I just want to have a whinge.. DD has started sleeping on her side, and we've had major leaks (grrr). She's been really sick, and last night, in addition to everything else, I had to totally change her and the sheets (whilst she cried/screamed the whole time). Does anyone else have this problem? I've got her in a bbh fitted and cover tonight, so I'm hoping it'll catch it all (cross fingers)

Hi Flutie!
What kind of nappy is she normally in overnight? Are you using a wool cover?
My favourite nighttime combo is a Sandman with a BBH wool cover over the top. Most nights I don't even need a cover because the outside of the nappy is dry.

What is the fit like with the Iish Fly?Fits well. I really like it. (Thanks to trin007 for showing me one, 'cause that is what encouraged me to buy it.)
tiera3 had you meant to buy the ********* with skull and crossbones? Or did you want the plain pink? Maybe the place yopu got them will swap them over if they aren't washed.'twas my mistake. I didn't look at the photo closely enough. I thought it had smily faces on it, not smily skull'n'crossbones.
I bought them as part of a closing-down-sale through ebay, so I doubt they would be swapable, and even if they were, then their are additional postage costs . My DD1 is telling me that cutsy skulls are the fashion at the moment, and she really likes them. She wants me to keep them. I'm just not sure yet, but I'll probably cave to her.

hmm what are Flattery sets? :detective:
tiera - if you don't want the baby legs let me know ;)
I used a bambooty yesterday and it was great! Fitted so well with plenty of room to grow :D dh said he liked it more then the bbh fitted caus they're easier to use - does this mean I have permission/excuse to buy more aio??

I was just thinking that! I googled and found Flattery and the nappies look really nice!

Isn't it great when your other half sees reason and don't object (too much) to more nappy spending!
I asked DP the other night if I can get some more Bonnibuns night nappies when they are stocked and he actually said yes! :smiliedance:
DH counted my stash today :(
I had been telling him we needed more - hah now I don't have a hope

Just put the usual at the end of flattery.
She makes cute shirts that match the nappies, also embroided blankets that match the newborn nappies.
I haven't used them, but heard great things about her nappies.
for all the perth clothies who were asking about soap nuts...
i popped into One Earth in Balcatta today and they are selling soap nuts now! I actually have no idea what they are, but they sell them

Hi JM :goodvibes:
We alternate between wild childs and bbh fitteds, both with a wool cover. I have never had any leakage issues with the wild childs until she slept on her side the other night.. maybe she just weed a waterfall that night:rain:
We also had some leaks during the day (around the same time) with her IB's and Magicalls.. Now that she's better it seems to be ok.
BTW I almost got a IB moo cow.. and I'm glad I didn't now!

Sorry just here for a show off and give a nappy a great rap DS in his babyhosen (http://www.flickr.com/photos/40141932@N03/3693321870/)...very absorbant and very very cute IMHO (just keep it away from velcro MCN which will grab at it and pull the material :geek:)
Ooh that Babyhosen is pretty! :bee:

I'm glad you like the bambooty! i got mine last week but haven't washed yet as the free nappy i got was the wrong one from what i requested! have tried emailling her twice, but no response as i really want to swap to the one i want.
from looking at the med, it does look small. but from the pics on the website, it looks like they're designed to sit super low, which i'm not a huge fan of. if i do get my nappy swapped, i'm going to try and get a large instead!

I got one today and it looks soooo gorgeous and absorbent. DS's bum is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge in it! I posted on another forum asking if anyone had any Sandmans to sell and a lady gave me one of hers AND a WCDN for freeeeeeeeeee!!!!!:yelclap:

Far out! This nappy business is exhausting!
I am still trying to work out what works for us without spending a fortune..
DS is 8 weeks old and a huge wetter and pooer so I really have to be on the ball every three hours if not less.
The small Itti's are proving succesful but got all confused with sizing as alot of your babies are in mediums already...so I got mediums and they gape at the legs and have had leaks and pooplosions everywhere!
So now I only have 2 smalls and all mediums! :o
Hating pockets and hating fitteds with covers, they all just seem to leak and feel damp lately, athough did us proud when he was a new born?
Ordered some BBH and got the wrong type that can't be boosted which is no good for us. Got a GK OSFM, errrr, why does it not fit us!
Twinkle lily thought was good ordered another one, but then had a leak after a 2 hours!
Got a small bubblebubs, fitted for a week, too small, got a medium, too big!
The one thing that IS working is a small BBH minky AIO boosted with a booroi prefold at night! Getting nearly 10 hours out of it. Hooray! :yelclap:
Terrified to buy any other brands or styles but getting frustrated with my small stash!
aaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhh :crying:

beachmum, BG are coming out with their new AIO version in a few weeks, i would try get one of those, maybe they will have a special intro offer? my BG AIO were the only ones that really contained those lovely bf poos. sounds like the itti are either too small (DD didn't fit till she was 4 months old and she has travelled on the 50% percentile for everything so average all over)
don't worry...you will have a eureka moment and then buy up big when you find the perfect nappy :)
and YAY friggen YAY for getting 10 hours overnight in an 8 week old :yelclap:
Me - got my fluffestuff customs today... i am in love, i can't decide if i love the purple or the owl better!! (http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd269/tannakas99/IMG_4832.jpg)

I've had to resort to using the dryer for the last two days because my nappies just aren't getting dry in the few hours of sunshine we get. :(
I changed Alice in the shopping centre parents room the other day and a woman looked over at the nappies and asked what they were (kind of a dumb question if you ask me, it's pretty obvious they are nappies!) and when I told her they were cloth nappies she just said "gross! Haven't you heard of Huggies?". Pfft!

I mean how effin rude!
Sposies and cloth can be as gross as each other when your changing a smelly bum etc.
I had 2 mums who came in together watch me fold a terry flat while Logan lay quietly and I did my whole fold, wipe bum clean, powder on bum, wrestle with wriggly 5 week old, snappi up nappy and put cover on. They commented that the terry looks painful to fold and I would of finished the whole change a lot quicker if I used sposies and I just turned around and gave them a look to sink a ship and they just got all sheepish and left. hehe. If I minded the whole *process* I wouldn't bloody do it!
On a side note I'm becoming a cover freak and I'm buying up on BBH wool covers lately. Does anyone or has anyone ever just used wool covers instead of PUL? I was gonna try it out when I have 6 BBH covers ready to go.

