Making Balconies Safe For Toddlers

I am desperate to hear from other parents who have successfully secured their balcony area so that they don't have to shake with fear when there child is out there with them! How did you do it? I have heard that you can fix a perspex sheet to some balconies, anyone done this? All advice and suggestions very welcome. Thanks

Hi, we used shade cloth and cable ties all around our back balcony. It has done a great job as far as the sides go. Now all I need to worry about is when dd takes a chair out there to play with. i guess nothing is safer than constant supervision and a lock on the screen door!! :p
