Have posted this in AP area, but thought I would post here too - you may not clasify yourself as an "Attachment Parent" before you know what it means - Attachment Parenting is simply a more natural parenting style - ie you carry your baby a lot, are pro-breastfeeding, and co-sleep. Enough with the definitions- here's my post!

Ive really had it with the parenting style encouraged in the regular (council run) Mothers Group (ie promoting controlled crying etc) and have decided to start my own AP mothers group - for like minded mums to meet and make friends in a safe, encouraging environment. Time we started to feel good about our instinctive parenting choices like breast feeding, co-sleeping and baby wearing etc) rather than hide them!

Meet ups (mums and bubs!) will be held in Bentleigh/Ormond/Mckinnon area - rotating amongst homes or if required we can move to local community centre.
Please PM me if you're interested. If you're not from this area in Melbourne and you're feeling a bit isolated from society I encourage you to start your own gp too! There are bound to be other Mums local to you seeking the same support amd friendships.
