First of all, congrats on the big day. When is it?

hello :) thanks!
yep i've paid an extra $5 per person at the reception for people to have finger foods while they're waiting for us with photos.. and the bar will be open.
only people in bridal party is me dp & our 4 kids.. but i will be sure to pack non messy snacks for them hehe. especially as girls will be dressed in white!
music.. yes need to organize that for the ceremony! thankyou!! the reception has a jukebox. i'll fix up my other post now :)
sewing kit is a great idea! as is having numbers on hand!! will make sure i put them all into my mobile.
transport is a big thing at the moment.. im waiting on quotes.. so far $750 is the best. its only taking us 2 places though.. from home to ceremony then to reception.. that'll be many 25mins of travelling all up maximum.. not going to pay that much!

By the looks of your lists, you have pretty much covered everything. Are you having a professional photographer or video person? That was about the only thing I could come up with. Good luck for your big day, hope you share photos!

Ceremony - I'm sure you've done it but you didn't mention organising the celebrant or whether they have processed your "notice of intent to marry" must be done at least a month before your day. Also are you thinking of doing up an order of service booklet. It's not essential but a very nice way of thanking your bridal party by listing them all in print. It's also a nice memento for your day with all the readings etc.
Are you providing rose petals to throw on you or bubbles for your guests to blow at the end?
Reception - have you chosen your menu and drink/alcohol options (consumption vs package) and have they given you a proposed "event order" (basically a run sheet of timings for the night). make sure the wedding co-ordinator knows whether you want to keep the top layer of the cake or if you want to serve it all for dessert. Ask for them to designate a special waiter whose only role is to look after yourself and the bridal party all night.
Are they providing a seating chart for your guests to know where to sit or do you need to make this yourself?
Are your kids sitting with you on the bridal table? Having a special kids table with their own favours and decorations (as well as fun activities) will make them feel special. You could make up some pretty lolly bags and they can double up as decorations as well.
Totally agree on the professional photographer. If it is out of your budget you could always supply some of the single-use cameras on the tables and ask you guests to take happy snaps during the night.
Would you like a guestbook and are you having a wishing well or will you need to ask for a present table? Make sure your venue provides skirted tables for this, as well as your cake table and bridal table if you are having one.
I love weddings!
Row:)
thankyou yes photographer i need to organize.. waiting to talk to a great guy whos taken family photos for us previously.. he doesnt do weddings but making an exception :)
will definitely post pics!!!
oh yep.. celebrant is organized & the marriage license was signed and done from that date so we are free to wed anytime..
when do people throw things at us? lol i have rose petals for the girls to throw down the aisle.. should i get bubbles?? that'd look great in photos hey!
menu.. the place we're going to is a set menu with 3 options for entree & 3 for main.. i do need to contact her again with dessert options :) all that for $30 a head! pretty good hey!! thinking of just putting up a tab for beer & wine - or i should do beer & soft drinks. i need to go up and pay deposit so hopefully i'll get some info then. i know she has the jukebox & a microphone.. and they dont charge to cut the cake so thats a plus :)
we were thinking of putting kids with us as its only us & them in the bridal party.. we werent too sure though as it may be a bit chaotic lol. a seperate kids table is fantastic! there is only 3 that would sit there though.. jakes a bit little.. hmm..
thinking of having a wishing well type thing.. so i wont need a pressie table.. and yep we have someone decorating bridal & cake table so they match.
love the disposable camera idea!! whats the quality like? should i just hope people bring their own cameras??
thanks heaps girls, i really appreciate your replies :)