I thought u guys might appreciate this.
I have been using MCN part time with my 4mo DS2, so far i have a decent collection of D'lish's. Because DS2 is already at the 10kg mark, he is in size L, and DS1 fits into them too (not tt). I tried them on him once just to see how they fitted on an older child cos i was not sure i would get the distance out of them, any way now DS1 is insisting on wearing, what calls, "fluffy Bits"
he wants to have 'fluffy bits' like his little brother, i was LOFL when he came out with it, and i dont mind if he wears them, cos it gives me an excuse to buy more :yelclap:
re. the comment from the chick in the public change room, how rude and nieve! unfortunantly she is one of the majority. when i told my close mum friend that i was going to use MCN because with 2 in sposies was costing us a fortune as well as filling up our bin, my friend told me that 1. they are alot of work and that i struggle to keep up with the washing as it is. 2. babies in cloth nappies always smell!!!
oh well if it works for us, what does it matter.:raspberry:

Good use of the :barf: con though :)
It is just so annoying that there are misconceptions about cloth in general, i wish it was more socially acceptable, and readily available and i think i would have done it earlier.
I know a lot of mums and only about 6 use cloth!! and most of them only until bub started solids. I just wish i did it all from the beginning with my first.
Do u guys know if the PBCE is a good place to get good deals on MCN? the melb one isnt till Oct, and i think i have enough of a stash to get me through till then- if its worth the wait??

Well i saw a sandman night nappy i liked tonight, however it is very girly and i mean very girly, so well i said to DH should we try DD who is two in 4 weeks in one of DS to see how she goes over night and if all good i can get the one i have seen that i soooooooooooooooo like as it is the price of 1 box of nappies i use on her for night. I had decided to keep her in the sposies shes in as i get 110 for $15 which are fine during the day not at night as i don't think it is worth by MC's for daytime for her as unless she does a poo at an odd time she only has one change in the morning and one in the afternoon sometimes less if she wants to use the toilet and the fact that even though she is 2 she is only 1 kilo heavier than DS so they are in the same size nappy's now. Well she had it on 5min and did the biggest pooooooooooo  OMG and at 8pm at night so not like her and i hadn't put a liner in so :hair:. But i am happy to say we did put another sandman on her so will se how it goes:smiliedance:

I use them on my DS and they work brilliantly!
He's a rather heavy wetter and they cope very well with his 'output' and suprisingly don't take forever to dry either. The only issue I have is cause he's still mostly BF his poos are more on the liquid side lol and occasionally there's a mild explosion! in saying that though, he wore it last night and did a lovely poo and it contained it all lol

Haha that's my reaction too! I don't know where this theory that cloth nappies smell more comes from! We occasionally use some sposies if we are at my IL's and god the stink from an Aldi sposie after one pee is so offensive!

I usually pay with my creditcard through Paypal so I've not used the actual credit card option, but I'm sure Bonny wouldn't mind if you rang her to sort it out. She's lovely and really helpful! She is pretty focused on her night nappy stocking (I'm allowed to get another one tonight at the stocking! :smiliedance: Thanks DP :p) so might not have noticed your email, or had time to reply. Usually she is really quick to respond to emails.

Is that the westend markets in brisbane? I've been eyeing off her minky's, but I'm cheap and cant really justify the nappies + postage. However if she is at the markets, I may just have to go have a look and accidentally purchase one or two

Hi, just introducing myself...Im from the due feb '10 thread and got a tip from MJ410 to come on over here and check out the info on cloth.
I have lived in Japan for the past 4 1/2 years. Gave birth to DS1 here and was firmly convinced I would use only cloth for him. However they were absolutely awful. A thin tea towel like strip of cotton folded in three layed inside a cover which is not waterproof. Needless to say they leaked on the first or second pee. The leg elastic was not a tight fit so I had newborn poo explosions leaking through layers of clothes many times everyday. I asked around MIL and other Japanese friends convinced I was doing something wrong, but no, apparently I had it right. No wonder no-one I know uses cloth here. Needless to say I gave up.
But after our first pack of dispoables I convinced DH to let me buy some AIO nappies from overseas. He so didnt want to spend any more money on cloth as we had 'wasted' so much on the Japanese ones. So I got some cheap AIO's from ebay. They looked thick and were easy to use - just like pull-ups. However they leaked even worse - almost like there was no absorbant material at all - like he just peed straight through them.
Anyway - that was it for my cloth dream. DS has been in Pampers ever since. Almost no leaks at all. He can wear a nappy all day without a change (with no poo that is) and same for the night. We've never had nappy rash so truthfully they have been a godsend for us compared to the nightmare we went through with our cloth beginning.
Now Im pregnant again and going home to Aust. in 2 days and my dreams of cloth are re-emerging. I have just spent the past hour or so reading all the info you have on the stickies. Thank you very much for that. It's really helped me see how poor the ones I tried were (no wonder they didnt work) and feel confident we can do cloth for this next one.
I have already ordered 2+1 nappies from Bambooty due to the sale thread and the great reviews you all gave in the bambooty thread. I also got 3 Happy Babes one size pockets (still to get the liners) - also thanks to your sale thread. I found a link the other day were a lady has shown the costs of cloth vs disposables that really helped DH get on the cloth wagon - so finding some sale links has really, really made him keen. Thanks again.
Hope to learn a heap more from you lovely ladies, but honestly so far the info has been awesome - I just wish I had of known before. Oh and btw because we are moving and just ran out of our last pampers we got a different brand for the first time, a cheapy one - and DS stunk to high heaven of old pee. It was horrendous - and with my M/S I couldnt go near him. And of course that's from me a sposie user. We went out and got more pampers. Hoping I can fit him in the one size pockets when we get home :-). He's almost TT though so Im not really interested in getting anything specifically for him.
Anyway Thanks again for all the info.
Wendy
BJ is this the point in time that I tell you she's at the west end markets on saturday mornings. They're so lovely and made so well. I'm on a nappy ban atm but will probably get 1 or 2 and some baby legs next saturday. I just can't stop thinking about how beautiful they were and how well made they were.:D
Who's at the West End markets? :detective: I've never been to those markets but might have to drag DP along and give them a look see if there is lovely fluff to fondle!
Welcome Wendy! That's terrible to hear about your first attempts at cloth! :( I really hope with bub #2 you can find some gorgeous MCNs that work! At least now you've found the info you won't have to put up with what passed for cloth nappies in the regular world (as opposed to the MCN addict world! :D).
Kai is gorgeous by the way! (Yep I went and had a gander at your photo albums! :p) And I love your orange wedding dress! So pretty and stylish!

