Just out of curiosity...
I know on average most labours get shorter, but how long was labour with your second bub?

My first was 3hr 20 mins
Second was 45 mins
So quicker here for sure.
Bit worried about third:p

My labour for Cobey was slighty augmented by have them break my waters when I was 4cm.. he was born an hour later after a very intense contraction-on-top-of-contraction labour.
However there was zip zero no intervention for Eva's birth and it was probably 8 hours from active labour (I don't know for sure because I had no VEs... so from when I had to work in my contractions)
I was at the hospital longer with Cobes though :p

My labour with DD was 31 hours and very traumatic, culminating with five hours at final stage, lots of vomiting, an assisted delivery, a PPH and a night in ICU. Couldn't hold my baby for 2.5 hours after she was born because I couldn't control my arms and it took from 9pm to 11.30pm to stitch me up.
Haven't had number 2 yet but am having dreamy visions of a lovely, drug-free six-hour labour with a peaceful ending and a baby that breastfeeds happily straight away. Will keep you posted! :D

I was induced with both so not sure if that makes the times count as much but my second labour was about 25 mins shorter
DD was 5 hrs 45 mins
DS was 5 hrs 20 mins
From waters broken to baby in my arms!

Unfortunately over 10 hours for both before intervention. Had a C-section & vaccuum extraction. Had epidurals both times because I couldn't deal with the contractions. I've actually wondered if it would have been different without the epi, maybe shorter, maybe longer. I'm scared again for my 3rd labour, thinking about a planned caesar. I feel like a wuss, but.....:o

Boof was 39hrs as far as the hospital is concerned but it was a good 50hrs & thats without pre-labour ....
With G I apparently had no labour as far as the hospital is concerned as I only arrived there in time for him to make his arrival lol but it was 19hrs ... Again not including pre-labour !
So yep definitely shorter here but I think thats also because G was in the right position whereas Boof was posterior :dizzy:

My first labour was 3 hours and my second labour was 15 minutes, all a bit quick for my liking lol
Midwifes were shocked at how quick it all happened and so was i, i'd hate to see how quick the 3rd one is - that is if there is a 3rd lol
