down at preschools for when she is 4 she becomes a priority as it will be the year before school. I'm sure your sis has told you all this anyway!
Yes, I put T's application form in when we were enrolling G a few weeks ago - too funny really but there is an infants school next door so they will be going to the same vicinity for a few years!
After my c/s my little sis reminded me of what an awful delivery she had had - as she said, I might have a sore "tum" but at least I could sit on my bottom. Eeek.
Anyway AZ - remember to put your feet up when you can! ABC Kids is there for a purpose, and I think its for breastfeeding mums with two year olds as well!!

QC - You make me laugh organising your next holiday already.. how I wish I can do the same all the time.. have to beg DH for even a mini holidays!! He is such a cheapskate.. all he wants to do is save save save..

Great photos Sabby you look fantastic, as does Chelsea of course! Good luck with your productive weekend - don't put your tree up yet - leave something fun for later on!! You'll have enough to do without the Tree as well, its 11 weeks til Christmas which I'm sure you are well aware of!!
All's well here.
We are planning to do the 3 Day Toilet Training Program here over the weekend and Monday so it is going to be interesting - a nice way to put it eh? Have been reading the book and trying to get ready for it. The hardest bit will be throwing out all the nappies etc first thing tomorrow morning. G is going to flip - I know there will be a lot of screaming from her until she realises that she isn't going to win this one! I can't wait for it actually, I am so sick of changing her nappy!

How is this going? We started TT 'seriously' last long weekend and it was a frustrating process!! Needless to say we need to really stick to it, rather than putting them back in 'glorified nappies' (pull-ups) just because we have a function or something to do that day, or the next...

I think I need to arrange a few days off work and not go anywhere, to concentrate fully on the TT thing! I reckon we need a few days with no interruptions and full attention to the boys 'cues' and maybe we'll be successful!! Good luck

Hi AM! Things are going really well here in tt-land. We have had a good weekend at home, she has had far more "hits" than misses in the wee dept, and the poos are getting there. We haven't put any nappies or pull up on her since she woke up on Saturday morning and I took her straight to the bathroom and she went to the potty. We didn't do the ritual throwing out of nappies etc that is recommended, they have gone from her sight though. We have a sticker chart and she has had a couple of jelly beans (literally two) with the poos - but she isn't really interested in the rewards it seems. The book has been great, just putting it all into place for us and giving us a framework. Dh has been so good with G - he really is her Main Man on the weekends. He is so calm and patient, and it has been really beneficial for all of us to have this time at home together. We usually run around like chooks all weekend so just hanging out at home is a real change.
Can you tell how obsessed I have been about this?
We all went out to the local plaza to get the groceries etc late this afternoon and we had a couple of dashes to the toilets but she "did a wee but nothing came out". At least we know where they are and that they are fine!
Need any more details on what we've been up to??
Hope you are all fine!

QC - so you are TT at night time too? I still need to do night TT.. I think she didn't want to do it during winter but when it gets warmer I will TT her at night... Sounds G is doing well.. keep up the work!

AM - Yes its monkey mania.. they had free rides and all at crossroads so went but like line up is 1/2hr.. so she got to go to the tea cup and jumping castle.. and I was like ok that's it.. spent enough time lining up.. entry prices are reasonable so will def get a yr membership.. wil make the most of the playcentre when baby2 comes out.. something for Chelsea to look fwd to..

Did the nursery room on the weekend.. so pleased that its done.. but formal room still has too much stuff there to be cleaned up, but one section is Chelsea's play section which she loves...

Having a ultra sound 2mrw to see if baby2's cysts on the brain has dissapeared - :fingerscrossed:. Then have the endo and midwife afterwards.. so gonna have fun sitting waiting for appts. At least have the whole day off work! Yay!!

 Hi all

AZ How is Miss Lucy? Good Luck with the preschool hunting.I'm undecided if I'm going to send Charli next year or not, she keeps asking if she can go, lol.

Sabby Love the pic of Chelsea! Charli loves having frizzy braid hair too. The other night she was running back and forth across the lounge room with her hair out saying "mum, dad, watch my hair blow!" Maybe I should buy her a wind machine!
:fingerscrossed: For your u/s, I hope all is well.

QC Sounds like the TT is going well. Still to scared to do nights here yet!

Well, little Will had his 6 week check today and he's a perfect little ball of baby :bee: He weighs 4.7kg already!! Charli didn't weigh that until she was nearly 3 months, lol.
He had his first lot of needles today too poor little chicken :( I made my mum get the whooping cough vax too hehehe. She got a black jellybean for being brave, lol. Charli got a whole wee wee jar full and a bunch of stickers. No wonder she loves going to the Dr!

We went to Hunter Valley Gardens on the weekend which was lovely. It was their birthday so lots of free rides and Dora was there too. Charli was very excited to meet her and got some great photos! Will be back to post some soon.

Great photos Shell - no wonder Will is scared of Dora, who wouldn't be in their right mind! Looks like you had a lovely day up there! I was wondering if the rides were a regular feature - though I know the nursery rhyme garden is - I think G and her next up niece would love love love all those nursery rhyme figures though they are a little spooky too!
All is well with us. G is going great guns with the toilet training. Nights are a bit of an issue but we're on Night 4 so I can't complain really! I thought we'd cracked it last night with picking her up and putting her on the loo before we went to bed but when she woke up in the morning she wet her bed just having a play before calling out to us. I think if she came into our bed I'd have been a bit less courageous with the Zero Nappy approach.
Yes, my parents had the whooping cough vaccine too, as did we for that matter! I'm glad your Mum got a jelly bean too. My doc doesn't do the jelly beans at all - if she did G would adore her!

Well Ladies had the scan yday and the cysts has dissapeared! Oh soooo happy and relieved... and definately still a GIRL - LOL! Got to see her face so clearly and I'm just in awwwhh and so inlove with her already! She looks like DH I think..

AZ - No my GD test came back normal.. so relieved... all results are becoming positive now so happy again! I understand how you feel typing with bub on your arm.. used to do that with Chelsea.

QC - Chelsea jumps in our bed in the middle of the night so when I started to TT her at night I would ask her to go to the toilet first but she would just scream because she just wanted to go back to sleep.. So will see if she is ready for it after her bday..

CM - need to check your pics when I get home.. Chelsea loves Dora, so buying Dora gift/lolly bags for her bday this yr.. making it as the theme. Wow excellent weight gain for William!

This baby is only measuring at 1.7kgs.. probably she will be smaller than Chelsea.. Chelsea was only 2.9kgs when she was born..

Shajbm - welcome back!

Nanay - so nice to hear fr you! Enjoy your holiday and that's suberb news about the new daycare.. hope Braden will enjoy it there better.

Went to my parents house for dinner last night and just before we're about to go home I asked Chelsea to fix all the toys she played with, she did it but then she found a purple texta and drew a massive line on the carpet! My parents just had the carpets layed a yr ago so its pretty brand new still.. I was so shocked and embarrassed, so DH and I was trying to scrub it off for 1/2 an hr.. oh she was in so much trouble, Daddy was not happy at all. So this morning when taking her to the carer - she goes "No drawing on the floor or wall, only on paper - that's naughty".. oh that was cute. But she should know as I have said that to her so many times never ever write on anything unless its on a paper.. :hair: I think DH has really drilled it on to her never to do that again...