Thanks for the help regarding the credit card payment, bonny saw my post and contacted me back. :)
Newme- Aww really? Your meaning bonny right? It'd be a huge trip for me but worth it, might take some family in for a lovely day trip and take a picnic or something lol.
bubbleandme- I havent tried any bonnibuns nappies yet, have just ordered 2 allinones though to try them out.
Welcome wendy, hope your mcn's work out fabulous for second bub.
Ds has been in mcn over night for about a month now, and in the last week they have been shocking, fluffybubs too big, mm purple nights only last about 3 hours, bbh magicall stuffed with as much as could fit was doing the job up until now and even huggies or snugglers arn't containing his pee anymore. He drenched through every piece of clothing every morning. Whats the go?? lol... Going to try an issybear night nappy 2night and see how it goes.
 I started a bit of a stir. Yes the west end markets on montague rd in brisbane on a saturday morning. Now I'm going to be going there and wondering who else is there too! I'm not sure of the ladies name, but I assume it's Bonny, she is really lovely and didn't mind while I stood there and ummed and arrhed about what I was going to get and how to sneak it in to mums apartment without DH seeing, then I forced myself to walk away because I'm actually on a nappy ban atm so thought I'd better wait til next week and actually consult DH before spending more on nappies.
MM - Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to the proper world of MCN's! You'll be addicted like the rest of us in no time! Have a safe trip home!

I'm a bit confused... Is it bonnibuns or Issybear at the markets?
It's Bonnibuns at the markets. I worked it out when I got an email from Bonny telling me she would post my new night nappy tonight (red dot minkee with black suedecloth inner :bee:) and that she does the West End markets every Saturday and to pop by her stand some time. She used a pic of Alice on the banner at her stand so I'm going to have to take DP along to see so he can be a smug proud dad! :p
DP has actually started showing his Mum all of Alice's new nappies whenever we go over to the IL's. I think that is a big step for someone who hated the idea of cloth just 6 months ago! :D
I must admit I didn't look at the banner(I was too busy looking at the nappies), so i'll have to squizz on saturday so i can see Alice:D
I'd be distracted by the nappies too! Actually I worry that if I go to her stall I may end up buying more nappies!
I wish we had nappies at our markets :(
Teegzie -That's so cool that Alice is on the banner. You'll have to take a photo to show us all.
Welcome Wendy  It's a very addictive hobby, but well worth it!
I got my Baby Bullfrogs today & they are gorgeous! Hope they work as well as they look.
Here's a photo of Chais in his new baby bullfrogs & Cruz in his Lushies.
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk174/kotakai_chais/newnappies-1.jpg
Well Im selling off my nappies that don't work, so want some suggestions of new ones to try. Chais has taken to skulling water all day so is now an even bigger pee machine , so I need something super dooper absorbant.
What's your most absorbant nappy you use that will last around 3 hours preferably as I don't have enough night nappies to put on him when he has his day sleep, so I use day ones?
I prefer AI2's, but happy to hear about other types.
cruz looks slightly stunned in that pic must be the lush nappy :)
I use lots of pocket nappies (my favourite are Rumparooz) but if I know they are going to be on for a long time I swap the microfibre inserts for more absorbant bamboo (of which I have plenty :) )

LOL, he did not want to co operate with my photo taking. He needs to learn that's a big no no
I've had someone else suggest a rumparooz, might have to try 1. Can't find them cheaper than $36 though & don't normally pay that unless it's a WAHM one, not a commercially produced type one.
How long would it normally last you with the booster it comes with? Is your bub a heavy wetter?
kotakai I think you've got a male underwear model in the making there! Chais has the pose perfectly downpat! Love the embroidery.
Hmm, What ones have you found don't work for you, maybe then we can suggest some from there?
How long would it normally last you with the booster it comes with? Is your bub a heavy wetter?
J usually can be big wetter and with the inserts it comes with (it comes with two that snap together in various ways for either girls or boys) the shortest it has lasted was 1 hour and the longest was just short of three hours before we got our first compression leak (didn't help that she was in the Ergo and the compression leak got us both :D)
I love it for the poo containment though as it has extra leg gusset things which are great.
If you have a big wetter I like the Pop In (it is from the UK so again not a cheap option) its inserts are bamboo and you can unpop them and use it as a cover over a flat or prefold as well. She has worn one for 5 hours in the car and it still wasn't soaked. It also has a nite booster (more layers of bamboo) and with that has gone for 81/2 hours overnight. However with the nite booster it got up to $46 I think. So tempted to buy them from a UK site and get my mum to bring them over next month.
Hope you figure it out, I have about 4 or 5 different types now and have traded ones that don't work for us so I think I am narrowing it down for J.
Off to bed now - J is waking three times a night again so need to catch my  when I can.

There are Pop-In nappies at ozbabytrends, not sure if it's what you're looking for, but they're on sale atm

Just letting you girls know I have finally had my baby girl :cloud9:. Her name is Kaitlin Harper, born 11th July , and is hovering around the 3 kg mark at the moment . I have been using my Bubblebub fitteds ( bambams ) with various covers so far and they have been great . They do leak around the leg but the cover catches the mess - so , so far so good .
The small bambooty nappies fit really well - and quite trim - I have them on the bottom row of snaps and there are no gaps around the legs .
When I work out how I will post some pics to show her off !!

I just want to have a whinge because I bought two lots of nappies over two weeks ago now and neither of them have arrived yet - its over $160 worth :banghead:
I keep emailing them and they say they were delayed getting to the PO, but I'm getting really cranky about it. I have to go to our PO Box which is at the back of a shopping centre and its a real PITA to get to and when I make the effort to get in there and there's nothing there its really frustrating. Plus I wanted a friend to try a few out before I have a BBH demo this week and now thats not gonna happen!
Thanks for listening/reading - whinge over!
Does anyone here knowof the secondhand nappy websites?
I now there is buyforbaby but there was another one i am sure of it but i just cant think of the name lol.

monkeysundies there the only two i know:thumbsup:
There is also nappy chic for secondhand nappies. As well as all the nappy specifc forums (google is your friend to find them all :))
Alice has started to check her nappy whenever I say "have you done a poo?" (usually asked because I can smell it! :p) Today she was wearing a Cushie Tushie and went to check and instead of just touching the nappy (she bends forward and grabs the crotch of her nappy) she pulled the whole thing off! Thank god there wasn't actually any poo in there!

New night nappies (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/Teegz/114.jpg)

I'm thinking of dragging DP or my MIL to the Saturday markets to checkout the Bonnibuns stand and maybe spend some of my tax return on some more. :o :D

Well my new bambootys arrives yesterday (1 night nappys 2 easy peasy prints), the night nappy looks really good, just drying it now so I can hopefully use it on dd tonight (or tomorrow night). My other 2 ittis came today too, plus an extra snap in set, so there in the wash now.
I am officially on a nappy ban (well, with the exception of the 3 bbb's I'm buying tomorrow for night nappies and covers for them) for a little while anyway. I'm still going to buy DD some "special" nappies for summer, and christmas time, but I need to wait a few months unfortunately :(

I also am expecting a 2x D'lish ( blue polka dots and a rock melon) + 3x snap in inserts, and 2x BBF Cotton outer AI2. I cant hide much from him though cos the mail goes to his work. He knows about it all, but for him out of site- out of mind.
Im going to a BB demonstration on Friday- so hopefully that will be it for the nappy purchases till PBCE oct.

I got my Baby Bullfrogs via fluffy mail today, and i cant say im loving them. :(
The patterns are great :), but there doesnt seem to be much on the inside, and one of them has a seam between the legs and the pattern doesnt match up. It cant be seen when its on- but i cant return it cos DS1 decided he liked it enough to pee in it when i tried it on him. So i have them in the wash and i will see how they go.
on the upside, my Itti's arrived today too- and im in love all over again.

If your nappy has a seam across the crotch it would have been so the material didn't end up upside down on one side of the nappy. My apples print one is like that so the apples are the right way up on the front and back, so that people can see the pretty fabric properly.
I love my BBF nappies, but I guess different kids need different absorbency etc.
I think Alice has finally out grown her medium Magic-alls. They just don't seem to be working properly any more and the rise at the back isn't high enough. I might get a 6 pack of larges and see how they go. Surely DP can't complain when it is a size issue... :p

What washing powder are you using? I have some second hand nappies that are really grey on the inside..... and I dont know why as mine are still really white!! If you hang it facing the sun it should bleech out.... even if they are drying inside, put them near a window and it has the same effect! ;) :)

Funny you should say that - same thing happened to some of mine this week. I thought it might have been the water (cause DS's bath water looked a bit off colour this week - BEFORE I put him in:D ) but I have been giving him panadol too.....so could be either!
Isn't it funny how nappies have trends? I swear last year I'd never heard of BBF or Abbygros...
When I spoke to Chris from BBF she said she had only been selling nappies for about 6 or so months by then. I guess a lot of WAHMs come along and then some close down so they can focus on family etc. I know there are a lot of nappies that people raved about when I first started with cloth, only to find out the WAHM who made them had closed down. :(
I bit the bullet and put my magic-alls away. I've got enough nappies to see me through until I can get some more (though I'll be washing more often). I'm wondering if I should get some more velcro close nappies because my ILs and even DP find them easier to use. So long as whoever puts the nappy on Alice remembers to put pants over the top so she can't rip the velcro open and take the nappy off!

My Itti's did this when I gave her panadol. That was probably about 7-8 months ago and with washing and sun the grey has disappeared - now I can't even tell which one's were grey. At the time it was a very dark grey and quite noticeable, I thought it would never go away.
When she was fully breast fed and I gave her panadol it would stain the nappies grey - once she started on solids it seemed to have less of an effect.

well, im putting my self on a nappy ban!
I had a BBH Demo today, and well, 4 magic-all multi, 4 bamboo fitted, 2 covers, 5 wipe cloths, 1 bag, 6 boosters and 50 flushable liners later i think my stash is complete enough for a while- and my bank account will thank me. There were only 3 colors in stock to choose from in the Muti- fit's which sucked but i dont want to wait 2 months for them to restock. having 2 in nappies full time i have justified buying more than i would so they def wont go to waist, and i keep reminding my self that there is always baby no3 who will benifite (one day).
I contacted the BBF lady about the seem, cos its not a cotton print that only has one direction. She was great about it, and i have washed them up and they look great- so im starting to feel a bit more positive about them. I think it was the shock of them being so different to the nappies i have been using.
Niks28- try bicarb in the wash- it might help, and if it doesnt help, it wont hurt.
Teegzie- its going to be summer soon, so she will be able to get to her nappy very easily in the warmer months- i would be telling them that they need more practice lol
Kotokai awesome pics! Cruz is adorable - lol did u dress him up specially or just take those photos at change time?
Is it totally tragic if I say I dressed him up specially? DD who is 7 loves taking photos with her camera too, so we'd put 1 nappy on him, take photos, then put the next one on :D It was all done on the floor in front of the heater, so I don't think he minded too much.
Thanks everyone for your tips.... I washed them again and put them in the sun and they have definetley faded now.

Won't really be getting any more sized ones. Have decided with 2 in cloth only 12 months apart, my stash would be best value for me if I just have OSFM's, so have been getting rid of Chais's meds, only a few left to go, then the fun of choosing new ones

Lol by the sounds of it we seem to go through a whole heap more nappies each day than what most of you have mentioned! Ds poops so much that we have ATLEAST 8 TO 10 nappies each day without fail  sometimes many more lol.

I would use at least that many per day....

I used that many a day too! I like changing nappies lots... i think I just want to feel like I got value for money for them so I try to go thru as many as i can (though sometimes I think it's an excuse). Can't wait to do it all over again with the next one (things a bit boring now with DD starting TT)

i think i use about 4 sometimes 5 a day plus night nappy..DD poos once a day or sometimes every 2nd day
from about 2 months until 7 months she was once every couple of days...made for FUN TIMES when it came to changing her nappy!! poosami eeeee!!;)

We only need 4 or 5 a day. DD poos every 2nd day, and we have lots of nappy free time (we do part time EC) I try and change her every 2 hours, but with going out, and the fact that she catnaps a lot, it normally ends up being every 3 hours, or so.
jimmysmummy
19-07-2009, 14:39
Jimmy only poos twice a day, but I like to change him often. He goes through about 8 nappies per day.
Jaspat24
19-07-2009, 17:17
I only use about 4-5 nappies each day and one overnight. I change his nappy if he poos (which is every 2-3 days) and then roughly every 3 hours during the day. I still wash every 2nd day but i could stretch it out to every 3rd day. I've got enough nappies to do this, but don't cos all the care instructions say every 2nd day to ensure the nappy stays 'good' etc.

God it would be useless for me to have MCN atm, DS2 poohs constantly. Terry flats will have to do for a while.

19-07-2009, 19:53
ixnay wouldn't you would have to change DS's nappy just as regularily?
Me - i went to mathildas market today...so many pretty things!! of course i made a beeline to the greenkids stall and had to talk them down to $41 for a minkytime (huckleberry!), the twin bamboo insert and microfiber booster (to make this all into a night nappy) so i got $3.50 off and no postage. felt like saying geeeepers this more expensive than a CGR or flluffybub dream nappy!
embryonichappyperson
19-07-2009, 20:08
Yeah but terry flats are cheaper and easier atm as per price wise and I wouldn't be able to afford enough MCN atm to have a decent rotation. I consider even the most ordinary MCN ie MM hemp a good and decent looking nappy and it would be annoying to have to change every hour.

