Mothers Support group Paddington Qld

Hi,

I am trying to find out if there are any mother support groups in Paddington Qld.

I am expecting my first child in a week or so and would love to be able to meeting with other mothers and share experiences and make some friends.

How are you going? Wow only a week to go - bet you can't wait. My name is Kerri and I live at Aspley with hubbie and 11mth old Georgia and bub no.2 on the way (due May 29 05). We've recently gotten a mums group together, which is really nice to meet up once a week or when ever you can make it (you can see all our postings under QLD - Brisbane. Paddington isn't too far away and most of us seem to be living around north side of Brisbane. The oldest baby is 14mths ranging down to 41/2 mths. All of us are first time mums so far. We take turns meeting at each others houses and don't mind a bit of travel. Anyway, if you are interested, just email me back, otherwise will catch up with you here on the forum. One group I know that will meet in your area is the Australian Breastfeeding association. While they are passionate about breast feeding, they run a program that covers many other topics. I went along to my local group semi-regularly while on maternity leave with my first baby (and yes, even after I started bottle feeding her at 6.5 mths - they are not all breast-nazis ;) ). I've joined in the group meeting on the Southside so I hope to meet you there soon. There's a few people orgainising get togethers around Brisbane. If you jump onto the Queensland/Brisbane thread you might find something that catches your eye.