Sabby - meant to say Yay to the cysts having gone from bub - what a relief that must be for you. Sorry to hear about the texta incident, they like to "test the waters" eh? I can imagine G doing something like that with a texta - we only go to crayons and pencils here til she's a bit older, though she does love the textas at anyone elses place. Oh yeah, and with the size of your little one, I have always found the measurements that you get so off the mark, with both my bubs I got the whole "Gee you're having a big baby" from the ultrasound and both of them were bang in the middle of the graph on arrival.
Shbjm - good to see you back! The more the merrier!! How are your boys all going? You will have to update your signature now our little ones are all nearly three!
Nanay - great news about the childcare, that must be a relief too.
We are fine. The tt-ing is going well. I hope she gets over the having to sit on the loo for ages for no reason phenomena soon. Actually I've just banned her from the toilet for a while as she was playing with the toilet brush and creating all sorts of havoc whilst I was changing Toby before his nap. The potty isn't as fascinating for her even though its in the same room. I am just so pleased not to be dealing with her nappies at all, and we haven't had any bed accidents for a couple of nights now. Though I have ordered some lovely brollysheets for her which should arrive in a few days - (waterproof draw sheets) - I am sure they will be handy to have on the bed for the next little while, and for when we are away for the night. Or, heaven help us, if someone asks her over to stay without us!
So, apart from all that todays other big news is that one of my mothers group friends is sending her daughter to Genevieve's preschool and they will be in the same "class" as they are both going to be 2 Day children. I am so pleased - I love both the Mum and the girl! I'm pleased I'll have a ready-made Mummy friend there!! I'm glad there was a spot for them as they only applied a few months ago. Oh how exciting it will be for Genevieve when she goes off to preschool!! And for me too for that matter!!

How are you guys?

We are well! Lucy has been sleeping for the last 2hrs and I have been doing some clothes sorting! Just sat down for a rest and I bet she will be up any minute!

QC, I am trying to start WW again, but I am so hungry! I think I need some extra points. I am trying to stick to it, but if I need to eat some more I am going too. I'll prob still lose a bit each week doing that. I don't want to stuff up my milk supply either.

Sabby, how are you going? How many weeks are you now? I wonder if you will pop at 37wks again. Exciting!

Shell, how are you guys coping?

Kylie, Hi! hehe, how is your little fam?

Nanay, great to hear that you got daycare sorted.

Welcome back sha! (sorry I forget the order of the other letters! :p)

I can't believe how quickly Lucy is growing up! 5 weeks now and she doesn't seem like a newborn anymore. Went too quickly! Z is such a good big sister. Very very very (Did I say VERY!) affectionate, which annoys poor lucy sometimes!

Anyway she is up! As I guessed...talk soon ladies xxx

AZ - they don't recommend you start up ww again until your bub is 6 weeks old - I didn't start properly with Toby-tob until he was 3 months old. I was being careful and the weight was going slowly but I need the discipline of the meetings/weigh-ins. Plus I wanted to give myself a bit of relaxed eating time - between ww and being pg there weren't too many opportunities for soft cheeses!
We've been okay. G has had an awful cough so I took her in to the Doc's today. It seems that yes she is sick but that there isn't any point her taking antibiotics. So, she was in bed early tonight and hopefully she will be further on the mend tomorrow - today she was so much better than yesterday.
Oh yes, you will laugh at this - today she told me that I should have another baby, as "Toby isn't a baby anymore" and that she'd like a sister next time!
We had an impromptu visit from one of dh's uni friends from the UK (well, they studied in the uk - the friend is actually from Korea) - it was great to meet him. Luckily I had the ingredients in the house to pull together a reasonable meal, its been touch and go around here in the food dept lately!
Eek, just realised the time!
Back again soon I'm sure!

AZ - nurture yourself please, its so hard when the new bub is so new. The weight will wait! Yes, I started being more careful food wise when T was 6 weeks old too. I'm not even going to mention here what I need to lose to get to healthy - suffice to say I didn't get there before falling pg with Toby.
G is still napping - I should get her up soon. She is a lot better but still not 100%.

QC - good to hear G had a big nap, she def needs it being unwell.
CM - will need to look at the pics when I get home. Damn FB!
AZ - I'm doing fine.. you know waddling along all the time now.. I'm 32 weeks! Oh not long to go I guess.. hope she stays cooking for at least another 5-6 weeks.. I am hoping to pop at late 37 weeks.. I really would prefer a Nov baby or very early dec baby.
I've gain 13 kilo's so far and a whoping 1.5kg's in one week! I put on total of 16 kg's with Chelsea - I think this one I will put on 19 kg's.

I told DH last wk that I would like to try for a 3rd one as I really want a boy, but he is adament he only wants 2 as doesnt want to have 3 girls.. then reminded me on the weekend when I ironed my mat clothes 'Aren't you glad this would be the last time you have to wear these clothes'. I was like not if we will try for # 3... he just replied and said I would have to find another husband if I want 3 kids! BOO HOO!!! :crying:

Hopefully he changes his mind in a year or two..

Bad news with one of the preggy gal here at work - she gave birth at 24 weeks, bub is only 680grams and has 40% chance survival and 20% chance of brain damage.. but bubba boy is a fighter so hopefully things will be ok..

Oh, it makes me treasure my overdue babies! I hope you are feeling ok. You never know, you might be able to convince your dh for a 3rd - but if he only wants a boy then perhaps it isn't worth it. The weight will wait!

Sorry, had to laugh at this comment!! I didn't know you were a poet!! However, on a serious note, I do agree with QC, it does seem a tad too soon to be worrying about your weight/exercise, but how about doing daily walks and just being mindful about what you eat rather than worry what the scales say?? Especially since you're still BF-ing.

Kylie, Hi! hehe, how is your little fam?

This is sad to read, but bear in mind that medical technology has advanced quite well in the last few years (on a multiples forum, I know of triplets who were born at 24 weeks however not all of them are 100% healthy even now six months later) so I wish your work colleague all the best... It's going to be a roller coaster ride for her. Just support her where you can - have you heard of Miracle Babies?? There's a website and they can give support for your work colleague, if they aren't doing so already. As for you, you have passed that mark, and into the 3rd trimester, so you can TRY to relax. :hugs:

We've spent the last few weeks house-searching!! Looking for a house with 4 bed, 2 bath as our current 3 bed 1 bath situation is hmm, shall I say, getting a tad crowded here! Not sure where we'll go though, we've looked at established houses with 4 bedrooms, and home/land packages and price wise seems quite similar so am considering where to buy a block of land nearby or not!! So we have some major decisions to make soon!

