Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and have 2 darling sons (21mths & 6wks). We will be moving to the Point Cook area in a couple of months and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good GP in the area, especially for the kids.

Finding a good GP when you move is the one thing that annoys me more than packing boxes :hair:!! I did have a good GP in my current area but just found out that he left the clinic a couple of months ago - just when I needed to take my little one to the docs

If you are replying to this thread and live in the area and have any recommendations for good child care centres and/or kinders in the area I would love your feedback as well!

Cheers :)

Hi, AGAIN....

Just replied to your previous thread.

I have had 2 great experiences with 2 Dr.s in Point Cook Super Clinic, they are located within the town centre.

I DO NOT reccomend the medical centre on Dunnings Rd...

Hi
I used to live in Werribee which is the next exit from Point Cook. I live on other side of Melbourne but if I need second opinion on something I drive for an hour just to see Dr Abdallah or Ikladioius. Been seeing them since I was 5 years old. There are no appointments you just walk in in wait but you get an experienced Dr. Their details are: 1 Barber Drv
Hoppers Crossing VIC 3029

Likewise I don't recommend the medical centre on dunnings road, I go to Altona to see my doctor, he's been our family doctor for years, but is really hard to get into.

There is a fantastic bunch of doctors at the Wyndham Village medical centre in tarneit, which is just a short 10 minute drive from Point cook town centre. They are great with kids and i have no issues in taking my 5month old daughter there for anything

:iagree: Dr Shalini Wickramasingh is fantastic, I've been seeing her for about a year and find her to be very compassionate but knowledgeable. I've seen other doctors there from time to time and have found them very good also. Don't have any kids yet (31 weeks pg) but will definitely take bub there.
