Hi Everyone,
I thought I would share my story to give some of you that have been TTC for a while some hope. I have two beautiful sons who were both conceived within 8 months of trying. When we decided to try for a 3rd, thats when all the problems started. My cycles became really irregular and I was only ovulating every 2-3 months and sometimes even longer.
After over a year of frustration I went to the doctor to find out what was happening. I was getting really bad cramps when I did ovulate and my skin was breaking out. She sent me to have ultrasounds and blood tests to see if I had PCOS. I didn't think that was even possible for me because I already had 2 DS but went for the tests anyway.
Both results came back negative but my Progesterone levels were really low. She wanted to monitor these for another few months and then she told me I would probably have to take Clomid.
The next couple of months passed and I only ovulated once in that time but went for the blood test to check my progesterone level again. This time is was nearly 60! She was surprised at this and told me to wait a week and then do a pregnancy test.
It's only been 4 days but I couldn't wait any longer. I did one this morning and guess what...:bfp:!!!!!!
I am totally in shock because we only DTD 1 time this last month and it was 2 days after O and partner didn't even 'finish'! My period is due tomorrow so I might re-test later in the week. I really hope it's a little girl this time, but would be happy with another little man!
So for everyone else who feels there is no hope left...DON"T GIVE UP!! It will probably happen when you least expect it :wave:
