How long does it really take to loose the weight and get back into your old clothes, and most importantly not have such a jelly belly.

I had 13kg to lose and it took me about a year. I BF for six months and that is supposed to help (didn't seem to for me, even though I was eating well and doing some exercise.) I got back to "normal" about another six months after that - once I returned to the gym and did some more intense exercise and weightlifting. TBH, I don't think my body will be quite the same as before (boobs a bit saggier and belly just a bit looser:o) but it's pretty close.
Noah is nearly 8 months and I still have about 10 kilos I'd like to loose. Was about 66/67kg before preg, put on about 20(!!) when preg, down to about 74/75 now. I do regular exercise but I dont eat as well as I could (a lot of chocolate and biccies I shouldnt be having), I know If I focused on eating better I'd loose it much easier/quicker but I dont want to stress myself with it at this stage. In the early days I lost about 5 kilos rapidly in about 3 weeks and I noticed it affected my milk supply so I dont want to do that again, just want to lose it steadily...Fingers crossed Its by summer! :D
the jelly belly is the worst! omg gravity + jelly belly = me looking like grimace lol.

Well 12 months on and I am about 2 kg above my pre preg weight. Still got that Jelly Belly to lose, im afraid weight loss aint gonna cut it... it needs exercise but im lazy!!
Depends how hard you are willing to work
Normally takes me about 3 months to be at pre preg weight and no jelly belly :) Only by lifting weights can I be nice and toned.

It's a topic we discuss a fair bit here in Japan as Japanese mums are expected to lose the weight within a month of giving birth. And yes they can do it...they also are put on diets during pregnancy if they even look like they will gain more than 9kgs during it, and most are unable to breastfeed without formular top ups for every meal. (they think that is because of their small breast size and have no idea very restrictive diets will lessen their milk - but formular companies sponsor the birth clinics so it's unlikely thats even gunna change).
Anyway looking at info from here, Aust, the UK, the USA and Canada (we all look at what the advice is from back home and compare it). If you wanna lose the weight without having to worry about losing your milk supply then your probably looking at 6-12 months depending on how much you gained.
Remember that with normal heathy weight loss you should be losing no more than 10% of your body weight per month. If you lose more you could put your body into starvation mode, this would be especially bad as a BF'ing mother. If your not BF'ing then 10% is what's healthy. If you are BF'ing diet is not the way to go - of course you should eat healthily but your main source of weight lose should come from exercise.
A lot of mums find that BF'ing helps the weight fall off (I didn't) and there are also a lot of people who find that once the little one is up and running the weight falls off as well. If these dont work for you look at your calorie intake vs your calorie output. And remember there are other ways to exercise other than the gym. Use google or chat to other mums to find what they did. I walked my son on his trike for hours, he loves it and I get the exercise, when he was younger I did some exercises at home that involved him. There are ways to do it if you look - just remember not to overdo it.

with DS1 i gained 25kgs..it took 18mths to lose it all plus a extra 7kgs, so ended up below my prepreg weight.
with DS2 i gained 27kgs..ive lost 22kgs of that in 5 months, and am just fitting back into my prepreg clothes, but will be happy to see the last 5kgs go!

I really think it is an individual thing.
I was 83kg before i fell pg, got down to 70kg by thirteen weeks (i was in hosp with hyperemesis), my highest weight before ds was born was 93kg. Two days after birht i weighed myself and i was 82kg. So technically i was back to pre-pg weight.
I have since lost more and am now down to 67kg, but still have a jelly-belly. LOL
I have been bigger my whole life so even though I am now happy with my weight, i am unhappy with the loose skin that i can't seem to do anything about!!!

i dont think there is a proper answer cos all women are different.
there are lots of things to take into accoune
1) your weight before you got pregnant, and how fit you were
2) did you exercise and eat good in poregnancy
3) your diet and exercise after baby born
4) remember it takes 9 months to be fully pregnant so realistically it should take about that time to get back to normal
5) depends also on genetics and age
Some women never loose the jelly belly, it depends really on ur diet and exercise, unless ur really lucky n have good genes.

With DD I gained at least 25kg and lost all but 5kg when she was 6 months old. With DS I gained around 20kg and still have 9kg to lose - he is 5 months old. I really need to start going to the gym more regularly - I think this will be the only way I can get rid of this weight. This time around the weight has not fallen off. I hardly ate last pregnancy but still gained quite a bit....
I am quite flabby at the moment - not toned at all. I am hoping by DS first birthday or even late spring that I will be well on the way to losing the weight....even 5kg would be great!!!!!
I need to organise myself a bit better and start planning meals and eating better. I am just grabbing things when I can at the moment and not eating the right things. Exercise is the key :)
