What do I ask??

Hi All

My partner and I are currently looking for a sperm donor so we can start our own little family :)

We are looking at a couple of lovely guys but we are just wondering what kind of questions we should ask them

What to ask !


Depends what you want from them !

Are they known donors or co parents ie.....will they have access and decision making roles or will they be sitting in the background waiting for you to contact them on a casual basis.

What you ask them very much depends on what you expect of them. What they ask you very much depends on what they are hoping to gain from the arrangement.

Where the raising of children is concerned all of you should feel comfortable to ask all questions; and feel they are being answered honestly. Communication and set boundaries are vital.

So I guess the most important question to ask them would be

What are you looking for in this arrangement ?
How do they see their roles in a childs life ?

If it is a coparenting arrangement then you would ask them the same questions that you would ask a prospective partner ie: you need to get to know them well.
