My son is 17 months old and whilst everybody tells me to enjoy I can't help but worry about my sons sleeping,
He goes to sleep between 7-7:30pm and usually wakes between 7-7:30am he sleeps right through, he doesn't usually wake unless he is teething or sick.

But the last 3 days he has had naps during the day lasting 5 or more hours, today he slept for over 6 hours and I had to wake him up as he was obviously not going to himself.

Is this normal? Could he be going through A spurt and that is why he is sleeping so much ? or could something serious be wrong with him

Iron levels maybe? After three days of it i would get him checked out.

Its not normal and i would be very concerned and worried, i would get him checked ASAP.

Growth sput, is he eatting more too? Normally they sleep more but 6 hours is half the day, i havent heard of a toddler sleeping that long, could he be getting sick? any infections? Does he eat well?

:hugs:

Oh no now I am panicking :(
I asked my mum and she said not to worry but after these responses will be taking him to the GP first thing in the morning.
Thanks girls :)

Kayla - Kaiden has an extremely big appetite regardless so he eats plenty through out the day about 5 times a day, which doesn't seemed to had changed.

Apart from the sleeping he is fine, no signs of sickness no temps so I'm just unsure.

He was asleep more then he was awake today, as much as I enjoyed the break to me it seems a little worrying so will def get him checked. thanks again girls.
