Childcare rebate

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else out there is still waiting for their jan to march quarter of their 50% rebate??
The excuses i get from family assistance are it is being processed and they have until up to 3 months after the cutoff to pay it, sometimes they blame my centre and before school care but they are up to date because of the new system
Am i the only frustrated one???

Sorry to hear that your still waiting for your rebate after almost 3 months. We received ours in the very next fortnightly pay period after the quarter ended. It was paid the same day as our FTB A. The longest we've had to wait is 4 weeks but that was because the childcare centre was slow to lodge their paperwork. I hope yours is sorted out soon.

i waited and waited for ine then i found out i was eligable i was so annoyed as we got the previous 2!!

I haven't received mine either - will have to ask about it next time I call them (which is almost daily the way they have been stuffing me around latley)

hi ladies,

i was getting very frustrated, but nicely and calmly asked the man at centrelink last time i had to call them (1 mth ago). He gave me the same response about the 3 mths stuff. But to my surprise it was paid into my bank account today!! yay!! perfect timing too because just bought a new car and have to pay stamp duty by friday... what are the odds!! maybe call again and ask if there is anything you could do to speed up the process?? i did that last yr and it ended up being paid the next week.

good luck... keep on their backs... it's not good enough!
