Hi
I am looking for a thick warm blanket for my 11mth old, can anyone recommend a good one.
I will probably buy online so won't be able to feel the thickness.
Thanks

With DD we had an old fashioned wool blanket (you know the ones with the satin edging) and it was lovely and warm not too heavy or thick but it did keep her toasty (I got it from pillow talk in Brisbane) don't need it up here though it wasn't too expensive either (under $50) but the wool breaths better than synthetic fabrics.

I bought 3 cot sized "hospital" blankets - you know the ones that aren't "solid" fabric (sorry, description part of my brain not working...) ie they have holes in them,
:laughing::laughing:
that was stupid.
The ones they use in hospital beds anyway - I found them in cot size. ATM DD is still little so I can double them over and only 1 blanket is really warm plus they breathe very very well and I don't worry about her overheating. I've never used "regular" blankets on either child's bed as I was always worried about the overheating thing.
ETA - I *THINK* they are called Cell Blankets...
how about a sleeping bag? we love them. dreambags.com.au are really nice quality. We also use an op shop granny square blanket

Bub sleeps on his tummy and I am not really comfortable with a sleeping bag and tummy sleeping. I use two blankets at the moment and fold them in half for extra warmth. I do have my daughters old one which is good but have it on her bed as an extra as her doona isn't thick enough.
