Hi Everyone

I've been thinking about trying Preseed for the first time this cycle.

I spoke to my GP about it & her opinion was that it was a money making scam.

I'd love to hear your experiences & opinions regarding it.

Thanks so much:flowerz:

I have been using preseed for a few months now with no luck but also got diagnosed with PCOS so that could be the reason i've had no luck. I have heard a few ppl say that have used it and fallen pregnant but so far it hasn't worked for me.

I don't know whether it is a scam or not. The theory behind it makes sense to me.

It is not very expensive if you buy it off ebay. We used it in our boy attempt. Using regular my have been part of the reason for our girls.

If it is a money making scam, I am glad it is around! We tried for 12mths to get pg this time, one m/c, but no luck. First cycle with Preseed and I'm due next month!

Good luck.

Oh and have a look at the other Preseed threads for more stories:yes:

Hi there

I bought a whole box of it but keep forgetting I have it. I would say that it's pretty good as it doesn't kill the spermies like other lubricants.

I know if you're on clomid it can be good for replacing CM ( as clomid can dry it up). Also when you're breastfeeding as CM can be a bit scanty at that time too!

Sorry if too much info!!

We used it and fell pregnant first time both times (first pregnancy resulted in a m/c though).

I was interested in it because I found that continual bd'ing during the ttc process can not make the juices flow as easily, if you know what I mean. Preseed helps to up your lubricancy, making it more pleasurable for both of you whilst also providing additional lubrication to help his little swimmers feel welcomed. Apparently as you get older you have less lubrication, so it was an advantage for me, age-wise as well.

I sometimes think when dr's dismiss something so easily they just dont know much about what they're talking about and try to cover it up by bagging the product.

Hey Iris,

I used Preseed last cycle everytime we BD'd. Unfortunately (as you know :)) I didn't get UTD!! I did by 2 boxes and will use it next cycle and see how we go. It is good if you need lubrication though, very natural & not sticky or slimy!!

I have heard great things about preseed - but it's only really going to work if you're lacking in egg white cervical mucous.

And, just wanted to add, I was considering using this as I didn't have any discernible egg white cervical mucous in my cycle... but then I started taking evening primrose oil capsules (well a omega 3,6,9 mix = evening primrose, fish and linseed oil mix)

When I heard so many women swearing by this to increase or actually produce EWCM when they have never noticed it before, I decided to give it a go. At least if the evening primrose worked I would get other health benefits for the cost and get real ewcm, as apposed to a synthetic ewcm.. in my mind like drinking more water because I Have a headache instead of taking a panadol but then still having a headache and needing another panadol later....iykwim?

So as a evening primrose/fish oil capsule would be really healthy to take in pregnancy and pre conception anyway - I highly highly recommend trying it for a few months.

Not only is my hair and skin looking great! But I get loads of EWCM and actually more CM in general which is so helpful to track where I am in my cycle - so I have a much better idea when I'm ovulating and when I'm about to get my period now!

So give it a go - your nails, joints, hair etc will be happy about it anyway and you could always use the pre-seed - but trust me I have not needed it last month since taking it every day for a month, and very much doubt I would need it due to the amount of ewcm at ovulation now! (sorry if tmi)

Hi Iris,

I used Preseed on my last two cycles and as you know got my BFP on the 2nd cycle.

I just brought the normal preseed lubricant not the applicators but that was just personal preference. I can't say for a fact that it is the reason we fell pregnant but it may have helped.

I aslo agree with pdogsmum that is a natural lubricant and not sticky and slimy like most are.

I asked at the chemist & was told it would'nt help get me pregnant , its only beneficial for those who need lubrication.

Am torn because I have read alot of success stories, but have also read unsuccessfull stories & was told by a pharmacist that it would'nt help:confused:
