Seems that we are starting to get some babies that need entertaining ALL THE TIME
I thought we could share our creative ideas here so that when we are stumped for an idew - we know where to come .

It has been REALLY hot here so I tied ribbons to a fan and DD LOVES to look at them.. Keeps her busy and I can cook/ clean a little.
I'm not sure it classifies as an activity as such but I turn the heater up to 27, take all of F's clothes and his nappy off and just let him hang around nude, never fails to get me 15 minutes of peace
The blotting up puddles is well worth it.
We also do a lot of silly singing games and "riding on a horse". This one is also good for your leg muscles - sit him across the top of my foot/ankle with legs crossed, hold his hands and sing silly "you are riding on a horse" invented song. He cracks up.

Tie a bit of string with a bell on each one of DD's ankles. Keeps her happy for hours well it did until this week.
Now she is starting to crawl and nothing entertains her except her teddy and getting into everything.:)

Great thread! I am always running out of ideas...
Today I put DS in the bjorn and we danced to MC Hammer :o

I also get a shallow tray and add water too it .. let her splash around for awhile then add a little con starch (makes a think paste like thing - that dissolves when picked up) this entertains both baby and 2 year old :)
MC Hammer, love it! Felix seems to have a strong preference for the rolling stones, and in particular the exile on main street album.
strange child.

J LOVES his nakie time! sometimes he can be cracking it, ive checked all the boxes, take all his clothes off, and, bam, happy! maybe not a great habit, but meh!!
he moves his bum, so he moves round in a circle in the one spot, if that makes sense, so 2 nights ago, he pee'd at 3, 12 and 9, ('ya know, on the clock) it was quite funny!
we popped him in the jolly jumper yesterday, loved that too, actually giggled for about 10 minutes! (big thing for this little munchkin!)
or perhaps he was giggling at the fact i was trying to dance and sing to justin timberlake:cool:

same stuff as most of you have mentioned already..
singing (the daggier the song, the better it would seem), dancing (as with singing - the more foolish I look the more she seems to love it), baby sit-ups (Miss Zoe lies on her back, holds my thumbs and pulls herself into a sitting then standing position), feeling stuff - we can spend an hour going around the house feeling different textures (soft and furry cats, silky smooth satin, fluffy lambs wool, cool and hard glass etc), Zoe loves being taken for walks in the great outdoors - loves looking at trees and clouds. Reading books (especially those with big bright pictures and textured bits), spending ages splashing around in the bath. Going around to all the different mirrors in the house and playing peek-a-boo with all the 'different Zoes'. She's getting better at tummy time now that I have put a big mirror in front of her - she flirts with the cute baby in front of her and forgets she's on her tummy
KateJo, sounds like our days follow the same patterns! We do exactly the same things again and again and again...
Felix really loves the Spot books, guess it is the very graphic contrasting pictures. He also loves to look at all the photos in the house.
We say good morning, good afternoon and good evening to everyone every day! He also loves poking his tongue out at that cute boy who pokes his back at him
Some really great comments ladies
I seem to go from floor to swing to jumperoo then back around again come next feed, he probably feels like it's groundhog day
But he doesn't complain, he is quite the content baby at the moment.
I can't wait for him to be on the move, and then yes we will have to start inventing new things to do! :yelclap:

ds plays a similar game, but his dummy will be in his mouth and he will spit it out, i get it, he wants it back, give it to him, and spits it out again:rolleyes: i call it 'go fetch', lol.

haha - have you tried the dummy clips? At least then the dummy won't end up on the floor?!
