Hi guys

We have just found out that my 3 year old son has a stigmatism and needs to see a specialist. We were recommended to Dr Lam, however haven't been able to get in until November. Does anyone have any Paediatric Ophthamologist or childs eye specialist in Perth that they would recommend. We would ideally like to get in asap to get this sorted and don't really want to have to wait until November to get in somewhere.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your recommendations!

Hi Sarahbelle,

You could try ringing the eye clinic desk at PMH and see who they have there (I know Dr Lam works out of there), then you would have a few names to try. There were two others I can think of that I remember from sitting waiting at the eye clinic and that is Dr Jonathon NG and another DR who's name rhymed with DR Lam might have been Dr Ham now i think of it:yes:
Hope that helps

Cheers Tina

Thanks Tina, I appreciate your reply. Do you know anything about Dr Lam? Is there any reason why I should wait to see him in particular that you know of?

Thanks again
Sarah

DD sees Dr Lam at PMH he did her recent eye surgery and did a great job, and when we seen him in clinic I found he was realy good with her as well, I dont know anyof the other consultants but I know Lam and his team are fantastic

We see Dr Lam because the boys were born prem and he reviews their eyes. I have only seen him a few times and he seems lovely explains things well.
I once worked with Dr Ng and he is also a very lovely guy.
I would still try the clinic and let them know what is happening with your little man and see if they recommend anyone else that maybe easier to get into see. It would most likely be quicker to see them in private rooms rather than waiting on the PMH clinic list.
