Shettles Theory

Just wondering if anyone has had success in following the Shettles Theory in relation to the conception of a girl? Those with girls do you recall if you conceived having bd'd a few days before O?
Don't know whether to continue with a 3 day cut off before O as to date have had no success!

I was charting with DD#2 and we were only bding when I had my LH surge, so really it was on Oday or right before.

I went with Shettles book and have been told bubba's a girl, but won't post it till I've held ?her? in my arms...;)

hi all,
i went by the shettles method with DD2- to have another girl- and had a girl. next we had DS ( fell pregnant within weeks of a MC, so he wasnt any method!)
having read all the information in shettles book this was in the back of my mind when we decided to have this baby (due feb) there was no charting or diets but i can say while i wasnt "strict" about the timing i was more "into it" when i knew i was a couple of days before the big O - yes i want another girl lol- but to be fair to DH, who would really like another boy, i didnt make too much of a big deal about it...and while im hoping for another girl i know i cant be sure...which is a nice feeling too.
so now i am waiting on the scan that will be the tell all ... i only have to get DH to agree to find out!;)

The first time we weren't actively ttc but the theory proved true anyway - we had one occasion where we weren't careful early in my cycle, thinking it was too early and wouldn't matter....I just happened to ovulate early that month as well. So we bd'd about day 8 and I o'd about day 11. Hello DD :D

This time we were actively ttc and wanting a boy. We bd'd on the day of ovulation only, not before and we're having a boy.

I think the method works much better with people who have regular cycles and who are charting so can determine with some degree of accuracy when they're o'ing.
