Thirteen years ago, a friend with multiple allergies who had just given birth was given yoghurt (to be applied topically) to treat an outbreak of thrush down there.

She was told that eating yoghurt would also be beneficial, but applying it moreso.

But yes, I think you should ask a pharmacist, but could try some yoghurt in the interum.

yoghurt is all natrual, and works wonders for some

definatly have a chat to the pharmacist they will put you right, I know there are a few creams out there that are alright for bubs, but I can't remember the names

I find eating yoghurt helps. Canasten is safe whilst breastfeeding. Fluconazole is less certainly safe, but I was prescribed it for nipple thrush, as nothing else worked, when Esme was tiny.

Yoghurt helps as does Inner Health Plus capsules.

Any of the topical creams are safe and although the packets of the tablets say not while breastfeeding it doesn't get passed through the milk in large amounts however there hasn't been enough research done for them to advertise it for nursing mums.

hope that makes sense - I really need some sleep :)