We are all well - Hayden's still our dominating twin, while Jake just follows... If we had just Andrew and Jake life will be blissful!! But of course Hayden just always seems to make life a little harder and so it's difficult to keep one step ahead of him sometimes! :flowerz:

Beautiful photos Sabby!! Its all baby there!!
I was with Shell with the all-over baby effect!!
AM - yay for house hunting - sounds like fun, kind-of! I love looking at houses, what a Sydney past-time eh? You do need something a tad bigger with all those boys! You need your own bathroom at least.
On the subject of that sort of thing, dh and I have been talking about getting the plans done for our extension. I think if we get the whole thing approved we can take it in stages. First thing will be the lounge room and back verandah, then eventually we'll go up - a couple more bedrooms etc. Have been giving some serious thought to baby 3 - I think dh is just waiting for the green light! Too funny when you think of it like that. And if we do have another bub we will need another room or two before too long!
Bought G some more scarves for her dress up box today! They are such versatile things for little kids - hats, skirts, capes - you name it!
Both the kids are having their recovery naps after playgroup this morning. I am so glad they both sleep at the same time in the arvos.

Me again!
Just a quick one to say that Genevieve has her preschool orientation sessions tomorrow and tuesday!! She is going to be so excited! Every time we drive near the place she announces that her school is over there.
She has also taken up saying that she is three (hmm) and has been practising holding up 3 fingers after watching one of her friends have difficulties doing this on her actual birthday. She also tells us that she will be having two birthday parties - one in London with her friends there, and one in February! She's right though, she will have two parties!
Oh, I do love my little girl, even if she drives me to distraction half the time!

CM - you are too nice - cosmo pic's! Hahahahaha! I might try kmart next time because snap fish is really good but I have no photo books to do atm.. waiting for bub to arrive and will do one for bub then.

Got low blood pressure so took monday off and tried to rest as much as I could but just end up doing her lollies bag for her bday and also giveaways (I made a colouring book and 24 texta) will take a pic when I can and post it.

Did you find your DD's start talking gibirish or baby talk before your 2nd bub's came? She's does funny talk and not sure why she is doing it.. either fr watching mickey mouse or as the carer said bec she is sensing a new baby is coming and she starting to act like one????

Hello Sabby - how good to be having a date - my dear it is well overdue!! I think with the language thing it must be a stage kids go through, G is making up her own words at the moment, and really likes it when I talk nonsense with her, rhyming words and such like that don't make sense in the context I'm using them. I remember my nephew went through that kind of thing when he was about 4 - just playing with language.
Genevieve's play sessions at preschool went really well. She had a great time. I took her on Mon, and Dh took her yesterday. On mon when we'd been there about half an hour she turned around to me and said "I'll give you a goodbye hug and kiss" (which is what she says and does at the creche at the gym) - she was suprised when I said I'm staying! So I think she'll be okay next year!! She will find it a very long day - she was completely exhausted after a couple of hours there, but she will have a ball I think.
She is carrying on like a pork chop right this minute as she is meant to be going to sleep. One day she'll realise how good it is to go to sleep without a carry-on!
Hope you're all well!

Then 2mrw night have a halloween party to go to after doing trick or treating around our streets. She will be a princess as usual! She would be too scared to dress up in halloween theme. I will just wear a witch hat and bought DH vampire fangs.. should be fun!

Sabby great pics!! I love the one of Guy touching your belly, lol the look on his face! And how nice of him to let you push in, if he wasn't already your idol I bet he would be now! Looks like you and your little princess had fun trick or treating! Charlotte went to a halloween party on Saturday night as a lady beetle and William was a baby shrek, lol. I got the BEST photo of him, will be back to post it later, its so funny!

Had a huge weekend, swimming and halloween party on Saturday and then we went to Kids Day Out at the Uni here and then to our nephew's 2nd birthday party yesterday. We had a lot of fun though, Charli loved seeing Roary at KDO but it was sooooo hot!

Gotta go get our cupcakes out the oven!

Hello hello hello!
Sabby - once again, great photos! Looks like you had a great time at the beach and that halloween was a hoot too. Next time you are coming to Brighton let me know, we are seriously just down the road!
CM I hear you about the two children! I think it does get easier, at least it did for us! Listen to me, Toby is only 8 months old this week!! What fun to see Roary - we love him in our house. I think Big Chris is my fave though.
We had a good weekend. One of the cousins had a little halloween afternoon party as her Dad is Irish and right into the whole thing, set up apples on strings and bobbing for apples. it was fun - just the cousins and a couple of neighbourhood children and their parents.
Yesterday we went to our nearest pool for a swim with the kids and it was great. It was the first time Toby had actually been right in - he sat on the edge when we were on hols up the coast. He loved it really, which was good. G realised that she can swim (still!) and had a great old time kicking around in the water.
Today we had our first afternoon with our Mothers Help. One of dh's colleagues has a 19 year old daughter who is driving her mad not doing anything - so it is a win-win situation! She is a really nice young woman - and she got on like a house on fire with G! I got to take T to the Doc's without G for a change, such a relief just to leave the house with one child. So, I think she will come and help a couple of afternoons a week - and she is worth every cent!
So, that is us up to date. Oh yeah, and I got to do a bit of shopping this afternoon - 2 new pairs of sandals and a new pair of shoes!! Yay!!

Hey all been MIA lately too busy with the NZ trip, organising Shauns christening and Bradens Bday too...
NZ was great did not want to leave ... the boys were great on the plane ride Shaun just slept the whole way there and back and Braden watched Transformers both ways!!!
I'm very happy that the countdown has started for the boys to go to the other day care center. The other week when i picked the boys up the assistant happily told me that Shaun was being grabby and looked like he wanted the afternoon tea the older kids were having ... so they gave him a tiny peice...it was hot cross buns...i basically told them i was not happy and told them why and they kept insisting that it was just a tiny peice..i told them what if he is allergic to any of the ingredients blah blah blah..and then the gall of them to say that I was making her feel bad! Last week braden had an infection on his bit so DH said that it would be better for me to drive down at lunch time to apply the cream as he does not trust them to do so..well i got there and he was lying down almost sleeping and when i pulled his pants down i noticed it was damp and so was his shirt i asked the room leader and she just said oh yeah they were doing water play before...I cracked it, i changed him after putting the cream then called the owner to tell her needless to say i had apologies up to my ears when i picked them up that arvo...not good enough!

Anyways on a happy note..Braden has been a songster lately and great with memory. He named the balls to match the player when we were playing mini golf in NZ and we did not even tell him whose ball was whose. Shaun's commando crawling now so cant leave him in one place and expect him to be there anymore.

QC - I was thinking of you on our way to the beach because we went pass your suburb.. was thinking how lucky you are that you are so close to the beach.. Chelsea would love to live with you.. seriously everyday she always asking us if we are going to the beach.. she just cant get enough of it! Will text you next time.. pls pm me your mob #.

Nanay - your boys are soo cute.. I can see the filo on them.. Pity about there childcare.. hope the new one will be much much better.

Cm - sounds like we had a similar day on sat day last week...

Went to Sansouci Boat club yday overlooking the water view for Melb Cup lunch shouted by our solicitor at work. It was so nice and I enjoyed the meals - yummo! But the 40 degree temp was so HOT! Took 2 hrs to get back home as terrible accident in M5 and traffic was crawling! Thank goodness I was not busting to go to the toilet.

Well 34 weeks today, 2 weeks and 2 days of work to go - it's nice to look fwd to resting time.

I was watching one of my fav show pack to the rafters and at the end when he said his vows I cried and Chelsea goes "Oh mommy are you ok".. it was soo cute!

I'm glad they were so good for you on the flight!

QC so jealous of your Mother's Helper! I want! hehe. They had the apples on strings etc at the halloween party we went to too, so nice to see some traditional party games!

