Question about progesterone blood test

I am on Day 14 of my cycle. The Dr has given me a blood test referral to do on day 21 to see if I have ovulated.

I bought an ovulation testing kit, Clear Blue, the digital one and I tested on Day 12. I got a smiley. Yay.

DH and I have DTD the night of Day 12 and Day 13 and we will DTD tonight to make sure.

My question is.. if :fingerscrossed: we have suceeded will it come up in my progesterone test on Day 21?

the test on day 21, will show wether you ovulated, by your progesterone levels being high, progesterone is produced by the ovaries, causes ovulation, and helps a pregnancy progress if you fall preg

so the test your having, won't tell you wether you are preg or not, but will show wether you ovulated or not

it this correct ovulation predictor kits only predict a LH surge being the hormones that trigger ovulation rather than confirm that you have in-fact ovulated

the blood test is the only way to confirm that ovulation did take place

we are waiting until day 21 to take this blood test as part of the investigation as to why we are not pregnant yet, then doing an ultrasound

no it wont tell you whether your preg....sorry!!! :o

No it won't tell you whether you are pregnant or not.
I just recently experienced this and when I went to get my results back my progesterone was MUCH higher than it ever has been and my GP said that could be an indicator that I had conceived but it would be too early to tell. I had to wait another week to do a HPT but it was ++++++++:yelclap:

Ahhhhh! That is the answer I want!!!

I just had the test today (day 21) and will get results in about 4-5 days so I am HOPING I will get higher levels too!!!!! It will be about day 26 by then so if it is high I should be able to do a PT.
