cervix drop caused by long term use of pill? Any info?

Hi everyone,
a dear friend of mine has just found out that her cervix has dropped apparently due to long term use of the pill. She was told byher gyno that it is quite common and by altering the pill she is on (now been put on Diane) that this will help. She was having excessive bleedingmid cycle and that's how she knew something wasn't right.

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with this or if you have any positive info about the Diane pill.

That is weird. I had a cervical drop after coming *off* the pill, and it disappears totally during pregnancy.

Apparently the hormones of the pill and pregnancy keep the uterus up high.

I really don't know what to think - I was only on the pill for a few months and I had a drop after coming off it (tiniest uterine prolapse, barely noticeable).

I also had a terrible dry cough for months before that and I was told that had caused the prolapse, and coming off the pill had causes hormonal changes taht stopped the drop being masked.

I hope that makes sense?

I was actually thinking the other night that once I stop having babies, perhaps I should go on the pill in order to stop the prolapse getting worse!