Sabby Your Cup lunch sounded great! Pity about the traffic though.

so QUIET here!! Where's everyone!!

Well its 2am and I cannot go back to sleep. The beaut of pregnancy.. Seen the ob the other day and confirmed bub is not engaged yet but definitely head down... which is a relieved as I still have till next wk of work to last.. I really thought she was engaged and will give birth soon.. getting very painful Braxton Hicks that I cannot distinguish if it is labour pains.. Well I'm only 35 wks so she is not fully cooked yet so no ready to give birth yet.

CM lovely pics - sooo cute!

Well have Chelsea's bday party this Sunday, she is surely excited.. she's going to have 3 bday cakes all up, One at the party, 2nd cake at her carer on Monday which is her bday date then monday night her 3rd bday cake for just the 3 of us celebration.. Man she'll be all caked out!!

Sabby - seeing the time of your post I was sure that Charlize was making an early appearance and you were announcing you were in labour!! I hope she stays put for a few more weeks, you are right she isn't ready to meet the outside world just yet!
I just realised its ages since I was last here!
Nanay - great photos, looked like you had a great trip.
CM - great photos there too. Sounds like Miss Charlotte is leading you a merry dance - like the rest of our nearly three year olds! Is she booked into kindy for next year? G is so looking forward to it!
AZ - how are things going with your two beautiful maidens?
AM - what about all your boys? Have you found a new house yet??

All is well here. We picked up Toby's passport form today, we booked our tickets yesterday for our trip to the UK, we are going on the 27th of December, back on the 24 of January. Dh has been in a rotten mood since booking the tickets, I think its a combination of emotions and too much work cr@p going on. I am doing my best to get him to smile, its so rare that he gets in a bad mood it throws me completely. Genevieve is fine, still the mixed up bundle of emotions wrapped in the extremely cute package that a 2 year old is! So temperamental, so bossy, so funny and so lovely!
She is meant to be sleeping but is coughing away in there. Fingers crossed she does actually have a nap, she really needs it.

aarrgghh! going insane here! charlotte has turned into a right little monster!!:hair:

lol, not really, I think its because my mum and dad have gone away and she usually has a sleepover once a week there. She's probably bored.

You probably saw on facebook that she has painted herself and the courtyard twice now  The first time she was making hand feet and tummy prints, yesteray she was painting her boogie board! I was so mad but she thought she was doing the right thing by doing it by herself because I was feeding the baby :o

It was pretty funny though :D

This morning she had a mega tanty because I wouldn't let her have lollies. She doesn't even like lollies, she always spits them out. So anyway she made such a scene that the neighbours came to see what was going on :o:laughing: My lovely neighbour managed to talk her out of it, she felt so bad for me, lol.

I'm usually pretty good at calming her out of a tantrum, I get her a cold drink of water and make her 'blow her angries away' and then try and distract her with something but this morning I was nursing william and it just wasn't happening!

Phew!

Sorry about the 'me' post, just needed to get it out!!!

Hope you're all well xx

Shell - sounds like the Princess is being just a little put out by the Prince at the moment. Lord to the tantrums, I feel your pain! Three is the New Two apparently - so there'll be no changes, mores the pity. I think I would die if my neighbours came in to find out what was happening, at least they helped divert her! Take care my dear, it is hard sometimes.

14-11-2009, 13:10
Ahhh, tantrums - don't you just hate them?? Especially if it's for no real reason other than attention 95% of the time! For us, the terrible two's are nearly over, then it's on to the Cheeky Three's, then the Fr*cking Fours, then its the Fantastic Fives - only because they're at school 5 days a week :p

Happy Birthday to Chelsea for Monday, she does have a few parties planned!! Hope she enjoys them :flowerz:

Well, we have the asthma/croup curse running through the house once again so have been dealing with this all week  Sooo tiring!! DH is starting to work even longer hours too, in the lead up to Christmas, so I am not getting as much help from him, I feel like a single mother sometimes!!

I might go and catch a few zzz's while everyone's sleeping if i can. AJ is even asleep too - I just checked on him and I'm shocked he fell asleep! Still have the house to clean up and dinner to make but DH will just have to understand that I have other priorities!! This includes time on FB and Bubhub hehehe ;)

Sabby
17-11-2009, 14:27
Am - For sure FB and BH is a priority! LOL! Hope things gets better with the ashtma/croupe.. I do agree with you with the cheeky 3!

CM - Hope Charli has been behaving herself this past few days.. Chelsea has new tantrums as well where she just cries and cries and can last up to 2 hrs!! And most of the time she is just making the crying noise. NO matter what we do, say, threat works.. she just calms down when she is ready but just so annoying what she's doing! Hopefully its just a phase!

QC - Oh new yr @ UK. Lucky you another holiday!

Well Chelsea's 3rd bday party went well. 1st party @ Lollipopland on Sunday was great, she loved it with all the activities there etc. Then yday her actual bday, she had a cake @ her carer's and had a Mickey Mouse theme. Then last night DH made some food to celebrate her bday as a family. Just had my sis and her kids over to blow and share her icrecream cake. So overall she is super happy. She will be stoked when we get home as got DH to buy the Mickey Mouse Medical Kit fr Target and Mickey Mouse Plush.. Oh cant wait to see her face..

Well I'm 36 wks preggy, 3 days left of work (less 1 day 2mrw that I'm chucking a sickie to wrap all the xmas presents)! So excited, hoping bub waits for another wk before deciding to make an appearance. But having very bad low back period like pains... hmmm.. Getting very very bad BH all the time too..

Sabby - I'm so glad Chelsea had a great birthday! Our 1st 3 year old!! She looked very pleased with her dvd's, lol. My parents have bought Charli the same Dora scooter but I think it is for xmas.

I've started organising Charli's party, the theme is The Fairies. She wants a Harmony and Rhapsody cake so I'm going to make one of those cakes where you stick a doll in the top and I've bought Harmony and Rhapsody candles from coles  I also ordered invites, loot bags and a table cloth from the fairies website :D

William is getting soooo big! He's a butter ball, lol. He's a good boy though :bee:

Charlotte is sleeping at my parents tonight, she's been slightly better behaved the last couple of days, although last night she woke up and had a bit of a tantrum because she wanted William to come and sleep in her bed, lol.

Well sabby, I hope you get to have a bit of a relax between finishing work and little Charlize's arrival!! Not long now, you must be so excited!

Hope everyone is good! xxx

Sabby - congratulations to you, you are now the Mum of a three year old!!! It seems like Chelsea celebrated in style - all those parties!!
CM - glad to hear that Charli has stopped redecorating your courtyard! You are so lucky that she goes to your parents place one night a week - its very kind of them to do that for you! G still hasn't had a night away from us apart from when I had Toby. No-one's volunteering to take her, mores the pity. Sounds like William is going well too.
AM - hope that the kids are all feeling better, and that the build up to Christmas with dh's work isn't too draining for you.
We are fine. I took the forms in for Toby's passport today - he looks soooo cute in his pic. I need to book our accommodation for Abu Dhabi, I can't wait for our first taste of the Middle East - even if its only 4 nights altogether. Genevieve is already talking about her London Friends and English Cousins - when I talk to her sometimes it so easy to forget that she is still only two.
On the subject of tantrums and screaming and crying she's got that sorted. The fuss she turns on about things - and I mean almost anything - would be hilarious if you weren't her Mum! I hear you Sabby on the two hour crying jag - G can keep it up too! She truly is the little girl with the little curl right in the middle of her forehead, when she is good she is very very good but when she is bad she is horrid. Can't wait for the plane trip(s), not!!

