No they are not really like either of them. They have a pocket that the bamboo booster slides into (that is included in the price). Hard to describe! They are super absorbant and I find they hold heaps and don't leak. The magicall is bulkier than the itti's but it is a lovely fit. My DD wears Itti's and Magicalls she has been wearing a medium in both since she was 3.5 months old and she is now 12.5 months, both are still a good fit but the magicall probably has more room for growth.
The magicalls do take a long time to dry, especially in winter. You have to turn them inside out - there is a sewn-in section and that takes the longest to dry. I prefer my Itti snap-ins because they dry quicker, so at this time of year I just use my magicalls as a night nappy.
I can recommend getting one to trial
They are all quite different from each other - the 3 you've mentioned.....
BBH Magicalls have a built-in microfibre booster and also, a pocket. They come with a bamboo insert for the pocket, and you can put other extra boosters in as well to boost absorbency. A lot of people use them for overnight. They are quite a bulky nappy.
The Itti has it's booster either snapped in or sewn in and is very trim. It's more of a day nappy...
The Cushie Tushie has a shell with a snap in and lay in bamboo booster covered with a stay dry fleece. It is also quite bulky, but you have to expect that with an OSFM AI2.
I have all these.....I seem to have a leakage problem with the Magicall, which surprises me because I don't see any negative comments about them.....perhaps it's just not a good design for DD. I prefer the sewn in Itti for a couple of wees day nappy, and I love the Cushie Tushies.
I got a couple of really nice nappies on Genesa Forge recently too.....

Sorry to hijack your post MM! Just wanted to say to Harriet - I could never get the cushie tushie to fit my daughter, it always gaped around her chubby thighs, yet the magicall has never leaked and works great as a night nappy and holds sooo much! It weighs a ton when I take it off in the morning. Funny how some have great success with a nappy and others just can't get it to work for them!! Ahh well, guess it means we just have to keep on buying more in the hunt for the perfect MCN!
I know SS!!! I really want my Magicalls to work!! but they just seem to leak on her:confused: I don't know if it's compression leakage or what......she's in mediums now, but the smaller one always leaked too. Think I'm going to sell them soon.
The CT fits DD now (she does have very chubby thighs) but I can't imagine it doing her until TT. Funnily enough, I have one CT (a cuddlyfleece one) that is way bigger than all my other coutures!