Ixnay, have you tried that Little Beetle nappy I sent you? I only got to use it on James once or twice and then he grew out of it.

Eep that is pretty expensive. At least you got it a bit cheaper.
I think I'll convince my MIL to go to the West End markets with me this coming Saturday (DP is doing garden stuff with his dad). She gets more excited about nappies than DP anyway so she might not mind me spending ages at the Bonnibuns stall... and any other nappy/baby/kid stuff stalls I can find!

Nope I haven't used it. I tried it a couple of times and it didn't sit right on him. Logan has short lil legs, a long body and a round lil tummy lol like his dad. So I passed it on to a friend who had a nb and it fit him perfectly.

teegzie - the nappy does look really nice though, the minky is really soft...much nicer than the anytimes and funtimes...can't wait to prewash it and try it out tomorrow night
emma - i tried an abbygro night and it didn't suit...she leaked in the middle of the night from the front!

yep, its the bamboo long leg and sleeve sleep suit I got not the sleeping bags...although I was very tempted! Also, I'm getting my 1st soakers & being 2nd hand I thought I'd re lanolise them to be sure. I've never done this before, so can anyone tell me how to do it. I think I've read somewhere you can do it with Lansinoh. Is that right, as I think I still have some of that left from BF?

What about on some of the nappy forums? You don't have to pay anything & you're marketing to the correct people. Good luck, it sounds like a great idea

I hate that :(. We've has some bad weather too. I've been putting them out during the day to try & get whatever UV I can, then in the night I put the shells on the airer & the boosters in the dryer. A's Mummy Lovely stash!:bee:.
I sooooooo badly need to get more fluffy mail, damn bills:rolleyes:. I just go whacked with an almost $800 electricity bill in the same week as getting rates and our gas bill!
I need new night nappies. I was using GK's with a bamboo liner and 2 bamboo inserts, but it's not going to keep lasting for overnight much longer. 11 1/2 hours last night(dd2 still has 2 BF overnight and I do not do nappy changes overnight unless I really have to - it just involves too much waking up!). So I need some recommendations for some good night nappies for a heavy wetter. I'd prefer not to go for a bamboo fitted with cover. DD2 is 4 mths, I'm not too fussed if it's a OSFM or sized option.

Newme- I have a heavy wetting 5 month old (today :D). And I have tried HEAPS of different night nappies, including wild child, fluffy bubs, bonnibuns, krap katchers, but what works best for us is a good old baby behind medium magicall with the insert it come with aswell as a bamboo trifold stuffed in the pocket. I have the new style ones (with the pocket) and some old style ones, which came without a pocket but I just cut a slit on the inside and now they work just the same as the new style. You can pick up the old style ones EXTREMELY cheap (like under $10) second hand. But the new ones arent very expensive either at $25ish. And then a trifold bamboo booster is normally around $8-$10 new. So it works out a very cheap and effective night nappy system.

:iagree: I have sandmans, wool covers and all of the above mentioned but I must admit the easiest night nappy for my 8mo DD who wees like a fountain is the magicall with an extra bamboo tri fold or a GK bamboo hourglass insert! I thought it would be bulky and to hard to put on but it isnt !

OMGosh - I just went to my internet banking to do a couple of transfers for purchases I made over the weekend and check I hadn't missed anyone. Here's what I've got coming:
6 Ittis
2 WCs
1 Abby Gro
1 Nic Nap
1 Trumpet Bum
1 Envoy
2 Blue Berries
3 Magicalls
2 Bubble Bubs
Plus I bought a new Sunshine Tots at the 0-5 Market on Sunday :D

I have never had a leak, and like Kezza said, it sounds bulky but it's amazingly not. Bulkyness is something I try to avoid, because if I combine a bulky nappy with my bubs chubby wubby thighs it's like she is constantly doing the splits!!

I also agree with A'sMummy! BBH Magicall boosted with a trifold works really well for us at night and a much cheaper alternative
Am very jealous hearing about the markets some of you have access too - wish we had some MCN stalls at our markets!
Trin - wow! That's a few nappies. You are going to have fun stalking the postman over the next couple of weeks!
A's Mummy - cute photo's, that cupcake sugarshot is lovely. I am banning myself from nappies until we get some nicer weather and then I'll look at getting a few show-off nappies. Wasted at the moment because it's so cold and the nappy is always covered up. Am a bit wary about size too as my DD has just started walking and seems to be slimming down a bit. She fits her medium itti's but the couple of larges I have always get wing droop or they sag and show off her builders bum! I expected that by about this age (14 months next week) I would be selling off her mediums and getting all new larges. I guess it is good that I don't have too in that I'm saving money - but I was looking forward to having an excuse for buying more nappies!
trin - you still haven't got those ittis yet?
I've just got 3 BBB, and 2 bbh wool covers coming, oh and an ergo (but thats not really fluffy) coming in the mail.
Wish I had an excuse to buy more, but I really don't need many more... Tis a sad day.
Oh well, fingers crossed she will outgrow her medium itti's soon, and I have an excuse to buy more (though I don't like my chances of that happening soon)
I might have to give the magicall another go, they've not been the best fit for dd2 but shes chubbed up a bit the last week or 2 so will try it with a gk hourglass booster(that way i can try it out without buying anything - i'm on a nappy ban:().

That will bring my total up to 50 nappies! And i've made DH promise me $200 from his tax return to put towards more nappies! Have to get some more medium sized nappies soon. DS is still in smalls at 3 1/2 months, but hopefully he'll grow really quick to fit into the mediums!

Nope! Although PB assured me at our little gathering last week that both the sellers were reliable...just a matter of waiting - one is offline for a couple of days so not sure exactly when they were posted, and the other confirmed she'd posted them on Thursday....so hopefully today! Its just such a pain that our PO Box is at the back of the shopping centre and I have to lug DS around with me, so you can imagine how disappointing it is for there to be nothing waiting when I get there!
Its funny - I was going through my PMs to find banking details and I found one message I'd forgotten about paying so I had to make a list to keep track of everything. I only counted the nappies due tho - no the $$$ spent
So hopefully the PO box will be stuffed full over the next couple of days/week/s. :goodvibes:
Then I think I'll have to start moving on some of the smaller stuff and ones we don't use as much.......my turn to return the love
I realy need to get some more nappies now since I just retired 9 medium magic-alls that are too small for Alice.
Alice was just making a big ruckus when she was meant to be napping so I went in to resettle her and was hit by a wall of stink! She had had a poonami and it was all over her cot, sheets, toys and her! :barf: I had only changed her nappy and put her down 5 minutes before! I should have known something was coming from the terrible farts she was doing all afternoon! :p

With the angeltears, I was put off to at first (I was new when all that hooha happened and didn't have anything to do with it), a friend of mine followed through with her order after all the nastiness and was very happy with the result. She even showed it to the maker of {text removed by moderator} who was also impressed. So I figure it is worth a shot. It is soooo hard to get customs these days aswell and she was happy to go ahead with my ideas. She is also very friendly and helpful. She ofcourse in now using nothing but bamboo and PUL etc. What happened to her a few months ago was really quite awful and over the top... I felt really bad for her! I will let you know what I think of them, I should have them in a couple of weeks :)

My Bambooty easy dry nappy arrived yesterday. Its so tiny! i ordered a small cos DS is only 5.15kg and a slow weight gainer and i wanted to try it straight away! Its so trim! if it works well i might consider ordering a couple more in medium size though! got blasted by DH though. My mat leave pay runs out this week and then we're 6 weeks without my pay until i start work again on 19th August. Plus water rates and land rates and power bill have all come in
i'm going on nappy ban (apart from fluffybubs if i can get one) My prob is though that i see you girls post up the specials and i just can't resist. When the rest of my fluffy mail arrives i'll have 50 nappies for one child.

I found that the easy dry looks smaller than the easypeasy. We have Mediums, and they fit missy perfectly with no snaps showing (she is just over 7kg).
trin_007 - Are those all new nappys? or are some from b4b? I'm jealous.
I can't resist, so heres (http://sasha.bayne.com.au/main.php?g2_itemId=193) a picture of DD in her new red Itti and leggings.
And another (http://sasha.bayne.com.au/main.php?g2_itemId=195)
Merla those pics are so gorgeous! Are the leggings Babylegs or *********? I want some for Alice! :p
I am due a pretty big tax return since I only worked a part year last year (my last tax return since I'm now a SAHM :() and since the exchange rate is pretty good at the moment I just placed an order for 6 nappies from Weenotions. :D DP even ok'ed it (it was my tax return so he didn't have to pay for them), but I think that was only so he could justify buying himself some new t-shirts from America.
Merla those pics are so gorgeous! Are the leggings Babylegs or *********? I want some for Alice! :p
There actually happybabe leggings, I picked them up at the zero 2 five markets on Sunday.
I want to get a custom embroided 6 pack for Sasha with my tax return, and suggestions on where I should go looking?
Teegzie - where did you get Alices custom name nappy from?
I want to get a custom embroided 6 pack for Sasha with my tax return, and suggestions on where I should go looking?
For me personally, I wouldn't get 6 from the 1 place unless you've used them & know they work well for her.
A few that do customs are
Genesa Forge
Fluffybubs
Widdlewuns
That's all I can think of at the moment. The name nappies are from Bundles of buns I think & she's not taking any orders at the moment.
The other thing you can do if you like a certain brand but she doesn't do embroidery, is order your material with embroidery from Wrigglebots & get it sent to be made into a nappy.

I'm sad cause I have to sell off my nappies as the twins are TT :crying:
Alice's custom nappy was from Bundle of Buns, but Kristy isn't taking any orders for the next little while so she can have some time off and set up her proper online store. :( I want to get some more once she opens back up again! They are a great fit on Alice, and so cute!
I just ordered a custom nappy for my sister's daughter with her name and a cupcake applique on it from Weenotions. They are based in the UK and the nappy worked out to be 22GBP, which is about AU$45. Not too bad since you end up paying about that for some custom nappies from Aussie WAHMs.
You could always try emailing someone like Chris from Baby Bullfrogs and see if she can do a custom for you. Her nappies are a OSFM, but really trim so not too bulky.
I wish I'd known about the 0 to 5 markets! The next ones aren't until October or something! Although I think there is one in Upper Coomera in August. Maybe I'll just have to head down there. It's only 20-25 mins from our place so wouldn't be too much of an effort. :p
This (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/Teegz/SS-hucckleberrymonsters1.jpg) is one of the nappies I'm getting from Weenotions, only I'm getting mine in citrus slush minkee instead of huckleberry.
Also This (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/Teegz/AI2-jungleanimalsonlime.jpg) with a monkey on the back and tiger and giraffe on the front panel.
And one of these! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/Teegz/AI2-bluepaisleymonster2.jpg)
I'm in love with them! I've also got a red and green minkee one with santa embroidered on it and a black cuddlesoft one with silver stars on the back. :D
I'm sad cause I have to sell off my nappies as the twins are TT :crying:
Oh I'll be devistated when I no longer have an excuse to buy more pretty nappies! Hopefully we'll have at least one more kid so I can justify my excessive buying! :D

Oohh, that is very sad news!!
The other thing you can do if you like a certain brand but she doesn't do embroidery, is order your material with embroidery from Wrigglebots & get it sent to be made into a nappy.
Can you recommend anyone that makes good nappies?

Just a quick question about longies, I am getting my first pair in about a week:smiliedance:
So if I wanted to use them for nights what nappy would you recommend to go under? AI0 or Fitteds? I have no idea, I dont own any fitteds but was thinking of getting some, any suggestions?
TIA

Since wool is waterproof, you may as well use them over fitteds, but if you don't have any, you could just use them as pants over an AIO.
BBH bamboo fitteds are good to start with as a fitted. Others I like are Daysies by Nappy Chappies, or their Sandman for nights.

A quick reminder ... please remember it is against BubHub rules to post information about upcoming stockings.
We kindly ask viewers to NOT post information on when more of a particluar nappy will be available.
That could be construed as 'advertising' for that particular company and to keep everything on a level playing field, we would prefer that this information isn't posted on the board for any cloth nappy product. If other viewers want to know when products are going to be available again, please just advise them to sign up for the company's newsletter so that they get that information emailed to them.
If they want to find a company's website, they can look in our directory on the cloth nappy products page.
This rule is a sticky in the cloth discussion area.

OMG, they are soooo gorgeous! I was looking at the Weenotions website the other night. About how much did you pay in $AU including postage, if you don't mind me asking?
I ended up paying about AU$300 for 6 nappies including postage. I went for the more expensive postage option since it has insurance and tracking (I don't want to risk my nappies getting lost! :p). The postage was 22GBP (the one thing I hate about ordering anything from the UK is the darn expensive postage!). It is based on weight, so if you get less nappies you pay less postage.
Alice has a nasty rash on her vulva that looks kind of like tiny red blisters. :( I'm thinking it might be thrush. I've got a doctors appointment this morning just to get a proper diagnosis so I can get some creams to treat it. Has anyone elses kid here had thrush? Did you have to stop using your MCNs until it healed up? My Mum suggested getting some sposies until it is all cleared, but I really don't like the way sposies affect Alice's skin. Would she be ok in her cloth nappies so long as they are washed and sanitised really well?