CharlisMummy
18-11-2009, 19:29
QC I don't even want to imagine what a flight to England would be like with Charlotte :dizzy::laughing:
I bet G will have a blast though!

I picked up William's hand and foot impressions today, they're framed with his birth certificate and a photo, I'm so happy with it! I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get the matching certto Charlotte's - I got her the Australian Flora one and was hoping to get Will the Fauna one but they stopped making it :( so we went with the Sydney Harbour one and it looks fantastic :)

Any baby yet Sabby?? lol

Sabby
19-11-2009, 14:52
NO baby yet.. I'm hoping she will cook for another wk so I can enjoy abit of rest time at least. But knowing my luck she would probably come on time of late and by that time I will be going insane then!

CM - You are so lucky she has her g/parents taking her once a week. I'm with QC no one will volunteer to take Chelsea... Oh well!
Charli's party sounds like you've got the organising under control...
Williams hand and foot pic frame sounds great!

QC - I have a cousin living in Abu dabi at the moment. Her husband is working there so her and her 2.5 yr old boy and 2 months old twins are there. I've heard nice things about the place.. wow can't believe how much your kids have travel.. they have probably travelled to far more places than I have! LOL!

Well figured out about the crying tantrums.. another child in her carer who is 4 yrs old does it and she has been hanging around her more lately and has picked up this BAD habit.. so the carer has tried seperating them a bit (ie sleep times) so Chelsea doesnt pick up the bad habits. When she woke up this morning she wanted her usual cereal chocolate balls (bad mummy I know) so I had it ready on the kitchen bench but she still insisted I grab the cereal container.. and bec I wouldnt do what she wanted she started crying.. that was it I lost it and went off my nuts at her for crying again so early in the morning.. I think she snapped out of it real quick and realised that I dont put up with crying tantrums so she can get her way.. hell no! So hopefully she gets over this phase otherwise I will go nuts with a newborn and a 3 yr old crying! And I'll end up :crying:

Took a day off work yday and managed to finished wrapping ALL the xmas presents that took me 5 hrs to complete!! It was so tiring but so relieved that it was done. Now I can focus on other house duties when I go on mat leave.. Cant believe I have 1 more day of work to go after today.. Going to miss work with the social interaction but I know I will enjoy spending quality time with my princesses..

CharlisMummy

Gosh you're organised Sabby! But I guess thats good with bub on the way :D
Don't worry, charlotte has chocolate balls for breakfast to some days or sometimes she has them mixed with sultana bran and cornflakes with a banana on top :barf:

I'm finding I lose my temper a lot quicker with 2 kids now :( It's really hard!! I know she just wants attention but she doesn't need to carry on so much. aarrgghh! But she is really good with him though, she always brings me a clean nappy and does his bath and plays with him all the time (some times a little too rough, lol) She's just a good girl who does naughty things!

My boys always ask for Coco Rocks most mornings so nope you're not a bad mum!! Geee, I think Chelsea is going through a tantrum stage - she's just testing you! Let's hope that the phase is over once your bubba comes.

Five hours to wrap Christmas presents!! I'd better not leave it till Christmas eve to wrap them then!! Been really unorganised and have not even bought a single Christmas gift for anyone yet!

Today was Hayden and Jake's birthday. I had been tossing up over having a picnic party in a park somewhere, or a pool party but my mum cracked at the mention of a pool and said she wouldn't come (grr). In the end we had lunch at home here and although it was very very hot today it all went OK. Just had simple breadrolls with a cold meat platter and salads and everyone had a good time despite the heat.

Hayden and Jake are now 3yo! DH and I just spent the last hour or so, going through their baby photos. It was amazing/shocking that DH couldn't recognise who was who in the early pics though... But it was good to take a trip down memory lane - and I only updated their album 3 months ago! Must add the birthday ones soon, not leave it sooo long between updates LOL.

Hope your little kiddielets are coping OK in this heat - at least tomorrow will be cooler :flowerz:

Belated Happy Birthday Hayden and Jake! Glad to hear there party went well.

CM - I feel for you loosing your patience.. I think its understandable.. I will be doing the same most likely once the 2nd one is out.. I'm already at that stage with Chelsea now with just 1 child.. lol!

Well we had a nice day at pools yday, hardly anyone was there as it wasnt super hot. But the water was heated so Chelsea has a great time swimming. I think she loved the most was the time we spent together. I think she was confused in the morning why I wasnt at work and Daddy was... LOL! Loving maternity leave.

Well I will be 37 weeks soon and really hoping bub will come by this friday or weekend. Doubt it though as she is not engaged and in posterior position! Yikes! So trying my best for her to turn to the right position so I wont have a long and very hard labour.

K got to go and make my healthy soupy lunch. I'm starving!

Happy Birthday Hayden and Jake!!! Glad the party went well despite the heat! :sunshine: Its lovely going through the early photos isnt it?

Sabby - Hope Miss Charlize arrives soon for you! William was posterior, he wasn't but then he turned while I was in the delivery suite! I kept saying to DH that something felt different, it wasn't this painful with Charlotte and the middies just kept saying 'oh every labour is different :ecomcity:' HA! I knew! lol.
DH said it was SO bizzare seeing him come out face up, eyes wide open and he did a big projectile vomit that went straight up!

Just doing some party organising, I'm looking up game ideas for 3 year olds with a Fairy theme, lol. I'm thinking of just having a treasure hunt in the yard for those chocolate gold coins and maybe pin the wings on the fairy. She'd probably bash everyone up if we tried pass the parcel or musical chairs! We're having it at my mum and dads so there's the pool as well and the cubby house so should be plenty to amuse them all!

Hope everyone is well!

CM - great idea having the party at your parents where the pool is - keep the guests cool down with this heat.

AZ - Your so sweet - read your post at dec09 thread that u seeing how I am going..

Well I'm still pregnant and now 38 wks and 1 day pregnant.. Now feeling overdue compared to chelsea!!! LOL!! Will get the stretch and sweep on Sunday next middie visit and hopefully labour will start quickly fr then. But this bubba is bloody too comfy and just wants to stay in! Well just making the most of being baby free in the meantime and spending as much time as I can with Chelsea. Basicly taking her to the pools, beach and shopping.. she is loving it!

Well hopefully get to hear fr others on this thread...

Finally some new posts, lol

Sabby, I thought for sure you'd have had bubby by now!! Oh well, enjoy the special time with Chelsea while you can!

We're all good here, William is sooo funny! He is so happy and very very smiley! :D He just laughs at everything, especially Charli, lol

We had a fantastic day at Taronga Zoo yesterday, we fed the giraffe's and had a pic with them, its really good, I'll come back and post some when I get a chance :)

We also got a special behind the scenes tour of the free flight bird show, I went to primary school with the girl who presents it, so she took us back and showed us how it runs, it was really good and we got to meet all the birds and pet them and Charli got to play with the rats from the show (sounds gross but they were really quite cute! She fed them sunflower seeds and live worms, lol. She's fearless!)

