When can my baby start using a bouncer?
And can any of you recommend a good one? What should I be looking out for in a bouncer? It never occurred to me that i should get one but i've started to read about it...my baby is 5 weeks old...what's a good bouncer?
You can start now. Just get a basic bouncer with good straps to keep baby in and a toy bar that has some toys on it and you can attach more too if you want. Mine had a 3 point harness (no over the shoulder straps) and we were able to use it for a long time. Don't worry about vibration, music or other bells & whistles. They aren't worth the money! They're good for bubs to sit up in and see the world and the toys help with stimulation too :)

I agree with Mim1 about everything except the vibration.
With DS1 we hardly ever used the vibration but with DS2 it has been a godsend. DS2 has bad reflux and sometimes that is the only thing that settles him without us holding him in our arms.
I would get it just in case.....

We put our boy in a bouncer at 2 months. Found a Bright Starts one at Target for $40 :)
It's just a basic one, with 3-point harness and a toy bar, and it vibrates. DS loves it, still uses it now (5 months). Best $40 we ever spent!