Teegzie- My DD had what sounds like something similar to your DD. I have been using a tiny bit of canastan rinse in the wash and applied the brauers nappy rash lotion for a couple of days and that cleared it up fantastically.
Would I need to use liners with the Brauer's lotion? Might need to head to Lincraft anyway and get some microfleece just in case the doc suggests a cream that will stick to the nappies.
I feel so bad for her! It is obviously really itchy and irritating for her! She keeps grabbing at her crotch and trying to scratch it through her nappies. :( I tried some sodi bic in her bath last night after checking some old threads on here and it seems to have helped with the itch. What a lifesaver BH can be!

Teegzie- I find that the brauers is a waterbased lotion rather than a ointment or cream that sticks to nappies. It always comes off in the wash. But just in case, I do use fleece liners when I use it. I have reused the liners over and over and have never found that the brauers lotion has affected them.
Teegzie, I found when DS had a red blistery type rash, I used daktozin, which is for fungal infections & I found this cleared it straight up. It's not good with cloth though so you'd need a liner.
Yay, postie just knocked on my door with my hand dyed Raphael's :smiliedance: I got orange, green & purple. They are so soft & gorgeous, I think I'll have to give them a quick try before I wash them
Has anyone used cloth when your bub got the rotavirus vax? Being a live vax it will come out in their nappies, so I'm not sure what to do. I think I'll use sposies. How long do you think it'll take to be out of his system?
Well the doc agreed that it is most likely a fungal infection like thrush and prescribed Kenacomb ointment for it. I think I'm going to need liners for sure as it has Nystatin in a plastibase, which I think ruins MCNs.
When he asked me what I had been putting on her nappy rashes I told him Sudocrem and he looked relieved and said "so long as I wasn't using zinc based creams!" I don't use them because they would ruin my nappies, but everyone recommended them to me when Alice was born. But the doc seems to think they are too harsh for delicate baby skin.

We were using cloth when Alice had her 6 month immunisations and it didn't even occur to me to swap back to sposies. :o Everything I've read says that it is a "disabled live virus" used, whatever that means. We didn't have any issues with Alice getting gasto type symptoms. I assume that washing and line drying nappies would rid them of any of the virus that came from their poo.
I've heard 2 weeks is the standard time to get rotarix etc out of their system. So maybe switch to sposies for a fortnight if you are worried. :)

 I did no worries i was told it was a live virus and i would be active for 7 days in his poo and to make sure i washed my hands well after each nappy change which i am sure we all do anyway, for poos i normally wash and use hand sanitiser and wees hand sintiser. I used disposable liners on top of polar fleece so i could throw liner away and then just used canisten rinse with the nappies for that week so with my rotation washing every two days most nappies got a rinse with the canistewn and some got 2. we had no problems
Sparrowgal
22-07-2009, 15:37
I didn't even realise that the rotavirus would come out in the poos or cause problems. how silly am I. I guess just standard hygiene precautions with hand washing and hot washes would be the way to go?
I used daktozin as well for DD's thrush and used liners and my nappies are fine. I also did Canesten washes but I had to be careful how much I used, I had to use less than what the bottle says because i started to get irritations around leg elastics and I think it may have been from Canesten that didn't wash out? And I could smell the Canesten in the washes whereas normally my washes smell... well just water washed clean not that smell of laundry powder wash.

Just a quick Q? i bought one Bambooty easy dry nappy and i love it so so much. its a size small and looks so cute and trim on my DS's bum. its almost as trim as a disposable. there's one more snap on either side before he grows out of it and i really wanted to get some more in medium size. My DS is a tall skinny bub.
are the mediums pretty much the same kind of fit?
are the mediums pretty much the same kind of fit?
Yes they are.
I met Amelia today at the Bubhub parenting conference in Melbourne she was doing a special for the conference and so I bought a couple of night nappies and more of those gorgeous face washers. She is sending me the nappies as she didn't have them there. she said she would be at the Sydney conference too (I think it is next month or early Sept). The conference itself was really good more for those with bubs younger than mine (10 mo) but still a lot of info :)

Thanks heaps girls, i've just ordered a one day by style package in medium. DS wore bonds tights today with the easy dry underneath and he loked so so cute. DH thought it was so cute and trim too so he OK'd it for me to buy more. Have decided to get more MCN's with snaps as DH seems to have a problem folding the velcro tabs down onto the laundry tabs.

Leishb, i so hope you did get one; maybe there was more than one in stock up for sale?
I got two! the giraffe and a black dynasty. I'm supposed to be on a nappy ban but bought 8 napies yesterday; i need to hide my laptop for a few weeks and take a total bubhub ban. its so tempting when there are beautiful nappies and great specials.
Just out of interest how well do you ladies find fleece works for daytime nappies as the waterproof layer? I've been looking at getting one of the Genesa Forge nappies, but so far I've only ever used fleece at night and PUL during the day. Alice's night nappy can be quite whiffy by the morning but she is still pretty dry (maybe just a bit of evaporated dampness on her pjs iykwim) so I assume fleece would work well for day nappies, I'm just a bit of a wuss when it comes to trying something new! :o
So do you gals who have GF nappies, or other ones with fleece waterproofing find that they work as well as PUL during the day? Do you get the same amount of time out of your nappies or do you have to change more often?

