Hi All

Well we had DD's specialist appointment yesterday and we were told what i didn't want to hear......That DD needs to wear a harness to correct her immature hip socket :crying: .....Not nice at all.....she had it put on yesterday and she is one unhappy little girl

My question to you is how did you get your baby to sleep?....DD used to sleep on her side but with this harness on there is no chance of that.....the only way we can settle her is on her tummy! .....None of our kiddies have ever slept on their tummys so early on, i feel very uneasy about it, but last night it was the only way we could calm her down and get her to sleep.........What did you do?.......MM xx

My bub wore hers from birth, so she was used to sleeping on her back. I did used to wrap her arms, and leave her legs out, occasionally when she wouldn't settle. I couldn't put her on her tummy because the brace would press on her shoulders (she was in a von rosen)

:hugs: It's hard having a baby in a brace :( But it will get easier. I hope someone finds some great ideas for you that work

ETA she is out of her brace now, and she will only sleep on her tummy LOL.

I don't really have any suggestions because my DD slept the same in the harness as to out of the harness.

As already mentioned I did wrap her arms to sleep and kept her legs free.

Just really wanted to say it may take a couple of days of adjustment but she will get use to the harness (parents on the other hand can take a bit longer).

My DD went into the harness when she was 7wks.

Thankyou :hugs: DD was 6 1/2 weeks so about the same as your little one, how long was she in the harness for?
