ergo or baby bjorn carrier?

I bought an infant carrier which was on offer in target but I have used it twice and find that it gives me back ache and that my 4 week olds head falls forward even tho there is a neck support. It is also bulky.

So I want to get either the ergo or the baby bjorn active carry.

I have heard good things about the ergo but looks quite bulky and dosent look like there is much support for your back.

The baby bjorn looks light and the active one has lumbar support which looks good.

So which one would you recommend?

Don't waste your money on a Baby Bjorn!
Ergos are about the same price and are sooooo much better.

There's no strain on your back because the weight is distibuted on your hips.

I use my Ergo when I take the dog walking. My DS is 10.5kg and it feels like he weighs nothing in it, and he's so comfy that he often falls asleep.

we went through the same decision process. We're SO happy we ended up getting the ergo!!! IT's a bit pricier (cos you need to get the infant insert as well)...BUT it's SO GOOD!!!! i love it!! it's so easy to get the baby on and off!! and my baby (4 weeks too) is really hard to settle...but everytime we put him in the ergo...he falls asleep and sleeps longer than usual!! i think he feels very warm and secure. I think in this type of weather, the ergo gives much more protection than the bjorn (which i've always though was more exposed). Waht's alos good is you can wear it so many different ways!!

I'm very petit...i've worn the ergo for more than 2 hours and my back has never hurted. In fact..if anything - the ergo gives me great posture!!! i also feel that it gives great support to my bub...so i HIGHLY recommend it!!

I also would recommend the Ergo. My baby went in it a week after he was born (with the infant insert) and was happy and settled the first time he was in it. I have taken him for long walks (up to an hour) without it gettting uncomfortable, and also wear it around the house sometimes when he wont settle, as he will always settle once he is in it! I haven't tried any others, but did a bit of reasearch before I bought it, and it seems that everyone recommends the Ergo. :)
