I had my first utrasound today and the doctor said that I was 10 weeks and 4 days pregnant, as I sat there and added it up it didn't work. I misscarried on the 9th of April. I hadn't had sex since the 6th and then didn't do it again till sometime after the 20th. Could the ultrasound be off by more then 10days? Or any other ideas what could of happened?

Those idea's also came about. I've ruled out a twin possiblity, as i was 6 weeks when i miscarried which would make this "twin" 16 weeks, plus i had an ultrasound on the 16th of April which confirmed that it was a complete misscarriage. I read somewhere about a women who could continue ovulating during pregnacy, but its so rare i find it hard to believe it could also happen to me. Any other ideas? LOL, I'll ask to doctor next wednesday, it's just so long away.
I'm sure someone more experienced could shed some light on this but 10 weeks and 4 days pregnant actually means 10 weeks and 4 days since last period doesn't it? So that would mean ovulation about 8 weeks 4 days ago, which would be around 24th April, which sounds possible if your body got back into synch straight away after your miscarriage on 9th April, and also fits in with the time you DTD.

I see, I like your thinking, it's the most logical that I have heard, and I will use it to help put my mind at rest because it has been going around in circles. I spoke to my doctor and she said not to worry about it and my friend told me, "does it really matter, when the baby wants to come it will come, my first came 10 days early and my second was induced after being almost 2 weeks over due." Now all I'll worry about is the pain in my back from having these things called boobs which i've never had before and the all day morning sickness. Why do women do this to themselves. LOL

:iagree:10w4d means 8w4d since fertilisation/ovulation
I conceived exactly 14 days after a miscarriage. I asked the same question of my health sister, how soon can you conceive after a m/c. she said she's had women who have conceived a 2nd baby only 5 days after giving birth (why anyone would want to bd 5 days after giving birth is beyond me!)
So anything is possible. I would personally think they might be out a few days on your dates (I knew EXACTLY when we conceived #3 and they placed him a few days different) and you o'd a few days after your m/c.
i fell pregnant 10 days after my m/c, i had a d & c and stopped bleeiding straight away, dr didnt believe i was pregnant again he said it was jsut the hormones still there but i was indeed pregnant again
