Hi
I've had the O'Connell Family Centre, Canterbury, recommended to me. I know several people who've been there and who have been really pleased. There's also the Queen Elizabeth Centre in Noble Park, but I don't know much about them. With the O'Connell Centre, when you place the initial phone call they can take up to 6 weeks to return your call for the first phone consultation/discsussion. I don't know if you can get a faster response with a referral from a health professional?? Perhaps others can advise on this. They have a website with some good information on it.

Good luck

Do you have private health insurance? As it is alot quicker to get into the private hospitals then queen elizabeth etc...I have been to Sth Eastern Private Hospital with all my 3 and it is great, 5 night stay program and waiting list only about 2 weeks

Northpark and Maroondah private hospitals also have residential programs that are quite well regarded I think.

You can get Tweddle to come and do a home visit within about a week, but they are quite tough. O'Connell takes a bit of a gentler approach as I understand it.

Waiting lists for Tweddle and QEC are generally pretty horrendous (even child protection clients sometimes have to wait up to 6 - 8wks for residential stays and they get priority).
