Hi!
I'm considering making the change to cloth nappies but i'm wondering if it should be ok for DS to wear them to daycare (2 days/ week).
Obviuosly with the modern nappies there's no problem with them knowing how to change him ... but do you think the daycare will have a problem with keeping the used nappies in his bag. (The babies bags are kept in lockers in the main room)
Just wondering if anyone else has experience with this??
Cheers!
only as being a childcare worker myself.. my DS is cloth bummed but not in care.
I worked at many different centres (relief staff) and it varied greatly between centres. Honestly the only way you will know is to ask. If they don't they seem to come up with pretty flimsy excuses  so be prepared for that!

Much to my disappointment all the ones in my area say that they don't use cloth nappies - disposables only! But I have heard some places do let you use them, and I reckon MCNs are as easy to use as sposies so you should just ask.

If its a good centre then they generally should allow you to bring mcn's for your children.
Some centres supply nappies so I can understand if they refuse, however If there asking you to supply nappies I don't think there actually alloud to discriminate against cloth nappies. Take one in, have a chat and show them how simple it is.
Otherwise if they refuse I'd ring the accreditation board and see whether theres actually a problem or its simply because they don't like any change. ;)

My DD goes to Family Day Care and her carer is quite happy to use mcn's. I send a wet bag and all she has to do is put the dirty/wet nappies in the wetbag and then they come home with me. She says she prefers it as it is less smelly rubbish for her bin.
It isn't anymore work for the carer.
