Now I would like to start of by saying that I gues it's nice that people are kind enough to offer me their time. Very nice.
But, enough is enough. When a 100 year old nanna offers to help unpack my shopping trolly. She could hardly lift her own butter:p
Then 5 min later another mum comes over and offers too.
I asked if it looked like I was having trouble? She said it did a bit:(
Now I'm sort of getting irritated at offers of help. This keeps happening every time I go out an about.
I wear my baby in a Sling or Ergo and really don't think I am struggling at all. I should know if I was..... right?
Gah!
 You can send them my way! Are you in Brisbane? I'll have to start hanging out at your local shops!:D
The only time i run into trouble is when I have the baby in the Ergo at the supermarket. I find it a bit difficult to lean down and pick up the the ridiculously heavy bags and arrange them in the trollley. I was so pleased when the checkout guy did it for me the other day.
Actually, getting the tins out of the trolley is a bit awkward as well...
I had DD in the ergo in the back carry position down the shops for the first time the other day (to combat the leaning over prob you described MsMummy) and couldn't figure out how to get her out! Usually I just sit on the bed at home and ease her out, but couldn't at the shops! Luckily another mum came to the rescue and helped!
But, it does get annoying being asked "are you ok, can I help?" at least 2-3 times every time I go out!

I can imagine it would be frustrating when you don't need the help and are managing just fine.
But....it's nice to know that there are people out there that DO care about others and like to help out if they think it's needed. I don't know how many other posts I have read about others being sick/tired/almost in tears when struggling when out, and having others just stare. Look for the silver lining (even if it is through gritted teeth) and think that you are one of the lucky ones, surrounded by caring people.
Hmmmm, I have worn DD in a sling almost everywhere for the last year and never noticed this. I wouldn't mind it though, especially when I need to get stuff from the bottom shelf at the store, that would be great

 Yes, I don't use the back position if I'm out by myself as it's pretty ungraceful and a bit dangerous when I put him on and take him off...there's a lot of near dropping and wriggling...so I do it over soft surfaces. Once he can hang on a bit better, it should be okay.
