Hi there im jsut wondering if anyone would know how you can tell if your baby is lactose intolerant..

Im thinking my DD might be as she Doesnt keep her S26 down all that well.

She use to be on S26 Alfa Pro then MCHN told us to change it cause she was spitting up nearly the whole bottle after a few months of being on it.

so we put her on the normal S26 still did the same so told the MCHN and she then put her on S26 AR for refulx made her twice as bad..

So put her back on to the normal S26 and still does it..

MCHN checked out the valve that can close but wasnt that..

So now im starting to wonder if she is lactose intolerant.

What do you all think..

Also a Sister In-law said talk to MCHN about goats milk as that can help with nearly losing the whole bottle.

What do you think about it...

I would try another formula for one ... Many babies cant tolerate S-26 for one plus you really do need more than bubs just being spewy to wonder whether there is an issue.

I would suggest going to a HA these are a partly broken down formula which are often gentler on their tummies ... There is Nan HA & Karicare HA, the Nan seems to be the 'better' one.

Bubs also wont be LI as this is a condition present from birth which means a baby cant tolerate normal formula at all & would be very very ill ...

I would advise you to have a read of THIS (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=249252) & THIS (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?p=3634205#post3634205) as they through a few things & then have the links to various things that will be helpful for you to read.

Usually if there is an issue with formula its due to the protiens its just sadly many seem to assume its a lactose issue when it isnt.
