I have a 9month old DS and has just recently been really hard to get him to bed of a night time. He has always been so good (until now). Twice now, when it's gone on long enough I've left his lamp on and he's gone to sleep- is it possible for a 9month old to suddenly get scared of the dark? And has anyone experienced anything of the sort?

yep Emmy seemed to be scared of the dark from about 10 months, we have to leave the lamp on all night now.

ahh i hope they're safety lamps!

When i was little i turned a lamp on in the morning, went to school came home and saw that it was still on, diddle-daddled around the house for a few more hours then i started to smell smoke and sure enough the lamp had caught on fire, so my mum rushed in to put it out.

So that's when the new lamp rule took place.

Aren't there any over-powerful strong night lights you can use?
I really don't trust lamps...
