tmi need advice sorry

hello i am now 33 to 35 weeks pregnant depends who you go by i believe i am 35 weeks anyway the last 2 days i have had the runs really bad and i was just wondering if anyone else had this i dont understand why all of a sudden i have this as its been normal pretty much and i am taking iron tablets and they say that that helps as it more then likely makes you constipated. so to have the runs seems weird to me what do you think?

Could be a stomach bug. Unless you're having contractions I wouldn't worry too much (make sure you have plenty of water). Maybe bulk your bowels up with some extra fibre. If it goes on for more than 4 days I'd call your care provider for an appointment.

I couldn't take iron tablets, made me feel off and gave me the runs;)

I heard your bowels like to empty themself before you go into labour. So maybe you will be in labour soon???

Yeah as Jackzmumma said, some people do get diarrhoea from iron tablets. Also sometimes if you have been constipated your bowels go into overdrive to clear the constipation and you will have diarrhoea for a few days.

I started taking iron tablets 2 days ago and since then I have had the most horrible gas pains, and lots of well.... 'explosions'. So could be the iron, have you had a funny tummy aswell? Because that is how i've been feeling. Or could be sign of things to come! I agree with the others just keep an eye on it and get it checked if things don't settle or get worse in the next couple of days.

i have had sharp pains eveywhere today on and off dont feel like gas pains but then who knows whats going on in there. i have been on the iron tablets since i was 27 weeks so for a while and when i first started i had trouble going but then everything went back to normal and now i have the opposite problem and i hate it lol.
when i had my second daughter i had whilst in labour so i dont want anything like that this time if i can help it.

i am sorry that you guys are having that or the opposite its just so annoying cant anything be normal in pregnancy lol.

My waters broke at exactly 37 weeks and our baby came about 12 hours after that. The day before I had the runs out of the blew..

If you've been on iron tablets since 27 weeks, my guess would be that you'll be meeting your bubba sooner rather than later

Hi all i hope you are all having a great day.
i just wanted to up date what was going on i rang the midwife and she just said it doesnt matter how long you have the runs for it doesnt effect anything which is so totally oppositie to everything i have heard and read. today the pains have picked up a little they hurt actually my whole tummy and pelvic area kill and now my back is starting on me oh the joys. Still have the runs sorry again tmi but i dont feel sick or anything just have them for no reason strange i say, i thought my midwife told me last time if i had it for longer then 24 hours i had to go in but the lady i talked to said no. they all say different stuff. i will just keep drinking fluid and see how i go as long as the baby doesnt make a dash for the finish line over the weekend i will be ok as its my 2 year old daughters party adn then her dads on tuesday. So to much happening for her to make an entrance yet fingers crossed she stays put for at least 2 more weeks.

which iron tablets did you take for yours i have ones with vitamin c in them as well