Woo hooooooooo!!!!! I got my first beautiful fluffy bubs - the little black minky spaceman -
Isn't he gorgeous!!!!
I got a Grape Slushie :D
I love these nappies, there so soft, and well made. Shame there's only a limited number of them.
Jaspat24 - iI was eyeing off the black dynasty, I almost got it as a custom last time.
Teegzie - I'm unable to fold the velcro down, I forget 90% of the time... One of the reasons why I'm trying to stick to snaps whenever possible.
hey clothoholics!
Am tossing up whether to go to the Perth PBC expo- we're going away that weekend so would have to trek there for 10am, feed bub there, carry him around, trek back to leave for our weekend away just after lunch time. Hassle!
Are the nappy specials really that good at the expo? Or do you think I'd get just as good a special at the Nappy Hunt in Sept? (is it Sept?)
Any way of knowing what nappy brands might be at the expo to see if it's worth going???
trin_007
27-07-2009, 11:59
VickiH - closer to the date, you should be able to download a list of exhibitors from the PBC website. Then you will know which clothies will be - if you are really keen, you could always then email them and ask them if they'll tell you what specials are on.
I'm 99.9% sure BBH will be there and they had apx 20-25% off at Brissie Expo. Ittis also had exceptionally great value Expo packs, but they were also available online by 'secret' code for a month after the expo.
There were prob about 6 other clothie stands in Brisbane, some with great specials and clearance items.
HTH.
BBH had a good special at the brizzy expo (if I recall, it was 1magical, 1 fitted, and a cover for $40) so did itti bitti. There were also a bunch of other sellers, offering good trial packs, which was great if you wanted to try some new brands. The best bit was that there's no postage! And you get to see and play with the nappies.
I would go, theres was a good feeding area at ours, and if you have a sling or carrier, its not too bad (I carried DD in the ergo for 5 hours, no problems).
I just got my CGR in the mail today, they are so cute but I dont know if I like the fit as much as I do the Itti's but will give them a go anyway! I got a small and a medium and the medium looks huge!
Teegzie - I was looking at the GF yesterday too and I couldnt figure out all the different options.... Save it for a day when I can get my head around all the diff combos!
Teegzie- I have no idea what my GF has, LOL. I'm ordering another custom, so will ask her what she does.
Yay for those of you who got FB's :smiliedance: I love mine & am hoping to get another one at the next custom stocking.

I love love love my FB nights however my day FB isnt a very good fit on DD. It gapes big time in the legs and the snaps seem to be to far apart to get a good fit round the waist, either to tight or to loose.
I had it on DD for the first time the other day and my friend said it looked like if she had a poo it would just fall straight out! That said, we turned around 15 minutes later and whadya know, both our girls where playing with nuggets that had fallen out the side!! Totally gross! Although funny now!!:p
quick question girls-
never thought about using disposable liners until today (DS has just started solids, and it's gross!) probably will use liners for a few weeks until poos are more solid-like:fingerscrossed:
are all the brands more or less the same? any recommendations on good ones?
cheers!

DS just poos straight through them so i got some fleece from spotlight and use them for liners...the poo washes out of them really easy
I got two FB's - the lavender (which I wanted) and the baby pink (which I bought because it was still there and I missed out on the one I really wanted:o). I REALLY wanted the chocolate spotty one!!!! I have quite a few FBs now. Love them!!!
As for the GFs - they are gorgeous!!! I have a few minky side snappers that are SO luxurious and a night nappy which is fleece - no leaks yet. The night nappy is a small fit though.....DD is 9kg and the medium is almost too small - very low rise.

Well I bit the bullet last night and bought a pack of sposies to use until Alice's rash clears up. :(I forgot how papery and horrible they feel! Even DP commented on how they don't seem as nice since we have been using cloth.
I've put all my nappies through a warm wash with some canesten rince and I think I might strip wash them as well just to have a fully fresh start when we use them again. :fingerscrossed: this rash goes away quickly so I can start using nice proper nappies again!
I think I might get some GF nappies to try. I miss the thrill of getting fluffy mail!

I still have BF poos here, so it's a bit different, but when I use liners (when I've used a barrier cream) I find the liners that I made from microfleece from Spotlight the best. With BF poos the disposable liners don't work - they hold the moisture rather than wick it away - they might work better with solid poos? The Johnson and Johnsons liners look like large chux wipes, and can go through the wash a couple of times if the nappy is just wet. The Woolies home brand are white and more flimsy, but much much cheaper. HTH

Yeah, I agree. I've had Cruz in sposies since his vax's last Thursday, & I hate it! I've also found they get saturated before his cloth does. I just want to put his cloth back on, but since he had his vax, he's been doing horrible gastro like poos & I don't think I'd get the stains out they are that bad  So it'll be sposies for a few more days :(
I got fluffy mail!
Its a red side snapping bubblebubs, but I'm not sure that I like it. Its very soft, but it doesn't fit well, maybe im doing it wrong...

The Johnson and Johnsons liners look like large chux wipes. HTH
These are no longer being made my J&J, they claim that there is not enough of a demand, so if people like them, then stock up cos there is only what stock is on shelves.
I would go flushable so then u can put the whole lot in the loo, and not stink up ur bin- im not sure of a brand though. Or invest in a little squirt.
hope that helps. :)

Alice looks less than impressed with the sposies too! Plus she has to have pants over the top becuase she can whip a sposie off in about 1 second!
She fell over onto her bum today while she was chasing me around the yard and actually cried because she hurt herself. :( If she was in her padded cloth bum it wouldn't have happened!

Aww she is gorgeous! :bee:
It does look a bit awkward on her, but maybe it is just practice with a side snapping nappy.

My beetlebums arrived yesterday, and they are just gorgeous!!!! I'd never seem 1 of these IRL before, but I love how well made they are & they are just the perfect fit for them both. I need more!!!!Cruz is in a small & Chais is in a med.
Here's a pic.

and I know it's not nappy related, (but it's made by a WAHM who uses cloth, does that count ).
I ordered Chais a minky taggy blanket that arrived today & it's so beautiful & soft. Think I need to get one for Cruz also.

kotakai- I have been thinking about buying a taggie blanket too. Can I ask where you got yours from? I love the name sewn on!!!
And you pics of your 2 little fellas in matching beetlebums is gorgeous. They like so soft and lush and a great fit!!
I planned on getting myself some more BBF nappies to bulk out my stash, maybe 6 or so. Today I went and looked at Chris's fabrics while Alice played with her two lovely kids and now I want many more than just 6 nappies! :o Playing with all of her gorgeous minky (ooooh the gelato slushes are to die for! :bee:) and looking at embroidery patterns has made me want so many differnt nappies!
I think Alice is pretty annoyed about having to wear sposies at the moment too! :( She kept eyeing off Chris's kids nappies they were wearing and pulling at her own paper nappy. And then she found a pile of freshly washed nappies and took of with one snuggling it's soft fabric to her face! Poor thing must be missing her soft padded minky bum. :p
kotakai those Beetlebums are lovely! :flowerz:
Thanks for the complements about DD :)
Teegzie - Do you know the maker of Babybullfrogs? I'm thinking of getting some with my tax return, but I'm still undecided...
kotakai - Thats so cute! Your boys matching nappies. Love the colour.
A'sMummy - which CK did you get? I didn't even know she was stocking :(

Merla- I got a yellow one with little princess's on it and I think it says "I'm a princess" on it. It was a tiny random stocking, I think only 4 nappies in total came up for sale. I have a VERY observant friend who knew I wanted one and phoned when she noticed some up for sale :D It was a lovely surprise on my 27th Birthday (man I'm old!) :p