We also shared our lunch with a mummy peacock and her babies, they weren't scared at all, the mum even ate some bread out DH's mouth!!! I got it on video too, lol, will be putting it on Facey later :D

The baby elephant Luk Chai is gorgeous :bee: I could have watched him all day!

Hope every one is good :D:D

How are you all?? Sorry I haven't posted in ages, no excuses, just slack!

Sabby, enjoy having just Chelsea while you can :) Having no2 is awsome but I feel like I never get to spend much time with Zara, I feel so mean sometimes. So I have been making an effort to do her things while Lucy is asleep and forgetting about the housework for a bit. Also once the baby is here, Chelsea will seem HUGE! I mean like a giant. hehe. I got a bit teary about it when Lou was born and Z's feet seemed so big now and her legs were huge...compared to a tiny teeny baby that is

happybirthday Jake & Hayden! Hope they had a lovely day.

And happybirthday Chelsea! :smiliedance:

Sorry they are very very belated!

Shell, the Zoo sounds awsome! We have a yearly pass but have never done anything like you did. How cool! William sounds so cute...hehe.

nanay, hope your family is feeling better now!

Are you moving to Sydney to be with the majority of the dec mums?? I bet you are! hehe..Gotta warn you that we are HOPELESS at meeting up...hehe

Zara got bitten by some mosquitos last night and she woke up saying she can't walk. Well I thought she was faking it but once I bribed her with lollies and she still wouldn't walk, I took her to the DR. Well she has a Cellulose infection from the bites. Her leg is twice the size of the other leg! And she has a temp and is whingy whingy. So she is on AB's and resting on the couch today.

Its her Aloha party next week so hopefully she will be better!

What parties have you all planned?

Gotta run now as Z is alternating between singing itsy bitsy spider and screaming "my leg is huuuurting!" and Lucy is about to wake up!

Hi everyone!!!!!!! I read all the time, and will try to post more :o

Parties...hmm.. for bradens it GI Joe themed because daddy and him as so in to it..i think DH spent at least $300 the past 3 months alone on action figures and vehicles! Little does he know that the double ups are going in the goodie bags! hehehe...

The boys seem better but I'm starting to get crook. Been taking cold and flu drinks to keep it at bay but im feeling it..hope it stays off me though.

im online because im trying to upload lots of photos to bigw photo website, just found out today they are having 10c special on prints but ends today as well..so been doing that most of the day in between chores of course...

My brother sent me this link of the video he made of the snow dump they had in canada... i think our kids would have loved it but dads would hate it as they have to shovel it out...

Goodness me, a flurry of activity!
Firstly - Sabby - hold tight, the baby will come when she is ready, and not a moment sooner! Both mine were dreadfully late and had various eviction notices served before coming out through the sunroof.
Nanay - great pics, I can't tell you how much G will love looking at that snow tomorrow morning. Whereabouts in Canada?
AZ - sorry to hear about Z's reaction to mozzie bites, how awful.
AM - you will find your dreamhouse, I know it!
We are grand, G is calling herself The Curly Haired Girl after about 50 people calling her this last night at my Dad's 70th (remember I'm over 40!!). A great party! T is singing our song. More news soon I promise!

Wow few posts to catch up now..

Well update - bubba is engaged!!! Yay!! Its actually going to happen.. had bad braxton hicks after the midwife did the s&s but things stopped when I woke up this morning.. how frustrating.. I only have till Dec 13 next yr for mat leave and I want to make sure I'm still on mat leave when she turns 1.. c'mon bubba come out NOW!! The midwife did say I'm not dialated and cervix is not soft yet so we've been told to do lots of sex!

Well in the upside got another quality day spending time with princess Chelsea and being baby free with all this heat wave today!

QC - more news?? baby news??
Nanay - I think you're news is that you might move to Canada ha?
AZ - hope Z enjoys her Aloha party.. That was chelsea's theme for her 1st bday.
CM - glad to hear u all had a great time in the zoo.
AM - You will find the dream house, I always believe in that saying whats meant to be will be.

Pls send me labour vibes that it happens this week!

Ha Sabby - what I meant was more details I suppose. No baby news here apart from that of Toby, who is doing the Wave Out to his mates these days, and sitting up by himself as of yesterday (at least that I know of!!) He is still Commando Man around the place though when he gets into the crawl position now he adds a "bunny hop" which is funny to watch if it didnt seem like he was trying to stand up unassisted!!
Hope you were able to relax somewhere cool today - another hot one here eh?

AZ is zara's leg better yet? poor little thing! and I agree about them looking like giants when bub arrives!! I was so used to Charlotte being this little pixie and now she is like a grown up next to william - very sad!

Nanay - great pics! Love the video too, I wish I lived where it snowed, although DH would probably hate to have to shovel it all the time, lol.

QC - thats so cute 'the curly haired girl' :D

Sabby - You must be so excited! I hope she makes her entrance soon! go and get sexing!:laughing:

We've got Charlotte's birthday party this Saturday :D the theme is The Fairies. We're having it at mum and dads because they have a pool and not doing any games, just having a treasure hunt for "fairy gold" lol. I've just got a heap of chocolate coins!
I'm a bit nervous about the cake, she wanted a Harmony & Rhapsody cake so I'm doing one with a fairy doll in the top - wish me luck!!

Here's our pic from the zoo

Feeding the Giraffe's (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/photo.php?pid=4391257&id=664659045) its a photo of the photo so a bit fuzzy, lol.

Oh and I got pooped on big time this morning!! I was holding William up with his head on my shoulder and he did a big explosion which shot straight out the leg hole like a hose!!! It went all over my top and shorts - and I mean ALL OVER, lol. We're at mums today too, so I had to pinch some of her clothes, lol. Babies :D

Crikey CM I don't miss newborn poo-namis at all. Though I have to say Toby can still pack a mean load, it just doesn't shoot out anymore!
We are fine. Just in from dinner out and I think the children are both asleep, but you can never be sure with Miss G! She is such a card these days. This morning I had the pips with everyone and I was saying so in the car, esp about Dh, and she said "Don't do that Mummy, he's a beautiful man". I had to stop mid-sentence and change my tack entirely - she is right! She is also doing the "Goodbye hug and kiss' when I leave the kids at the creche which is just so much nicer than anything else she used to want to do. T is just Joe Cool about being left but I know that may well change.
Can't believe how close we are to Christmas! My babysitter has volunteered to help me with the wrapping etc, its just a matter of getting organised to do it when the kids are both asleep. Thank goodness Genevieve still has a day nap, she copes without it but its so much nicer for all of us when she does sleep.
We still haven't put up our tree, we do a real one so it doesn't go up to early - but then again we are going straight after Christmas so we should get it up this week. Last year dh cut down the hugest branch of one of our pencil pines, it went to the ceiling in our dining room! I can't imagine getting such a spectacular branch again! We shall see! Soon!!
Hope you are all going well! Funny to think that our little ones are three or turning very soon!

Oh wow QC ... i just had to check how much older Toby is that Shaun as he is standing up all the time now .. crawling and sitting on his own too for a while now...geez now i know what they mean when they say he is a strong boy.

