baby seems turned off feeding all of a sudden???

HI! Can anyone shed some light or tell me a story from their own experience?

My 12 week old girl has suddenly (last few days) seemed to have lost interest in feeding at the breast. (her only option by the way as never given her anything else. No dummy either)

I don't understand this at all as she seems perfectly well and alert.

SHe will feed bits here and there but there are large gaps in the day when she won't even put her mouth to the breast.

I'm quite baffled and hope it's a normal phase of some sort. She has always feed extremely well until now.

How often and how long are the feeds?

Mine refused the breast at 3 months (but would take EBM from the bottle).

My partner's mum identified it (correctly) as a nursing strike, which was lucky as I'd not heard of them.

I think there's some good info on them on the Kellymom and ABA web sites.

Not sure if it applies to your situation, but maybe have a look at the description to see if that's what it is.
