Ok so the first one is, how can I stop my 13 month old from chewing his cot! he has teeth marks all over it.
And the second question is, My son has been diagnosed with having another ear infection. He has had constaint ear infections for the last month and a half. When should I be concerned about hearing. My partner is starting to get worried, because his pop has to wear hearing aids because when he was little he had constaint ear infections. I'm concerned too but don't know where to seek advice.
The cot biting.. not sure how to stop it but you can buy gaurd thingys that go on the cot rails to stop teeth marks. Most baby shops sell them.
Ear infections. I feel your pain. My not quite 3yr old has had probably 20 in his little life. His ear drums are discoloured and scarred and we've just been sent to an immunology clinic to help find out why he keeps getting them (immune system doesn't look so good).
I would ask your GP for a referral to an ENT and go from there.
:hugs: Hope the EI clears up soon.

Re the teething... yep, you can get cot rail toothguards that stop this from damaging th cot.
Ear infections... if there's been more than a few in such a short time I'd suspect that it's really just one that the AB's aren't fixing and the symptoms are going away for a short while but the infection has remained (i.e. the course of AB's was too short or the whole course not taken, or a different AB needs to be trialled).
Often grommits are inserted if there are constant ear infections in a child. It's a small operation (takes 10 mins, go home straight afterwards) and often is enough to keep the ears clear until they get a bit older and less prone to infections.