Sabby No..no move to Canada

Shell yes DH would hate having to shovel .. that snow took 3 guys (my 2 brothers and uncle) to shovel as the house it at a corner house so we have to shovel the side bit too.. remember north america is lawsuit mad and if someone slips in your drive way they have the right to sue if you did not clear it..crazy eh?

Sounds like you might have an early walker there Nanay! G was much more mobile than T is - when she got up on all fours she just took off - T is getting around the way he wants to, and fast enough! I miss just being able to put him down and knowing he'd be in the same spot a little while later!
Genevieve is in bed and doing the call-out for her Dad - continuously it seems but we are chosing to ignore her at this precise moment. So dull when she carries on like a pork chop. No wonder the kids aren't in the same room yet! Though perhaps that would force her to be quiet at least! T is still in our room, the little doll that he is!
AZ you are right, it is scary that the little ones are turning 3! G told me today that she needs a party! She knows she is getting 2!!

QC - I get that EVERY night when I put the boys to bed - I call them the 'delaying tactics' ... they always need to go to toilet one more time, need a drink, want to read another book, want medicine, want cuddle, want night light on, want night light off, want teddy, iggle piggle, hot wheels car etc... it is constant and very trying because it can take an hour or more after lights off before they are finally asleep. so 9pm or 9.30pm most nights.

Here are some pics of their birthday - I know it was two weeks ago but I'm only just loading them on photo bucket today:
our new scooters (http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/andrewsmum_2006/100_0445.jpg)
you call that a birthday cake?? (http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/andrewsmum_2006/100_0452.jpg)

And I'm trying to get a photo of the boys to put on our Christmas card - but think perhaps I should just keep trying some more until I get one I like...

AM - now that you've just described the bed time routine with H and J, I feel like Genevieve would be a walk in the park for you - all similar types of rubbish but only the one kid. We were wondering if we were making G medicine dependant - she gets a dose of Calm occasionally which can help - I think its more of a circuit breaker than anything else. Your photos are lovely. Even the Really Smiling one! You have beautiful boys, thats for sure!
We are thinking about getting G a scooter for her birthday too! I know she'd love it, and lord knows we need another ride-on toy around here!!
Today we went down to the Bay for a swim which was just lovely. G ran off into the water as soon as she could, and dh followed her quick-smart! She is very water confident. She keeps talking about swimming lessons - makes me think I should get her into a class again when we get back from England. I want to get T into a class when G is in preschool - I know he'd love it!
Tomorrow we have Dad's actual birthday - we are having a picnic in Centennial Park in the late afternoon with most of my siblings etc. We are going to go and have a swim with my parents in the morning which will be fun.
Trust all is going well with all of you!!

i still cant believe it was three years ago that all our little ones came into the world!

my boys are doing well
they are the best of friends now which is great
they are always playing together and are never apart

keiran was taking Rylan on friday nights and Zeke on saturday with Rylan but Zeke was fretting so much that they both only go together now!

im so glad they are friends though it makes things so much easier!

I could say the same about your boys Kellie!! My goodness, Rylan looks sooo grown up!! Where did his red hair go? I love your boys blue eyes - so cute! It's great that Rylan and Zeke love to play together, it does make things somewhat easier when they can entertain themselves. We do get the occasional fights over a toy etc, but for the most part, they play well together.

How do you keep your grass sooo green in this weather?? Jealous of you there, ours has dried up and gone brown

Went to carols at our local park last night. It went well. DH had a work function thing so it was just me and the boys. They enjoyed the fireworks. Only bad thing was when I lost Andrew!! I panicked! Luckily he wasn't too far away, he'd found a friend he knew from school and was playing with him - he didn't realise the fuss he'd caused!!

This morning we had to deal with an accident to Hayden, he was coming inside from the garage when the wind blew the door shut trapping his pinky finger :( It's all bruised around and under the fingernail and we thought it was broken as we couldn't get him to settle despite panadol and icepacks but after a phone call to Health Direct it alleviated our fears and helped us treat him at home. He's OK, we got the finger taped up and he's certainly enjoying the extra attention from us!

Boys asleep at 10pm tonight - both had to do 'poos' after their lights off at 8.30pm!! And yep both H&J did it in the toilet!!! Yay!! but took 15 mins or so each so it stretched their bedtimes sooo late. I kept asking, are you finished yet? their responses were always, no, more coming!

I'm off work tomorrow, luckily... as we're going to watch Andrew's school concert! So maybe DH and I can treat ourselves to a lunch out (no kids) so that's a little something to look forward to after the concert. Can't wait.

All is well here. Braved the shops with both the kids this morning and did some successful shopping, thank goodness. Dh is now going to get something for Christmas!! G actually asked to see Santa today but I think we will do it tomorrow with Dh, as we do the family shots!! At least thats what we did when G was almost 1, and we like the concept! Not much going on here, just getting ready for Charlotte's birthday tomorrow :yelclap: I'm baking her a TinkerBell cake at the moment, its taking forever!! Its another dolly varden cake, I made a fairy one for her party last week and I wasn't 100% happy with it so I hope this one looks better!

Her party was wonderful, it was a pool party at my parents and we had perfect weather for it, all the kids had a blast in the pool and they loved the little treasure hunt we set up for after the cake - DH scattered gold coin choccies all over the backyard. They have a great backyard, it very bushy with lots of paths and they've just made a "Secret Garden" for Charlotte so the kids had a great time exploring!

We're taking her to the Christmas Lights at The Hunter Valley Gardens tomorrow night for her birthday, hopefully the weather improves!

Hello!
Firstly I must say congrats and I am Thinking Pink for you Kellie!!
We are home from the hospital with two sleeping kidlets. Genevieve is on an asthma medication regime for the next few days but I am so pleased that she is so much better. What a 24hrs+ we have had! Yesterday she woke up with incessant coughing at 4.30am, and basically stayed awake til 9.30 last night. We drove dh into work at 9am and she then vomited in the car, so luckily I had a full change for her, and decided then and there to take her to the Drs. Mum arranged an appt with not-our-usual Dr, closer to where we were - and I turned around and drove back to dh's work (we seriously had gone around a big block!) and left Toby with him. Raced over to the Dr's with a now wheezy child in my arms, and the Dr sent us straight down the road to Sydney Children's Hospital. After most of the afternoon in the emergency dept being medicated every 30 minutes we realised that Genevieve would need to stay in overnight. By this time my parents had come to the hospital (and I got out of there for half an hour and got some food) then left us again, and Dh arrived with Toby at about 5pm. So, I took Toby home and my Mum looked after him whilst I went back to the hospital with clean clothes and some food for dh. Dh stayed the night - he is better at going back to sleep than I am. I left them at about 10.30, after G had had her chest xray (asleep mind you!). Toby and I had a good nights sleep and headed back to the hosp this morning. Luckily there was nothing else lurking in G's chest apart from a viral infection. She was pretty fed up this morning, and full of beans! They had had an alright night, G was very upset to be woken up to have the ventalin, which must've been distressing for Dh, but she has no memory of being woken up in the night. Just as well, she was screaming the place down apparently. She was so tired again when we were leaving the hospital - quite hysterical but it only took her about 3 minutes (of hell) before she fell asleep. Fingers crossed she stays that way til 4 and the next medication.
AM Hope the Santa pics go well! We didn't even get them taken last year, queued up and G chucked a wobbly so we left it at that. She keeps talking about them this year, so we should get them done eh?
Happy Birthday to Charlotte - hope you all have a lovely day and the Christmas lights are a lot of fun!
I think I should go and have a lie down whilst its quiet around here!

