Are you south or north side?
We just swapped from Erindale leisure centre to Tuggeranong because Erindale is doing renovations until term 4 but we won't be swapping back when they reopen because even though they were good, Tuggeranong is HEAPS better - Water always seems warm (that was a bit of a problem at erindale, even when the weather was good let alone on cold days!) Teachers seem a lot more in tune with childrens signals and seem to have a greater knowledge of child development in general and are great with passing on and reinforcing that info.
Also the facilities are great. Nice big CLEAN pools and change rooms and there's a cafe there as well which is great for when nanny and grandad come along :)
Hope that is helpful to you, though if you are on Northside obviously not!
Good luck finding somewhere, it's a lovely thing to watch them having fun in the water and at the same time knowing that they are learning an invaluable skill :)

Apparently CISAC is good, however I have no experience with their lessons. Our kids go to Aquatots at Gold Creek with their school swimming program and it is fantastic. I know a few parents whose kids go there for lessons and think highly of it as well.
sarah, i havent heard good things about CISAC. Aqua tots is supposed to be great.
good luck with your search
our experience with cisac was not good - i wouldn't recommend it...too many children in each class and the teachers made little effort.
heard the ones at the AIS were good however

I didn't like CISAC at all!
I was going to try Aquatots, as I heard fantastic things about them, but found they were very expensive.
AIS were fully booked when I last tried them, but they were trying to get more instructors.
Have been a bit slack on the follow-up, I admit!
Civic runs a program. The kids enjoyed that one when they were at school.

Aquatots used to be fabulous! I only say "used to be" because my DS was only a tot when we took him and we haven't used them recently.
I have heard good things about Kings Swim School in Macgregor too. Their prices seem quite reasonable as well. (They have a website - just google them)

My two go to Aquatots in Gold Creek, and we love it! We dont' find them that expensive - for the price if they miss a lesson they get a make up pass, which a few other swim schools don't offer, so for us it's worth it. They also have free family fun days on the weekend, where you can take your little one down and practice for free!
The staff are great and kids love it, so we're really happy!

:oOops! I think it was Kings that was too expensive for the 3 kiddies. Sorry! Aquatots couldn't cater for DD2 as she was too old, so it just didn't suit us.