QC, what an ordeal you went through with little G... I seriously hope that she's getting better now, and that she'll accept her meds... if she doesn't, did they show you how to pin her down so she cries and gets, or breathe, the meds in?

No doubt you are all tired, enjoy getting the sleep while you can.

Kinda watching Carols in the Domain but after the Wiggles and Santa appearance I have lost interest LOL...

Santa photos, hmm, both boys screamed once they were put on his lap... managed to bribe them by saying if you look up, and smile for the camera Santa will give you these chocolates... After that, I got a pic that had two kids (AJ and Hayden) looking OK, Jake semi-scared but at least not screaming... So this will be added to the scrapbooking challenge I am doing of yearly Santa pics since AJ was born.

I'm done with my Christmas shopping!! Yay - finished them all off today... Now to wrap these gifts - where's the wrapping presents fairy LOL...

QC Poor little G :( isn't it just awful when they are unwell, especially when the hospital is involved. Hopefully she is doing much better now :)

AM Would love to see the santa photo! We managed to get a lovely one, except the photographer had to wait until charli had finished "CCCHHHEEESSSEEE-ing" to take a pic because she just looks scary when she does it, lol. I have a special Santa photo scrapbook too, it starts with charli's santa photo at 4 days old :)

Kellie Congratulations!! What a surprise! I'll think pink for you too, but I'm sure you wont care either way :)

Well Charlotte had a lovely birthday and was very spoiled as usual! The lights were good but so so crowded! You seriously had to just be swept along the path, no stopping! I did have to break free at one point and find a patch of grass to sit and feed William, we looked a bit like a live xmas scene, lol.

I'll come back with our santa photo and a pic of the TinkerBell cake :)

We did the usual lunch with my family, dinner with DH's with both families doing the turkey and roast vegies, and pudding  but this year it was nicer for some reason... I got spoilt with a trip to Melbourne!! Airfares, accommodation, babysitting all taken care of! I've never been there LOL... been told to save my pennies for some serious shopping!! Can't wait - it's in March.

Wishing you all the best for 2010 - one wish on my wishlist for 2010 is to get my boys 100% toilet trained day and night... then it'd be bliss!!

Happy New Year everyone..hope you had a great holiday season!
The boys loved christmas day when we went down to the beach and braden got a bodyboard from DHs aunt...Shaun loved the beach equally both the water and the sand...
100% night and day toilet trained would be great then i'd only have to buy one kind of nappy instead of three (two for braden a pull up for day trips and a regular one for nights as its cheaper). Im looking at buying those sheets that go on top of the bed that will hold like 1.5L of liquid so if he does get accidents in the night dont have to strip the bed unless he does it when he jumps on ours! 5 out of 7 nights he wakes up dry anyways.
Here are some pics from bday and chrissy.

Sorry havent post for a while as internet time is limited and Dec 09 thread is keeping me busy and will post there when I can.

Chelsea said the sadest thing for me last night - 'I dont want my sister anymore" I was shocked when she said it.. I think she has realised how much time Charlize is taking from me. Overall she has been a great big sister. Gentle with her but I do feel bad as I want to spend more time with her but it's been hard. Lucky enough DH is still on hols fr work for another week but hopefully I cope when he goes back to work next wk.. I'm struggling today as Charlize has been so unsettled past 2 days. Not sleeping well day or night..

Charlize is 3 weeks old now, eats like a pig. I'm doing BF and also formula. She's been pretty good sleeper until 2 days ago.. hope she is not wanting the bad habit of being cuddled to sleep.. I am making sure we dont do the same mistakes we did with Chelsea and rock her to sleep and pick her up at drop off a hat when she cried.

Really need to TT CK1 at night but with a newborn its abit too hard.. might wait for another couple of months and hopefully CK2 will be more settled by then.

AZ - hope your comp get fixed soon. Bubhub mobile is so hard to do posts..

Nanay - how much are those sheets you are talking about and where do you buy them? Like the pic's too!

Am - glad to hear you got spoilt been taken to Melb and babysitters too!!

kazandsteve - goodluck with TTC and hope 2010 brings luck and give you another bubba.

CharlisMummy - loving all the pics and video clips on FB. Esp the one of Charli 'I didnt ask for a slide, I only wanted a teddy bear'- too cute! She's and excellent swimmer too.. She seems way more advance than chelsea too with the swimming.

QC - I'm presuming you are still in England or Dubai atm. Hope you are enjoying your holiday and have a safe trip back home.

Well DH and I are watching Avatar this friday and taking CK2 in the cinema with us and hope she sleeps the whole time. Then CK1 will be in the other cinema watching Alvin 2 with m-i-l.. hope everything works out with our movie plan.

Ok gtg as having my sis and her family over for dinner. DH made beef caserole - yum!

I did come in here and post the other day, but it seems to have disappeared!! Oh well, I don't even remember what I said! Probably something about christmas, lol.

Sabby - I hope Charlize settles back down for you soon, its so hard at first isn't it trying to divide your time between both!
Hope all goes well with the movie day! I haven't taken Charlotte to the movies yet, was thinking about taking her to Princess and the Frog but I just don't think she'd sit there for that long!

AM - What a great present with the holiday!

QC - Hope you're enjoying your OS trip, have been looking at u=your pics on facebook :)

Well, we had a great xmas, we all got spoiled especially the kids
DH got sick the day before my birthday so I ws really bummed and stressed out trying to look after 3 "babies" lol, but he woke up well on the day (then had to go out and pick up my present :laughing: luckily it was a good one, a voucher for some pampering at the salon down the road :) which he was supposed to pick up the day before. men.)

Hi!! Long time no see

Well, I've been wondering how QC is going?? Probably stranded in the UK, freezing cold with ice and snow... Brrrr... hopefully her kids are coping OK with the chill :snow:

Sabby - I think you are doing wonderfully managing both kiddies - just use Charlize's sleeping times (well, she's a newborn they are supposed to sleep a lot) to bond with Chelsea, so play a game, do some drawings etc, she will appreciate her mummy time. Also, try and get her involved with fetching you a clean nappy, the wipes box, the pillow for feeding and turn on the TV for her to watch while you BF etc. This way you make sure you include her and Charlize too. Charlize is probably going through a growth spurt if she's unsettled. Don't worry about TT Chels, it can wait. There are more important things to do!! Like focusing on Chelsea's and Charlize's needs.

How was your movie trip?? Been thinking about taking kids to see Planet 51 but too worried about them sitting still and being quiet for the entire time

Nanay, great pics!! I have Ben 10 enthusiastics here too! But they got Thomas scooters though!

Happy Birthday Shell, lucky you got spoilt with the beauty pampering treatment, did he offer to babysit while you go to that??

Hope the rest of you are all OK, we've been busy as it's school holidays and I've been working a fair bit too. Hopefully things will ease up and we'll get to spend some family time together before school returns.
